Icicle Crash allows Galarian Darmanitan to take care of Dragon- and Flying-type Pokemon such as Goodra and Mandibuzz. Flare Blitz makes Galarian Darmanitan able to take on Ferrothorn and Corviknight, alongside Aegislash, most of the time. Superpower is used to OHKO non-Chople Berry variants of Incineroar, Tyranitar and Snorlax as well as Steel-types like Choice Specs Duraludon. Giga Impact can be used as a powerful neutral move to beat Sylveon, Dracovish, Gastrodon, and Grimmsnarl. Alternatively, Iron Head can be used to OHKO Aromatisse, while Earthquake is an option to take care of Aegislash more reliably. Lastly, Stone Edge can be used over Earthquake to be able to OHKO stall Rotom-H. An alternative spread of 48 HP / 16 Atk / 244 Def / 200 Spe with a Jolly nature lets you tank a Choice Scarf Iron Head from Excadrill, while outspeeding nonscarf variants.

In return, Galarian Darmanitan can take on certain stall threats like Type: Null and Snorlax for them. Galarian Darmanitan also needs partners like Galarian Corsola and Conkeldurr that can take on Crustle and Sawk. In return, Galarian Darmanitan beats Pokemon such as Togekiss and Whimsicott.

Earthquake can be used to be able to take care of Aegislash and Choice Specs Duraludon. Stone Edge can be used over Earthquake to be able to OHKO Rotom-H, but can no longer take care of non-bulky Aegislash and Duraludon. Running maxium speed EVs makes Galarian Darmanitan able to outpace Choice Specs Duraludon and Choice Specs Rotom-H. fluff, also add something about giga impact as it’s Darmanitan’s strongest neutral coverage move.
