Tournament CHAMPL I - Commencement Thread

As the most notorious BSS larper I am here to let you know who you should try to pick up for BSS in ChampPL, how much support they might need and other things if I feel they're warrented/neat.

Moi - so like I think most people know that I am one of if not the best BSS players on the site and while I joke about it a lot I don't actually like to prop myself up all that much. I prefer to let my gameplay speak for itself and I will just say that my resume does indeed speak for itself. Anyway onto people not named Derpy since that's the important part.

yone - on a very short list of people who can consistently make me sweat, very skilled bss player and builder

The Squash - the squash (he is very good)

RoyalReloaded - extremely solid player, popped off in BSSCL last year and was runner-up in the 2025 BSSC Invitational in a set that came down to the wire. Will absolutely put in work.

sheepie - 6-0 in BSSPL this year and only dropped one set in BSSCL last year. Extremely promising player and is scarily good for how new they are to the format. Will absolutely put in work.

11oyd - weaponized TZ and can kinda play good

paysa - was my SV starter in BSSPL this year and managed to do extremely well. Was also runner-up in BSS Grand Prix just before BSSPL started. Requires some support but is well worth the price tag and support, he is extremely talented.

Solerme - some boomer who was apparently good in ye olden days, possibly competed with dinosaurs.

eldids - very solid player with great results since joining the scene, including a solo major win and finals appearance in BSSPL XI leading the Bug Bite Bullets.

Medeia - very consistent performer in BSS events. Runner-up in 2024 BSS Invitational.

Tempo di anguria - very solid player across various BSS events.

Fluore - solid BSS player across many generations, led Manaphy City to a BSSPL title a few years ago

BP - past BSSPL champion primarily playing ORAS BSS, which has a lot of overlap with Champions. May need minor support but is overall a great pick.

TTK - has played in multiple iterations of BSSPL and has put up solid results every time. Mostly self sufficient and worth a reasonable price tag.

seraphz - has made multiple solid showings across various BSS tours.

frostyicelad - BSS boomer, is apparently good

IcyPenguin2 - he's good

Fragments - frags good.

Lasen - good matchup fisher (he is actually quite good, he knows what I'm referring to here)

Nashrock - played for the top seeded team in BSSPL XI and put up very solid results. Not too sure if/how much support they would need but their play is very solid.

sky - played on my team for BSSCL in which we made it to finals and was a very consistent performer. May need support but will definitely be worth the buy

Cao Jie - solid player across many years

Sificon - hes alright ig

skype - relatively new to BSS and will likely need some support, but their passion and eagerness to learn will ensure you have a dedicated player trying their best at all times. Definitely worth picking up imo

purbaj - won BSSCL last year and has a lot of motivation and willingness to learn. Worth picking up for sure.

LogIce - won BSSPL with me this year, played SwSh and USM, managing to grab us a very important win in SwSh for semifinals. Will require support but is very good with said support.

HazelGrayble - new face to BSS but is very passionate and has great game sense. Was on my BSSPL winning team this year

hex - they showed some promise in BSSPL this year, picking up some pretty impressive wins. Def worth picking up

LpZ - have not seen much of them in champions but they were a fantastic player in SV BSS, so I would trust them to be solid here as well.

frogfacts - have seen them around on ladder (piloting one of my teams lol) and they have shown that they are picking up the tier well. Will likely require support but shows promise.

Kafkafka - managed the winning BSSCL team last year. I have not seen them play much but they have been very consistent with their teamtour runs.

PixelBob - was on the runner-up team for BSSPL this year, will need some support but has solid game sense and willingness to learn.

Please note that if someone isn't on this list that does not mean you should skip them. These are just people I know are motivated and have the skill to perform. I will not pretend to know literally every promising BSS player and you should definitely still take tryouts from people who's names don't show up here.
I have updated this with new signups. Hopefully I didn't miss anyone

I don't really have much to say here. One of my teams is on the samples, I can make it to 1600 with good teams without much issue. I'd like to be considered for any team wanting to pick me up for OU. Thanks!

I've seen others do the same so I'll throw my hat into the mix.

Been playing Champions OU since it came out, and I've been really enjoying the tier. I prefer to build/test my own teams, one of which allowed me to hit #1 on ladder (albeit briefly). I've had good success with some other teams getting me to 1600's as well.

I've never played in a big tournament like this before, just room tours, of which I've won a couple, mostly natdex. I'd really like to get some experience in a bigger format amongst good players. I'd appreciate anyone willing to consider me for their draft, thank you.
