At some point in my life, I plan on having one or two children. Basically, I would like to be able to influence someone else's life and kids are probably a lot of fun, but more than two would probably be too much of a handful.

My exact thoughts on it. I want to see my kids enjoy things that I enjoyed as a child and watch as I help them along in life. I'm going to wait until I'm ready though, kids are probably 10-15 years down the road (I'm 17 now). Man, that seems too soon.

What are you talking about? What do you mean "must" do it? Does this mean that gay people can't have a full life because they can't reproduce with their partners? Does this mean that people who can't have children for other reasons (sterility) can't have a full life either?

You could use a few waves of that pretentious bullshit-removing magic wand yourself.
 
I have a boy, he'll be 5 months next week, and I'm only 18. That being said my life has not turned into some after school special and in fact I was going away to college until money became an issue. But yeah over-all having him is probably the greastest thing I've done in my life and now at least when hes 18 I'll only be 36 and I'll still win the occasional wrestling match.
 
I definitely want children in the future, with the right girl and of course after several things are stable and on place.
 
I plan to have one kid and then another 8-10 years later or something. Of course, being 16, that's a ways off. This might seem weird, but the main reason I don't want to have 4 kids or whatever: I never want to own a van in my life.

Also, I'm 10 years older than my only brother, and it's pretty nice to have a little brother, and my parents say that it's pretty helpful to have me around to babysit and whatever.

The alternate plan: have as many kids as possible within 4 years of each other and hope they're all the same sex so they can dominate cross country.
 
I'm 19 but I'm just a kid, I'll think about this if I'm ever in a situation where it's plausible.
 
I'm 18 and i plan on having 2-3 kids. I would like a boy and a girl. But not anytime soon because I'm so young. When i see kids my age pregnant or with children, I can not even begin to see myself in their situation. So yeah. I'm having kids a loooong time from now.
 
I'm only 19 now, so right now... no kids. But in the future, absolutely. Being a father will make me feel important on this world to at least two people (wife and kid) whereas, if I didn't have any children, I would not feel quite as important.

My dream would be to have kids at age 27, 28, 29, 40, and 41. That way I could raise three children up until they are about ready for middle school, and then I could do the whole thing all over again. I doubt my future wife would jump on board for such a plan. lol

Anyone who thinks kids are "black holes for money", congrats, you are a very shallow person and good luck finding somebody EXACTLY like you to marry; otherwise, you probably won't be getting married.
