[Overview]

  • One of the best Leds in 4th Gen back for another round in the new UU
  • Ground / Psychic typing giving it weaknesses to common attacking types like Grass, Water and Dark
  • Resistance to Stealth Rock and immunity to Spikes and Toxic Spikes due to Levitate.
  • Access to a range of support moves like Stealth Rock, Rapid Spin, Dual Screens and Trick Room.
  • Solid defensive stats of 60/105/120
  • Poor offensive stats of 70
  • Outclassed by other spinners that are more powerful like Blastoise or the Hitmons.

  • Effective user of Stealth Rock and Rapid Spin

The first thing you have to mention in the overview is that while it can spin, its offenses are awful in comaprison to the other spinners. Blastoise gets Hydro Pump/Scald, Hitmons get CC/HJK, and Donpan gets EQ off of base 120 attack. The best this gets is EQ off of 70 base attack.

WTF is explosion doing on a poke with 70 base offenses and no attack?

Trick Room on Claydol seems like a bad idea since it has very little offensive presence.
