  • Dragonite is one of the best physical attackers in the tier, due to its excellent attack, and access to Inner Focus, that blocks intimidate and potential flinch, from Fake Out especially.
  • Dragonite runs Extreme Speed, can attack in priority and with Choice Band can damage faster pokemon like Chien Pao, Ogerpon, Landorus-i, Tornadus, keeping continue pressure.
  • Depending on team choice, Dragon Claw and Outrage are the common stab, the first more conservative, the second more oppressive, but without choosing target and forcing dragonite on the field until confusion.
  • Iron Head is really important to OHKO unboosted Diancie, and to ruin possible Tera Fairy Pokemon like Raging Bolt and Gholdengo.
  • Stomping Tantrum offers coverage allows Dragonite to hit defensive Pokemon like Iron Hands and Incineroar as well as Steel-Types like Gholdengo, Kingambit and Heatran.
  • Fire Punch is a solid alternative that hits better Pokemon like Sinistcha and Bronzong.
  • Dragonite usually wants Tera Normal, as it gains STAB on Extreme Speed while gains a decent defensive typing.
  • Dragonite's best partner is Chien Pao, as Chien Pao's Sword Of Ruin allows Dragonite to secure OHKO on: no bulk Landorus, Tornadus, Ogerpon-W and Ogerpon-H. Chien Pao also can remove Psychic Terrain with its Ice Spinner and can threaten Pokemon like Farigiraf, Indeedee-F both of wich that would block Extreme Speed.
  • Dragonite appreciates also hazard setters, like Glimmora and Ting Lu, because they can chip opposing Pokemon into range of Extreme Speed.

  • Dragonite is on one of the best phisical physical attackers in the tier, thanks to high base stat due to its excellent attack, and access to Inner Focus ability, that blocks intimidate and potential flinch, from Fake Out especially. (You don't need to explain what Inner Focus does, it's more relevant to say something like "it blocks Intimidate and Fake Out from *insert relevant Pokemon here*")
  • Dragonite runs Extreme Speed, can attack in priority and with Choice Band can damage faster pokemon like Chien Pao, Ogerpon, Landorus-i, Tornadus, keeping continue pressure. (This entire bullet point is phrased very awkwardly, something you could try is "Dragonite is able to utilize Choice Band in conjunction with Extreme Speed to deal significant damage to faster Pokemon like...")
  • Depending on team choice, Dragon Claw and Outrage are the common stab, the first more conservative, the second more oppressive, but without choosing target and forcing dragonite on the field until confusion. (This is a little awkward and vague, you only really describe what the two moves do and not why you would run one over the other, i.e specifc damage calcs vs consistent attack, rework this a bit to include that)
  • Iron Head is really important to delete OHKO unboosted Diancie, if not boosted in defense, and to ruin possible fairy tera Tera Fairy Pokemons like Raging Bolt, and Gholdengo.
  • Stomping Tantrum offers coverage allows Dragonite to hitting hit defensive Pokemon like Iron Hands and Incineroar as well as Steel-Types like Gholdengo, Kingambit, and fire types like Incineroar, Heatran.
  • Fire Punch is a solid variant alternative that touches hits better Pokemons like Sinistcha, and Bronzong. (explain why it's relevant to hit Sinistcha and Bronzong)
  • Dragonite usually wants normal tera Tera Normal, with a boosted as it gains STAB on Extreme Speed can be overwhelming while gaining a decent defensive typing. (be sure to address why normal is a good defensive typing on dragonite)
  • Dragonite's best partner is Chien Pao, because they have a fantastic sinergy. as Chien pao's Sword Of Ruin supports allows Dragonite to take secure some kos OHKOs on: Extreme Speed with tera normal kills no-bulk Landorus, Tornadus, Ogerpon-W Wellspring, and Ogerpon-H Hearthflame, with no hp investments. Chien-Pao also can remove Psychic Terrain with its Ice Spinner psychic terrain and can threaten with Throat Choap Pokemon like Farigiraf and Indeedee-F, both things that would of which block Extreme Speed.
  • Dragonite appreciates also hazards setters, like Glimmora and Ting-Lu, because they can put chip opposing Pokemon into range of Extreme Speed. or other Dragonite attacks opposing pokemon. (Include a few examples of Pokemon that get KO'd after hazards, feel free to re-insert examples with other Dnite attacks but be sure to differentiate which attack OHKOs what.)

  • Probably could use a sizable bullet point at the end going over common weaknesses of Dragonite (like the downsides of being Choice locked)
  • I would also like to see some discussion of how Dragonite often prefers to lock into Espeed, so the coverage moves attempt to be options that cover situations where Espeed can’t be clicked, as well as that opposing options that are immune to Espeed like Ghold or random tera ghost mons can be a major inconvenience
  • While the current list of partners listed are all good, could use a few more examples of Pokemon common on Pao teams (Lando/something for steels, other physical attackers like the Ogerpon forms)
  • Pao is real integral to choice band Dnite (really Dnite in general) that I think this point should be emphasized more- you don’t really see Dragonite without Pao
  • Maybe some further elaboration on Outrage vs Dragon Claw could be done as well, citing specific situations where Outrage would be more useful
Overall good discussion, I mainly just think a fair amount of elaboration of partners/counters towards the end of the analysis would go a long way.
