Moves
========

Substitute helps Clawitzer stall opposing Pokemon with Toxic and avoid getting revenge killed and statused by common Pokemon such as Passimian and Vaporeon. Toxic helps chip down opposing Pokemon such as Mega Audino, Hariyama, and Vaporeon and pairs well with Substitute. Water Pulse is Clawitzer's STAB move and allows it to quickly break down opposing Pokemon while stalled them down via Toxic. Lastly, Dark Pulse hits one of the most common Pokemon in the tier, Slowbro, hard. It also does extra damage to Slowking and Vaporeon. Ice Beam is an alternative to Dark Pulse to hit Pokemon such as Torterra, Vileplume, and Whimsicott super effectively at the cost of missing out on extra damage on the aforementioned targets.

Set Details
========

84 HP EVs gives Clawitzer a HP stat divisible by 16, optimizing the recovery provided by Leftovers. 184 Speed EVs let Clawitzer outspeed various threatening Toxic users such as Vaporeon and Blastoise, giving it a chance to use Substitute effectively. The Speed investment also allows Clawitzer to outspeed Modest maximum Speed Diancie. The remaining 240 EVs are put into Special Attack along with a Modest nature to make Clawitzer stronger. Mega Launcher boosts Water Pulse's and Dark Pulse's damage.

Usage Tips
========

Use Substitute versus passive Pokemon like Vaporeon and Xatu, as they are the easiest to get a Substitute off on. Additionally, try to keep entry hazards off the field because chipping Clawitzer can prevent it from using Substitute at some point. Additionally, Clawitzer lacks reliable recovery outside of Leftovers, so try not to let it get hit by Knock Off. Be wary of clicking Toxic versus teams with Xatu and Steel-types like Silvally-Steel, as Xatu can easily bounce back Toxic using Magic Bounce, while Steel-types are immune to Toxic. However, you can ease up on this if Clawitzer is behind a Substitute. Keep in mind that you should be clicking Toxic versus bulkier Pokemon that Clawitzer doesn't do as much damage to, such as Cryogonal or Audino. Lastly, try to make use of pivoting moves such as Parting Shot, U-turn, and Volt Switch to help get in Clawitzer safely.

Team Options
========

Checks to Electric-types such as Decidueye and to Ground-types such as Sceptile are pivotal for Clawitzer, as Electric-types heavily threaten Clawitzer if it is not behind a Substitute. Heliolisk especially is problematic, as it can damage Clawitzer with Hyper Voice even if it is behind a Substitute. Grass-type checks such as Incineroar and Braviary benefit Clawitzer, as it cannot easily deal with the likes of Decidueye and Vileplume without Ice Beam or Substitute. Entry hazard control from Pokemon such as Xatu and Cryogonal is also helpful for Clawitzer, as repeated chip damage will easily prevent Clawitzer from doing its job. Pokemon such as Incineroar and non-Grassium Z Delphox that aren't the biggest fans of bulky Water-types appreciate Clawitzer's support, as it deals with such Pokemon easily. Spikes setters like Ferroseed and Garbodor are also great partners for Clawitzer, as Spikes ease the process of Toxic stalling for Clawitzer quite a bit. Finally, pivot support from Pokemon such as Heliolisk, Iapapa Berry Incineroar, Passimian, and Silvally-Steel is useful for Clawitzer, as they are able to bring it in safely.

personally would just throw the extra 4 EVs into speed, but that's not a big deal so w/e

in terms of raw information/content, it seems to be pretty good.

  • If there is a Steel-type on the opposing team, it may be wise to refrain from clicking Toxic. Instead, try damaging said Steel-type with Water Pulse.
Perhaps mention that if you're not behind a Substitute, you should also be hesitant to click Toxic vs Xatu if your Leftovers are already revealed as the set is gaining popularity and players may be aware of this and make a pivot on a predicted Toxic, figuring worst case scenario is they pivot on a Substitute and just go out to their normal check afterwards.

  • Checks to Electric-types such as Decidueye and Palossanad are pivot for Clawitzer, as they heavily threaten Clawitzer if not behind a Substitute, especially the likes of Heliolisk.
Instead of just Palossand, try mentioning Ground types in general, especially those that check Heliolisk (Hyper Voice goes through Substitute, so this is worth noting). Regardless of that minor note on Heliolisk, you have to have a Volt Switch check on most balance teams with this set, I'd say, and Ground types are essentially that, of course.

rest seems ok, good work

Moves
========
  • Substitute is the first move on this set as it helps Clawitzer toxic stall opposing Pokemon.
  • Next is Toxic, as it helps chip down Pokemon on the opposing team, and pairs well with Substitute.
  • The third move of the set is Water Pulse, the main STAB move of team. This allows Clawitzer to quickly break down Pokemon while being stalled out by Toxic.
  • Dark Pulse can be used in the last moveslot to hit some of Clawitzer's immediate counters such as Decidueye and Dhelmise.
  • Instead, Ice Beam can be used to do extra damage to Druddigon, Guzzlord, and Vileplume.
  • The reason you would use Dark Pulse to hit Pokemon like Dhelmise instead of Ice Beam is that Dark Pulse is boosted by Clawitzer's Mega Launcher, and actually has a chance to OHKO Decidueye from full, whereas Ice Beam does not. The same can be said about Dhelmise. can probs just condense this point with the previous

Set Details
========
  • First, 240 Special Attack along with a Modest nature is used to make Clawitzer as powerful as possible.
  • However, 16 EVs had to be taken out in order to reach 84 HP, which gives Clawitzer better Leftovers recovery. this line is confusing; just specify how the current hp number optimizes Leftovers recovery imo
  • 184 Speed EVs let Clawitzer outspeed other various threatening Toxic users such as Vaporeon and Blastoise, giving Clawitzer to set up its Substitute effectively. It also outspeeds Modest max Speed Diancie.
  • Mega Launcher is the ability of choice, and while it is the only option, it helps boost moves Water Pulse and Dark Pulse so Clawitzer does more damage.

Usage Tips
========
  • Try not to take a big hit with Clawitzer, as getting up a Substitute is pivotal for its success. Instead, click Substitute on switches that you force, versus Pokemon like Steelix and Rhydon, which take heavy damage from Water Pulse.
  • Make sure there are no Heal Bell and Aromatherapy Pokemon to deal with, as they are pivotal solutions for toxic for the opponent.
  • If there is a Steel-type on the opposing team, it may be wise to refrain from clicking Toxic. Instead, try damaging said Steel-type with Water Pulse.
  • Also, refrain from clicking Toxic if there is a Xatu on the team, as there is a possibility that Toxic will be bounced back at you. Instead, wait until Clawitzer is behind a Substitute, so that Clawitzer is immune to the Toxic.
  • Try to keep entry hazards off the field, because chipping Clawitzer can prevent it from clicking Substitute at some point. this issue is also compounded by clawitzer lacking recovery outside of lefties making it fairly easy to whittle down

Team Options
========
  • Checks to Electric-types such as Decidueye and Ground-types are pivotal for Clawitzer, as they heavily threaten it if not behind a Substitute, especially the likes of Heliolisk, which can even damage it with Hyper Voice, even behind a Substitute.

The same can be said about Dhelmise.
  • Instead, Ice Beam can be used to do extra damage to Druddigon, Guzzlord, and Vileplume.
- Specify that Substitute protects Clawitzer from being revenge killed and being statused.
- List notable Toxic targets, such as Vaporeon, Hariyama, Mega Audino, etc.
- Bro just mention that Dark Pulse has powerful neutral coverage, smacks Slowbro, and can KO Decidueye and Dhelmise; way too much fluff here.
- List Whimsicott and Torterra as additional Ice Beam targets, and note that it still retains coverage against Decidueye and Dhelmise. Honestly with all the mons Ice beam hits, I'm quite inclined to have Ice Beam slashed before Dark Pulse.

  • First, 240 Special Attack along with a Modest nature is used to make Clawitzer as powerful as possible, with some EVs taken out for Speed.
  • 84 Speed EVs allows it to get as much recovery from Leftovers as it can, as a 304 HP stat is divisible by 16.
- Since the SpA EVs are the "filler" EVs, list out what the important EVs are by order so you don't have to justify the later EVs.
- It's 84 HP EVs btw, not Speed.
- You don't need to point out it's the ability of "choice"; just specify what it does.

Usage Tips
========

  • Try to keep entry hazards off the field, because chipping Clawitzer can prevent it from clicking Substitute at some point.
  • This is mainly because Clawitzer lacks reliable recovery outside of Leftovers, so try not to let it get Knock Off'd.
- Wait, isn't one of this set's big advantages is that it directly lures out and pressures the Heal Bell/Aromatherapy mons, since they're usually the only mons able to comfortably take hits from Clawitzer? Also, literally only two Steel-types can afford to switch in on Clawitzer (discounting Specs Clawitzer), and one of them (Ferroseed) loses to Substitute + Dark Pulse for the most part. Honestly I'd just remove these two points; Clawitzer should only really be aiming to Toxic if it struggles to break something on the opponent's team.
- Since Xatu rarely wants to ever switch into Clawitzer, just mention that the user should be a bit more wary instead of outright refraining from it, especially if the opponent has a better Clawitzer response.
- You can probably condense those points about hazards and Knock Off by emphasizing SubToxic Clawitzer's dependence on longevity. I mean honestly, Clawitzer is probably less concerned about entry hazards than safely entering battle in the first place; you could make a note on VoltTurn support or plain ol' double switching, so add these points.

dark pulse should be the first slash (after discussing w qc), and the reasoning for using it is nailing the biggest mon in the tier aka slowbro and others like slowking and vaporeon apart from toxic, not cos u wana hit decid harder lol

"Be wary of clicking Toxic versus teams with Xatu, as Xatu can easily bounce back Toxic using Magic Bounce. However, you can ease up on this if you have a Substitute up."

this is a really weird 1st line for usage tips, since realistically you're never clicking tox when dont u have a sub, it's a fine tip but put it down later and just emphasis the fact that you shouldn't click toxic against foes that are harmed more by attacks etc since really not a lot come in on this and the stuff that does u get a sub on

the first usage tip should be set up subs vs passive mons like vapo, non av slowbros, steelvally, xatu etc so u avoid getting status

"84 Speed EVs allows it to get as much recovery from Leftovers as it can, as a 304 HP stat is divisible by 16.
184 Speed EVs let Clawitzer outspeed other various threatening Toxic users such as Vaporeon and Blastoise, giving Clawitzer to set up its Substitute effectively. It also outspeeds Modest max Speed Diancie." change this to hp

"Pivot move users such as Heliolisk, Passimian, and Silvally-Steel are good partners for it as they are able to get in Clawitzer safely with their pivot moves." VolTurn > pivot move users, also mention berry roar since that can bring in claw vs sutff like vapo and rhydon

3/3 after this, i imagine writing up won't involve much changing so go ahead, i had this written up before rabia posted as well

Rabia this is a decent check, i liked a lot of your changes but you tend to make a ton of subjective changes that don't really benefit the analysis one way or another. good example is setters -> users, there were a lot of other such changes. getting rid of fluff is good, so that was good to see, just don't take it overboard. not sure what your issue is with transitional sentence starters like "furthermore" and "additionally", because they were fine as is.
sorry yoshizilla if the colours are too hard to sort through, try using the reply method to implement this and it should be fine

edit: after reading through some of the QC just then, there were a few issues with implementation of qc. change the decidueye and dhelmise examples in the dark pulse line to slowking and vaporeon.
add iapapa berry incineroar to the last line, you didnt implement that from stan's check

84 HP EVs gives Clawitzer a HP stat divisible by 16, optimizing the recovery provided by Leftovers.(space) (yea i guess it's technically valid here) 184 Speed EVs let Clawitzer outspeed other various threatening Toxic users such as Vaporeon and Blastoise, giving Clawitzer it a chance to use Substitute effectively. The Speed investment also allows Clawitzer to outspeed Modest maximum Speed Diancie. The remaining 240 EVs are put into Special Attack along with a Modest nature to make Clawitzer stronger. Also, be sure to keep in mind that you should be using an attacking move versus Pokemon that will take more from them than Toxic.(talked with Blast about this line: this could use some clarification. Yeah there are Pokemon you'd rather poison than attack and vice versa, but this line doesn't currently accurately convey that.) (also, give some examples because this is very vague) (yes do this please) Lastly, try and to make use of pivoting moves such as Parting Shot, U-turn, and Volt Switch to help get in Clawitzer safely.

Grass-type checks such as Incineroar and Braviary benefit Clawitzer, as it cannot easily deal with Grass-types like the likes of Decidueye and Vileplume without Ice Beam or Substitute. Entry hazard control from Pokemon such as Xatu and Cryogonal are also good partners is also helpful for Clawitzer, as repeated chip damage from entry hazards will easily prevent Clawitzer from doing its job. Finally, pivot move user support from Pokemon such as Heliolisk, Iapapa Berry Incineroar, Passimian, and Silvally-Steel is useful for Clawitzer, as they are able to bring it in safely with their pivot moves.
