Cherry Redux

At a glance:

Metagross (lead)
Lucario
Gliscor
Gyarados
Gengar
Vaporeon

Metagross:
Lead, Lum berry, Adamant
Stealth rock
Explosion
Meteor Mash
Bullet punch

252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd

Stealth rock setter. I switched his Occa berry to Lum berry to better handle leads like Machamp and annoyances like Breloom. The problem is now he cant stay in on things like Azelf, fearing the flame thrower and such. I find that I actually set up rocks and immediately switch him out, fearing something retaliating me, its got me in the mindset that hes alot more frail than before, Ill have to figure out how to better utilize him and just get a little less defensive. I switched meteor mash instead of EQ, I have enough users of quake and mash has come in handy a few times, but again I often find myself wishing I had Eq every now and then

Lucario:
Phys attacker, Choice Scarf, Inner focus, Jolly
Close combat
Extreme speed
Crunch
Ice punch

252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

My adorable Luke. I havent switched anything on him, he's worked out really well for me, a powerhouse but really REALLY frail. I just love how cute he is

Gliscor
Phys wall, Leftovers, Hyper cutter, Jolly
Taunt
U-Turn
Roost
Earthquake

252 HP / 252 Spe / 4 def

Gliscor is my cutest poke, yes, I said hes cute because he friggin is. I love the little guy. Anyways, He comes in pretty handy, he's got a nice physical bulk, but I dont find him taking TOO many hits too well, since im not using any EVs specifically on Defense except that odd one out. Hes got a pretty good attack, and his taunt comes in really useful.

Gyarados
Offensive phys attacker, Lefties, Intimidate, Jolly
Earthquake
Dragon dance
Waterfall
Stone Edge

252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Sp

Nothings changed on my Gyara, If I can get a DD up, he's a tough one to handle. If I can get 2 up, then hes set to sweet, especially mid or late game. Early on I find that his intimidate is useful for causing a switch or just annoying something by coming in on the predicted earthquake and lowering its attack

Vaporeon
Defensive staller, Leftovers, calm
Wish
Protect
Surf
Roar

188 HP / 252 SP.Def / 68 Spe

I swapped out toxic on my Vappy for Roar. I needed something to get rid of people setting up on me. I've been in situations where an endless baton pass chain turned out to be unstoppable, and a single roar would have ended it all. Though it makes me wonder if Swampert might not be better for this spot, since I cant stall anyone out anymore, without a status effect.

Gengar
Special sweeper, Leftovers, Timid
Shadow ball
Substitute
HP fire
Focus blast

4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

I IVd in Hp fire, and love it. I can come in on alot of things and take them out with a nice HP fire, namely a forretress whos trying to rapid spin. I swapped out life orb for leftovers, I havent tried this out much yet, but I was finding myself doing more harm than good with BOTH sub and life orb. Maybe lefties will make me keep my gengar a little longer, hopefully the damage loss wont be too great.

So, rate me, help me figure something out, I've been having a pretty good time with this team but theres alot I still dont know, so any input would be great. I find that without toxic on my vappy, Im pretty water weak. there was a milotic that was really defensive and carried moonlight, I couldnt do a THING to it, without sacrificing a poke just to wear it down, so any tips are welcome

First, pictures are always helpful in an RMT.
Ok, now on to the actual rate. You should never run 2 Pokemon of the same type on a team unless you have a very good reason, and you don't. So, first; your weaknesses. You are weak to Mixape and Suicune. Mixape can burn through your entire team except Gliscor, which it can OHKO with HP Ice if it has, or it can just straight overpower it with one Nasty Plot. Suicune cannot really go through your team like that, but nobody on your team really packs the firepower to KO it.
To that end, I am going to have to make 2 changes to this team. First, replace Gengar with LO Rotom-H. This kills suicune no problem, and can also kill any annoying Shaymin, Jirachi, Breloom, etc. that come your way. Like Gengar, it is immune to the majority of what a Mixape can throw at you and is a great spinblocker. The set I suggest can also cripple physical sweepers with Will-O-Wisp.

Rotom-H @ Life Orb
Timid Nature
EVs: 252 SAtk/252 Spd/4 Def
-Thunderbolt
-Overheat
-Shadow Ball
-Will-O-Wisp

Second, replace Vaporeon with Shaymin. This can provide another check to opposing bulky waters, frighten special walls with SDef drops, and defeat Heatran on occasion too.

Shaymin @ Leftovers
Timid Nature
EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spd
-Seed Flare
-Earth Power
-Hidden Power Ice
-Leech Seed

Guess that's it. Hope this helps and good luck!

Rotom-h is the heat type eh? I see alot of people running the water type. is there any particular reason to choose the heat over the others?

Well, heat helps enormously against steels and by extension stall. Water is good for fires and Tyranitar, but you've got those covered. It depends on what your threats are.

its come to my attention that Rotom forms are tough to use in wi-fi play.

Is there another suggestion as to what to put in his place, or is it a simple act of using an AR code. People online dont get too ticked at the use of Rotom forms do they?

its a fairly powerful attack, and there ARE things that can outspeed a choice scarf luke. but I suppose maybe something would be better served in that slot...

was it Thunderpunch?
