Champions DOU ​

By popular demand and the recent release of Champions, we're starting a champions DOU format! Champions DOU will allow for only the use of Pokemon and items in Pokemon Champions, similar to the implementation of Champions OU. This format is unofficial and does not currently have an implementation on Pokemon Showdown, so we will be using the following challenge code for games:

Play Restrictions:

• Endless Battle Clause: Players cannot use any moveset on any Pokémon capable of intentionally causing an endless battle. Thus:
  • A Pokémon may not carry Recycle and hold a Leppa Berry in conjunction with Heal Pulse and Milk Drink, Moonlight, Morning Sun, Recover, Roost, Slack Off, Soft-Boiled, or Wish.
  • A Pokémon may not hold a Leppa Berry while carrying Recycle and Pain Split.
  • A Pokémon may not hold a Leppa Berry while carrying Recycle and Fling
• Evasion Moves Clause: Players cannot use the moves Double Team or Minimize.
• OHKO Clause: Players cannot use the moves Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill, or Sheer Cold.
• Species Clause: Players cannot have two Pokémon with the same Pokédex number on the same team.
• Gravity Sleep Clause: Sleep moves with below one hundred percent accuracy may not be used in conjunction with Gravity.

Maybe I'm missing something, but doesn't your challenge code remove the level limit, the item clause and the minimum team size enforced by Champions? You also mention the OHKO Clause but it is not in the challenge code.

Haven't played yet but some ban/suspect predictions

Basculegion Ban: Last Respects is dumb in VGC with 4 pokemon already and in dou it's just gonna be even more nuclear with 6 pokemon :sob:

Floette Suspect: I can see this being suspect tested but I feel like at it's a lot more manageable than it seems (tho DOU being 6v6 would allow for more support on it)

Espartha Suspect: may not be as bad as it was without grassy seed or terrains as SV, but it's basically still gonna be a cheese enabler for floette and charizard y

Gengar Mega Suspect: Perish Trap with gengar is very unhealthy and the teams using it often are very matchup-fishy which isn't very fun to fight, though it may be harder to pull off in DOU because Gengar is the only trapper, though DOU also banned Shadow Tag when it was just Gothitelle so who knows
