Rejected Change Choice Band, Huge Power, Pure Power, Hustle description

I've seen many players get confused about the interactions between Choice Band, these abilities with Foul Play and Body Press. Therefore, much like how burn has now shown the physical moves BP cut in half, I believe changing these descriptions to read "Boosts the user's power of physical moves by 1.5/2 times" is a better fit.

That would be a false description. All four of Choice Band / Huge Power / Pure Power / Hustle are Attack modifiers and really boost the user's attack (and as a result will increase the damage of Foul Play / Body Press once those moves replace the starting value for the user's Attack with the opponent's Attack / user's Defense).

The reason burn is represented on Showdown as a BP halving is because burn is a damage modifier and not an attack modifier. There's not really a great way of representing "the damage of this is halved" when the only values that you can show are halved in PS's interface are Attack and BP. So while it's also wrong, it was determined to be less confusing than halving attack.

I don't think Attack modifiers should be represented as BP modifiers at all; it's simply inaccurate to do so.

They boost your own Foul Plays and Body Presses, but those don't run off your Attack, so I don't see how the rest of this sentence results in them getting boosted. Likewise, they won't increase the damage of incoming Foul Plays.

But they do run off of your Attack. All Foul Play and Body Press do is replace the Attack stat of the user with the value of the target's Attack / value of the user's Defense. To give an example, suppose you use Foul Play with a user that has 100 Attack, target has 200 Attack. For the purposes of that damage calculation, the user really does have 200 Attack, and that 200 Attack is then used when considering things like Huge Power, Choice Band, Blaze, etc. So a Huge Power Foul Play with the target having 200 Attack will result in an effective 400 Attack stat when calculating damage.
