Aqua Jet offers much-needed priority to prevent Fire-types like Cinderace, Blaziken, and Volcarona from revenge killing it. Given that these Fire-types are threats regardless, Mega Golisopod prefers teammates like Rotom-Wash, Toxapex, and Garchomp to pressure them. Moreover, special attackers with Fire-type coverage like Mega Meganium and Clefable also warrant defensive pivots like Galarian Slowking and Rotom-Heat. Entry hazard removal from Hatterene, Corviknight, and Cinderace ensures Mega Golisopod stays healthy enough to set up Swords Dance.
