Welcome to the 6th edition of Challenge Cup Cup! The most anticipated tournament of the year is back and we are all ready to witness legendary clashes in the greatest formats of all time! After 8 weeks, our journey is coming to an end. Who is going to win it all? Will the defending champions Woopers be able to pull a historical back to back? Or will the Foxes prove that winter is indeed coming and so is their triumph? Ladies and genetlement, it's finals time!

(You can also check the Consolation Cup Final (add as many Cs as you want to the acronym), which is going to occur between Team Shroomish and Oddish)

Mystery Box

The Mystery Box for the Semifinals and Finals (and the same applies to to the Consolation Cup) is none other than a Best of Mystery Box!

The players will engage in a best of 5 series where each game is a short series in itself to be played in one of the Mystery Box formats that we had during the regular season. The higher seed picks first and then it's going to be loser's pick for the following games. All the Mystery Box-specific formats have been shortened to make sure the series don't last too long. Therefore, the players will get to choose between:
- Challenge Cup 1v1 with terastalization best of 5
- Chimera Challenge Cup 1v1 best of 5
- Bring 6 Pick 4 Challenge Cup 2v2 best of 3
- Bring 6 Pick 6 Challenge Cup 2v2 best of 1
- Challenge Cup "Trio" now consists in playing Challenge Cup 6v6, Challenge Cup 1v1, Challenge Cup 2v2. All of them are in best of 1
- Challenge Cup 1v1 "LJDA" best of 5
- Challenge Cup 6v6 First Blood best of 3

Gz vulpix you all ate us all up

Every hero has an origin story...
1000036377.png
Our journey begins with two people, quite literally on opposite sides of the world. We have:
O1V7O2X9O who is looking to embark on his first ever CCC journey and this random bitch meamPearl who signed up knowing damn well the hosts would be giving hella sideyes the entire tour because... reasons
1000036297.png
But REGARDLESS, these two set out on a journey in order to become the best debut manager in CCC history, with only an OMFL (I think that was the acronym I didn't do the tour) semifinals appearance as their combined managing experience; again, I didn't manage the tour so I quite literally had none.
They set out on their journey not even expecting to be selected, but after only 9 pairs signed up, they somehow got picked by being able to write s coherent paragraph on why they wouldn't get manager banned during a Challenge Cup tour.
With this newfound power, they set out on the next steps of the plan...
1) Draft the best team of icons imaginable
2) Win
But in order to do that, they'd have to SCOUT, and so the chronically online random, we'll just call then Meam, decided to make a Whole Ass Scouting doc of like 200 people, from the sign ups that actually laddered and played last CCC to the people who signed up for Natdex and OU during a CC tour because illiteracy is apparently common. With this, and the help of 30+ tryouts, Meam and.... we'll call the other person Steven, were ready to embark on the Jack Be Nymbles dynasty! Why the Jack Be Nymbles? Well, Meam was given creative liberty over the team name and after literally 30 minutes of finding inspos they found a rather unique inspo; a damn nursery rhyme. Seems fitting being Meam was also the only <18 managing afaik.
On draft day, the Nymbles didn't experience any difficulty, other than Steven having to be awake at 5:30 in the damn morning bc draft hated Australians. But, they sniped the Shroomish about 4 times, took some precautionary picks that aged really well, and overall completed every thing on their draft plan. They were rea- okay who the HELL decided to write this shit in third person like no girlie we aren't gonna pull a damn James Patterson in this bitch. Okay ANYWAY, I'm supposed to maintain good PR or smth but I'm not making any promises; as a result, I get to say fuck 3 times! Fuck. Welp, only one more.... damn it....
Okay SO, week 1 rolls around, and we're paired against the Wynauts. I figured we had a good shot. Our team, while VERY inexperienced with CCC, you know, since we had 75% DEBUTANTS, was still VERY skilled and definitely had the ability to pull away. Except... we got haxxed.
and haxxed...
and haxxed...
and haxxed...
Need I say more?
By the end of 10 games, we were down 2-8, with 4-5 highway robberies and 3 migraines... wait when the hell was that in the script? Someone's getting firrred. Okay where were we? Oh, yeah. We knew we needed to end the week with momentum, AND GUESS WHO DID, THE MF NYMBLES! We may have not won 4-8, but we ended with momentum and never gave up BECAUSE A NYMBLE NEVER BACKS DOWN!!!!! And at the end of the day, the Woopers won CCC5 without winning week 1, why couldn't we do the same?
By week 2, our team chat was finally starting to be more active, as the Australian syndicate had reached their full number of soldiers, being energetic and iconic. But don't get it twisted, the American syndicate did just the same, but gradually. This week was about building connections and creating traditions. This week, we drew the Bagons, a tough team for sure, but we KNEW that we could pull out a win. We started out much better than last week but eventually lost some footing and found ourselves down 4-6. Once again, we had to LOCK IN and WIN OUR SETS and Win. We. Did. We snagged the final two wins of the week and gained our first ever point. Gaining the first point seems.. insignificant, but these things build. Especially for a first time manager. We're still in this; Woopers didn't win week 2 either, so we're still on track.
Another week, another opponent; this time, the Fletchlings. They're a strong team, top in the standings, but the Nymbles are NOT to be underestimated. We started out 4-0. The team spirit was flowing, the pop culture references were spreading (entirely by me at this point) and we're on our highest high of the year.

And then it all came crashing down. We ended up tying the week; disappointed. We have 2 points, near the bottom of the standings, and we're no longer on the Wooper path. And unironically, the Woopers are our next opponent.
So this is REALLY GREAT. And you know, I thought that it would resolve itself, except then I played Piyu in week 4 and MY MIRAIDON GOT FROZEN ON TURN ONE WHEN I WOULD HAVE WON TURN 2. MIRAIDON WAS FROZEN SOLID, WELL MAYBE MIRAIDON CAN FREEZE TO DEATH LIKE THE PIECE OF FU-
Okay mayyyybe those PR lessons would have been worth it.... So sure, I didn't win a set for the first time, but just because I fell short doesn't mean our team will do the same. Our team stood firm in the face of opponents like Michael and Losco (now how in the hell did we all let Woopers grab BOTH of them lmfaooo) and WE WON THE DAMN WEEK 7-5. In a clutch performance like LeBron in the 2017 NBA Finals, We, the Nymbles, were back in this thing. The :clock: and :tea: emojis were starting to flow, and we were back on our highest highs of the season.
And then it all came crashing down... well, not ALL, but yeah.... Week 5 rolls around, and we're matched with the Vulpix, needing a win to get into a good playoff position. While we had started strong the last three weeks, this week was an exception. Now don't get me wrong, our vibes were stronger than ever and we still brought that energy, but something was off in our collective play... and in our RNG. We ultimately lost the week 5-7. We're at 4 points. We HAVE to win the final two weeks in order to make playoffs, and we can't afford any missteps, or we'll fall off the face of the CCC world.....

Oops the haters broke containment let me just..... *distant screaming* Okay where were we? Oh yeah.
SO, entering week 6 against our rivals, the Shroomish, we KNEW we had to lock in, stand on business, and win in order to keep our playoff hopes alive. In other words, we had to...
1000036322.jpg

AND CLOCK THAT TEA WE DID. WE HAD OUR BEST PERFORMANCE OF THE ENTIRE SEASON (ironically on the one week I didn't play) as we were able to keep our playoffs hopes alive, sadly eliminating the Shroomish in the process. It would have been nice to see both of the yappiest manager pairs ravaging the playoffs, but alas; it was just not to be. We WILL avenge the Shroomish, make playoffs, and etch our name in the history books.
Week 7. The final stretch, against the Oddish, who.. wait they're winless? Shit if we lose this week istg......
Not only did we have to beat the Oddish, but we had to rely on the Wynauts/Woopers series being lopsided or the Vulpix losing. So Of Course, the Vulpix won the week within like 36 hours and Wynaut v Wooper started 3-3. But we were doing our part, being ahead 5-2. We needed a miracle, but we're still in this.
We win our week in another day. Wooper gets three straight. We're still in this.
Wooper gets another win. We have a chance. Just One. More. Win.
Another win. We actually did it...... after being given like a 20% chance after week 5, we're here. With a team of literally 75% debutants. After drafting every diamond in the rough imaginable, after me spamming the Rhythm app in our team vc for like 5 days with nobody joining, after us making multiple "clock that tea" and :nymbleloading: chains in our team chat, after the three discussions on if Australia has Social Security numbers, after spamming brainrot memes in chat at 1 am -5, after trolling Fran with pineapple pizza, we are HERE and we aren't going ANYWHERE!

Yeah so I can give you this Nymble but like it's gonna cost 30 dollars.
Talk about inflation... what's the bio?
It was born in Queensland, somehow. I just run the store so do you really think I'm a damn Biology major?
That's not what I... whatever. Just give me the damn Nymble!
Why the hell do you even want this grasshopper thing anyway? It's literally just a bug.
First off it's a GOLDEN BUG and because it's ADORABLE. Look at the eyes. LOOK THAT THE EYES YOU PIECE OF SH-
So yeah I found us our very own mascot.
1000036337.png

And he's doing VERY well right now thank you for asking. The team welcomed Larry with open arms as we set our sights on winning this thing.
AND YES NYMBLE IS ADORABLE I DON'T WANNA HEAR ANYONE HATING IN THE COMMENTS THOSE BEADY EYES ARE AMAZING IT'S JUST A SMOL BABY CHERISH THE NYMBLE
As the bottom seed, we have to play the top seed in the first round; we have a rematch with the defending champion Woopers. We're ready. We've beaten them once before. Well just beat them again.
We trade blows. They get a point, we get a point, and on and on until suddenly, we go into a slump. We can't afford this we have to right the ship or we're gonna...
"Defense used Electro Ball"
"it's Super Effective!"
"Tornadus fainted!"
"Blui won the battle"
it's.... over. The last series doesn't matter; we've already lost seven...... we.... didn't win. Any plot armor we could have mustered... ran out. I was out with my bsf during our final sets and we were in JCPenney looking at all the makeup products because we were bored and my mother was taking way too damn long to check out and it was like 11:40 am. I was watching the series on my phone using the shitty JCPenney guest WiFi and was, obviously, rooting for Hairoll. Once the series ended in the Woopers' favor, I just felt a brief moment of shock... but the shock is temporary. As we went through the decaying mall in our town and eventually into the Barnes and Noble waiting 15 minutes for the Starbucks staff to make our drinks, I knew what had to be done. Nymbles never back down from a challenge. Nymbles always run up when necessary, so while we may not have won the main tour, we could still fight for honor! And so, we laid the groundwork for a third place series (that might still happen, if not then we'll take T-3 with the Bagons.) But even if we didn't win, we still did win. We had amazing vibes. 75% of us were debutants and made playoffs and CCC is all about the friends we make along the way, and we made a LOT of friends along the way.

Livid Washed: THE premier gen 1 player. We went into this draft thinking Livid would do the same thing they did last year: WIN! First on Ralts, and now on Nymbles. Livid WON! Livid doesn't have to prove anything, Livid just goes out and performs and was an integral part of our roster.

Gomdol2: Don't even THINK about looking at the 0-6 record and being like "GoM mUsT bE a BaD pLaYeR" because I wanna see anyone else try and fight a steel type every single week with no counterplay. Gom served vibes All Season Long and was never lacking team spirit.

Murm: I'm sure some people were surprised at us picking Murm r3, because... you know....
1000037633.jpg

I mean, Murm was ONLY the joint MVP for 1v1 bo7 AS A DEBUTANT so clearly we did something right. Who knew that someone who scouted CC matches like a true 1v1 main would be good at the format? And to think Steven didn't believe me WHEN I TOLD HIM PPL SCOUT IN CC!!

Hairoll: The CC tour veteran we needed, Hairoll was the perfect balance for us to craft our team during the draft, and we even might have prevented the Bagons from drafting him with the very next pick. Hairoll always delivered, made good plays, and kept our momentum going throughout the season. An icon. A legend. A goat.

AquaGuy2.0: Aqua stood out immediately due to a really good ladder performance and great tryouts. While Aqua didn't have the best start to the season, he had a stellar ending, pulling off two straight wins and giving us momentum and vibes. Aqua was a very underrated presence on our team who should never be underestimated.

BorschtBoy: Borscht was the first half of the brainrot Australian core. He didn't lose a single 1v1 set until semifinals, maintaining stellar vibes by joining the midnight (my time) yap sessions and having the funniest arguments with Sheepie. A true icon, Borscht wielded a dual-edged sword.

Sheepie: Sheepie wielded that same dual-edged sword, being the other half of the Australian brainrot duo. Sheepie excelled in doubles and was also the only player to best Michael all season (as he was previously the 7-0 MVP). While his 6-7 addiction was... interesting, Sheepie's knack for being the only other person to truly know music was refreshing as Sheepie was almost able to give me good competiton for any yapping award. We need more people like Sheepie and the rest of the Nymbles who will Bring That Energy!

Best Gal: Nat was a voice of reason within all the chaos. He quietly had a VERY solid 2v2 performance while also giving out vibes (a more relaxed vibe which balanced out our chaos really well). Nat was the true embodiment of an enlightened Nymble.

TheHorrorHare: Hare was a pick we stole from honorary Team Canada, just like I'm stealing their color right now. Hare adapted really well to the atmosphere, bringing the energy and being a wonderful teammate, having some clutch wins in the process.

Logice: Taking the suggestion Icy made in the public chatc we stumbled on a hidden gem; Logice turned in a stellar 2v2 season while also proving to be very knowledgeable about the format. While being a debutant, Logice proved that having previous experience is very helpful for CCC, and proved that Icy has good reads in the process.

Enstrom: Another ladder pick we stole from Team Canada, it just so turns out that by week 1, we possessed the top 2 players on the 1v1 ladder, Enstrom and Murm. Enstrom quietly delivered a great performance, while giving vibes and some cool Nymble images. A true icon.

HarryOtter69: Harry was an amazing vibes pick, having a good performance as well as being our only European... wait how the hell was Harry our only European??? Harry would join the midnight yap sessions and prove why he was a great pick in the first place. Always sociable and always having a positive mindsets, Harry won with grace and always cheered the Nymbles on; he's a true Nymble.

GoldenCyber: Another great pick, while Golden didn't play much, their vibes were wonderful. Golden was always at the ready for anything and was a secret weapon to fill out the amazing depth our team had. It's only a matter of time before they have their breakout year.

NDD To The Top: When we had an unfortunate incident, NDD was more than happy to fill in and step into a Nymbles uniform, ready for anything. Immaculate cooking skills and immaculate vibes, NDD, while only playing one series, showed massive potential and will definitely shock the world next year.

Finally, we have O1V7O2X9O, and yes I spelled this from memory. Steven was always an amazing manager; he posted the week announcements when I was asleep or forgot to do it, he brought out the best vibes of our team, and we maintained amazing chemistry throughout the season. He made sure we'd never get caught lacking with lineups and made some expert reads in draft that enabled us to get everyone we wanted. He even had a good performance this season. He's the embodiment of everything you want in a manager.

Okay one more thing before I conclude, I'm lowkey proud of myself for going 5-2 and being a bench week away from being a joint 2v2 MVP with Piyu. I had to run up with a bunch of 2v2 legends LIKE Piyu and LIKE Snorlax and Haunter and Jackofspades and etc and I pulled out 5 wins in this stacked pool. Okay enough self-glazing I'm almost done.

I want to thank the hosts Fran Pulse and Celly who I won't ping to be nice because they once again delivered an amazing CCC that operated smoothly and efficiently SO THEY DESERVE HELLA CREDIT BC THIS YEAR'S BEEN BUSY FOR RANDS!
I also want to thank Click>Think and Sapphire for being iconic and fueling our rivalry while also carrying the overall tour vibes. You all were amazing hosts as well and should be commended for your work with the Shroomish.
And of course, thank you Nymbles for being icons!! :Nymble:

So, that's it. Free Palestine/Congo/Sudan. Fuck ICE, and perhaps you'll see us again sooner than you think.... and maybe the Nymbles can run it back....
