Set Details
===================
Chuggalong is a feast or famine Clangorous Soul sweeper that utilizes its raw power after a boost and immunity to priority to devastating effect. Throat Spray in conjunction with Clangorous Soul affords Chuggalong massive sweeping potential, bowling through unprepared teams at +2 off of its base 120 Special Attack. Clanging Scales is Chuggalong's strongest STAB move and is its main wallbreaking tool. Clanging Scales also comes with the added benefit of activating Throat Spray, allowing Chuggalong to get to +1 Special Attack in situations where using Clangorous Soul would be disadvantageous. Sludge Bomb hits Fairy-types like Clefable especially hard and punishes common Tera Fairy Pokemon such as Arghonaut and Moltres. Surf is Chuggalong's best coverage option, hitting specially defensive Ground-types like Equilibra and Ting-Lu super effectively. Stored Power is an enticing option that can be used over Clanging Scales or Sludge Bomb for a 140 BP nuke once Chuggalong has used Clangorous Soul. Tera Water is the preferred Tera for non-Stored Power sets in order to boost Surf's power; Tera Psychic is preferred on Stored Power sets for much the same reason.

Chuggalong is primarily used on hyper offense teams that need a devastating sweeper. Chuggalong is often kept in the back on these teams, as the way it uses Clangorous Soul often only gives it one opportunity to sweep. Screens support from Deoxys-S or Alolan Ninetales is extremely helpful in affording Chuggalong the chance to set up. Alternatively, dedicated leads such as Hisuian Samurott and Landorus-T can weaken opposing Pokemon with entry hazards, making Chuggalong's sweep easier to achieve. Entry hazard denial from Taunt users like Deoxys-S or from Hatterene's Magic Bounce is key to ensuring Chuggalong has enough HP to successfully use Clangorous Soul. Chuggalong excels at forcing damage onto specially bulky walls like Ting-Lu and Equilibra, so Pokemon that can take advantage of that such as Iron Moth and Ramnarok make for good partners. Other sweepers that can weaken the opposing team like Ceruledge, Caribolt, and Stratagem are also valuable teammates that either take advantage of the pressure Chuggalong exerts on defensive cores or can enable Chuggalong to sweep by forcing damage onto key Pokemon like Arghonaut and Equilibra. Cawmodore is another sweeper that can take advantage of the Pokemon Chuggalong often forces in, namely Galarian Slowking and Equilibra.

Other Options
===================
Substitute can be used instead of a third attacking move alongside Leftovers to punish more passive teams, take advantage of Thunder Wave users like Cresceidon, and avoid Arghonaut's Circle Throw. Destiny Bond can be used over an attacking move to take down a revenge killer that Chuggalong cannot OHKO like Ting-Lu or Equilibra.

Checks and Counters
===================
**Specially Bulky Pokemon**: Specially bulky Pokemon like Assault Vest Alomomola, Ting-Lu, and Equilibra can withstand one of Chuggalong's boosted attacks and revenge kill it. Ting-Lu and Equilibra do need to be wary of Tera Water Surf if they take too much chip damage, and the same goes for Alomomola and Tera Psychic Stored Power.

**Tera Dark Arghonaut**: Arghonaut has the bulk to withstand any of Chuggalong's attacks barring Stored Power due to Unaware. Tera Dark lets Arghonaut fully wall Chuggalong and phase it with Circle Throw.

**Kingambit**: With some bulk investment and enough allies fainted, Kingambit can tank a +2 Tera Water Surf from Chuggalong and KO it with Kowtow Cleave.

**Paralysis**: Paralysis from specially bulky Thunder Wave users like Cresceidon and Galarian Slowking can put a stop to Chuggalong's sweep attempt at the cost of losing a Pokemon.

**Entry Hazards**: Stealth Rock and Spikes from Pokemon like Gliscor and Ting-Lu make it much more difficult for Chuggalong to use Clangorous Soul. Even if it does get to use the move, the added chip from entry hazards makes Chuggalong much easier to revenge kill with a faster Pokemon like Iron Moth or Iron Valiant.
