Clefables Brothers

Well hello and welcome to Clefable's Brothers after playing in Ou I decided to take a delve into the world of UU battling and truly it is a very nice metagame but one Pokémon seemed to ruin my teams every time and that would be Mismagius. So after working out I cannot use mismagus myself, I decided to modify my team to ruin Mismagius in every way. Ironically a team that is built to kill one Pokémon is actually fairly successful in the UU tier on Pokémon online, so onto the team. Filled with some strange sets and pokemon the team has very few weaknesses other than Very heavy Stall and certain hyper offensive teams. The team works by using Clefable and Uxie early to shut down certain opponents, Then using my two Choice users to net some very fast kills. Then using Aggron and Torterria as my Late game sweepers.

The Team as it currently stands is,

Little Bro (Uxie) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 168 Hp / 252 SAtk / 88 SDef
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic
- Thunderbolt
- Psychic

Role Summary Uxie acts as both a Sr and an Anti lead in a way, after trying many different kinds of Uxie leads I settled on this one as it offers me Sr whilst, still having the bulk to attack other leads. It allso acts as an effective switch in during late game if it survives, finally it acts as a rather successful anti Staller as it can phase pokemon with toxic then swap to clefable or just flinch hax to victory.

Moveset Stealth rock is there for the basic entry hazards which whilst not vital to the team always helps, it also gets rid of pesky Shedninja's. Toxic is there mainly as the surprise and Anti stall move which many pokemon don't expect. It allso means uxie can force switch when needed. Thunderbolt is there to get rid of Bulky waters although its rather ineffective mainly used to scare away Blastose who try and rapid spin the rocks. Zen headbutt Is Main there because it can flinch the opponent rather than Physic which hits higher.

Evs, Nature & Item The speed is there mainly to out speed Opposing leads in UU though it still loses to such pokemon as Apibom The Spa is basically for Thunderbolt so i can take blastose out asap so the Sr stays up the whole game and SpD is there for Surviving none Super effective moves which just increases uxies already very powerful Defence.
Leftovers-Nothing surprising here just helps with the Walling
Modest- Mainly to increase the power of Thunderbolt.

Ambipom Just destroys this lead with taunt and payback if it has low kick only Azumaril is a safe switch

Vs Opposing leads
Really here im only going to put leads that cause certain problems

Uxie- Allways gets Sr up vs me
Ambipom Ruins uxie and can ko 3 pokemon on my team
Venasaur - eat the sleep swap to arcanine
Hariyama - sr, zen headbutt

Pink Baby (Clefable) (F) @ Flame Orb
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Wish
- Encore
- Shadow Ball
- Thunder Wave

Role Summary Well i cannot use blissey in UU so the fat whores little sister will have to do Acting as support for the whole team Clefable was made as a counter for lots of pokemon and then Utility means even when mismagus is dead it still has a good spot in the team. Its got great synergy with uxie with uxie walling the Fighting moves and clefable walling the dark/ghost/bug (acts as a great shed ninja counter). Allso it acts as a destroyer to most rain dance teams as the combination of Encore and T-Wave ruins sweepers such as kabutos and Lucidoco

Moveset Ok so what the hell is with this moveset? Well Thunderwave is perfect for this team as due to to rock polishers later in the game thunder wave gives them that extra speed they need. Shadow ball as explained before is for destroying all ghost pokemon. Encore forces a switch and is very effective in ruining pokemon such as DD feraligator and Kabutos Finally wish is just for the utility heal around the team.

Ev, Nature & Item Acting as a special wall Max/Max is the evs i decided on going for whilst the 4 in SpA is for the small increase in shadow balls offensive power
Calm - Self explanatory really just increases its walling power.
Finally Flame orb just serves as a way of getting burnt so I don't get Twaved i prefer it over leftovers as I already have Wish for hp restoring. Its also there for the basic Ruining of Trickers.
Clefable is set-up fodder if tricked on anything but Encore (and T-wave to an extent)

Speedy Bro (Arcanine) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Flare Blitz
- ExtremeSpeed
- Thunder Fang
- Crunch

Role Summary Ok lets addresses the first question before its asked Arcanine started out as a normal CB Arcanine to be honest found it much to slow and to be honest I used it only as a Extreame speeder Swapping it to a Scalfer as made it quite possibly the biggest asset to my team it could ever be, acting as both an early and late game sweeper it rips down walls and kills very strong UU pokemon such as Registeel and Venasaur.

Moveset Flare Blitz acts as the main stab of this pokemon the only problem with it is the recoil but its fairly deal able as it needs the recoil of OKs to kill himself. ExtreameSpeed is for the Priority moves though without Sb it doesn't hit for as much as i would like but its still a fairly effective move. Thunderfang its pritty much the useless move on this set. It deals with None bulky water but just loses completely against milotic. Crunch, I hate Mismagus and it also acts as a way of destroying alakazam and such pokemon All in all Flare blitz is the main used move in this set.

Evs, Natures & item The evs and nature are fairly self explanatory Max/Max for the best results when Sweeping with Speedy bro.
Choice scalf was really there as an improvement over choice band as flare blitz still keeps its overpowerd Stab.

A possibly change im considering with this is the nature of the pokemon Jolly>Adamant for the extra speed but Most other scalfers will out speed this pokemon anyway.

Like most choice users again its set-up fodder for most pokemon that are not effected by flare blitz

azumarill.png

Blue Brother (Azumarill) (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Huge Power
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Atk / 16 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
- Return
- Double-Edge

Role Summary Basically this is the second in my Choice pair azumarill nets me 1 or 2 kills every game because it has very powerful stabs, most of the time your looking at OHKO water moves and 1/2 Ko normal moves azumarill also acts as my physical wall strange? yes it is but it works since its main weakness comes from grass knots and Thunderbolts, finally its normal moves allows it to kill lots of rain dancers after a T-wave from Clefable.

Moveset Waterfall>Double Edge>Aquajet waterfall just acts as the main stab move whilst double edge just ruins pokemon such as Omastar, Aquajet is used when i really need a priority move which is rarely but it does far more damage than Extreamespeed and normally hits for around 63% -87% neutral damage.

Evs, Nature & Item Ok slightly different evs than how I usually ev my pokemon the 16spd is basically for outspending other azumarill whilst the Hp and Attack are for increasing damage and survivability vs physical pokemon respectively.
Nature is fairly explanatory as it just further increases the damage from a stab waterfall/aquajet

same problem as arcanine its set-up fodder if swapped in on the wrong move.

Big Brother (Aggron) (M) @ Wide Lens
Trait: Rock Head
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 Hp
Jolly Nature
- Rock Polish
- Aqua Tail
- Head Smash
- Ice Punch

Role Summary Aggron is vital to this team as the Anti stall late game sweeper with one rock polish it outspeeds anything that not scalfed with 2 it outspeeds everything else. with resistance to toxic it acts as a very powerful wall vs most toxic stallers but like all good sweepers it has one very big problem and that's that Most earth/fighting moves are instant OHKO so it does need to be brought in very late game other than that its two powerful stabs take care of almost anything. Aggron has one key advantage over other late game sweepers the ability to kill things with Head smash Without ruining a sweep with his recoil. Cool huh?

Moveset Rock Polish without this Aggron cannot function giving it the speed it needs to sweep teams with a problem.
Offensively wise Headsmash>Ice punch are my main moves allowing it to destroy most ground pokemon whilst using head smash as a way to OHKO pokemon such as Bulky milotic. Finally iron head is there when i need to hit the pokemon on low health and cannot afford the miss from head smash.

Evs, Nature & item Well the evs are there to force Speedy kills with head smash and the speed evs mean that I usually only need minimum One Speed polish to out speed the opponents team. the wide lens is there so I can be almost perfectly assured that head smash will not miss.
Nature - hasty is there so I get the speed I need probably the most debatable thing, Out of using Jolly or adamant instead.
Problem here is that Aggron is very weak to pokemon using earthquake or fast fighting pokemon who he cannot kill

Fat Brother (Torterra) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Overgrow
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Wood Hammer
- Earthquake
- Rock Polish
- Rock Slide

Role Summary Well here it is the last pokemon on the team completing my third pair and my FWG core torterra is a very powerful pokemon the slower of my two late game sweepers just like aggron is has a few key weaknesses Namely anything with ice beam... just milotic im looking at you. Fortunately being one of the last pokemon I bring to the table almost all of his weaknesses have been eliminated by now having two stabs gives it great coverage and having almost the same purpose as azumarill it can deal with physical attacks like a champion.

Moveset Rock polish serves the same purpose as on Aggron but it needs at least two for a good team sweep due to it being a much more fat tank that Aggron in a speedy tank. Wood hammer and Earthquake serve as its main stab whilst Rock slide is there to take out things like articuno (if it swaps in)
Another difference between the two sweepers is that torterra doesn't last forever so it really needs the wishes from Clefable if your planning on using it more than once.

Evs, Nature & Item Leftovers are to try and make up for the lack of longevity due to the recoil from Wood hammer.
The evs are there to give it the same surviablity as azumarill to an extent with adamant there to Make its Wood hammer as powerful as it can be before it kills Torterra.

As stated before it has a horrid weakness to ice moves so if my ice resistances are dead namely azumarill and clefable it doesn't have the amount of longevity it usually has.

Team Building

The team started out using the FwG core of Venasaur Arcanine and Azumarill and effective core that had lots of Punch.

Testing then showed that I used to be destroyed by Mismagius So after seeing someone on pokemon On-line using torterra i just had to use it over venasaur also during this time I switched the Builds of arcanine and uxie and Swapped mismagus for aggron.

Nice team...I'm too lazy to find flaws right now but I will if I can. Your Aggron has 511/510 EVs...I also see a problem with fighting Pokemon. After Ambipom rips through your no Physically EV invested Uxie with Payback, It can bring it's friends like Machoke to proceed ripping through your team. I would suggest replacing Arcanine with Specs Alakazam, or replacing one of your Rock Polishers with a Life Orb variant.

Sorry aggron was a Typo changed that now thank you

The problem with fighting pokemon can be countered fairly easily by Scalf arcanine with a flare blitz and azumarills waterfall if I don't get Koed on the switch in fightings dont really present a problem to be on the other hand certain fast pokemon with moves such as low kick do present a problem.

252 Special Attack on Uxie and you're not abusing it with Psychic? What a waste. It's not as if Hariyama is more specially defensive than physically defensive. Change Zen Headbutt to Psychic!

Also switch ScarfNine to Scarf Blaziken... you get an extra STAB in Superpower/Low Kick (your choice)... Extremespeed is not as useful as since you're so fast. Crunch doesn't matter as you kill Missy and Alakazam with Flare Blitz anyway. Blaziken has an even higher attacking stats! You could go all Physical (Flare Blitz / Superpower / ThunderPunch / Stone Edge) or Mixed (Fire Blast / Superpower / ThunderPunch / Hidden Power Ice)

Hi, I have a small suggestion to give. I suggest switching your current lead Uxie to the standard TrickScarf variant which defeats defeats Ambipom which seems to give problems to your current lead. Since most Ambipom will generally taunt the first turn seeing an Uxie lead, you can Trick them a Choice Scarf then U-Turn or lay your Rocks Up. Also, if you want another move to force switches on your opponent's team, I suggest using Yawn as the fourth Move. Here's the set, and Good Luck!

Uxie @ Choice Scarf
Impish Nature/ Levitate Ability
252 HP / 104 Def / 152 Spe
- Trick
- U-Turn
- Stealth Rocks
- Thunder Wave/ Yawn/ Knock Off

Don't have much to say; just a few things

I'm pretty sure that you can run a Mesprit with a spread of 64 Def / 172 Speed / 16 SpA / 252 SpD Timid to achieve more or less the same stats, just slightly more defensive but slightly weaker. It's also a bit slower; I have no clue what you were trying to outspeed with those EVs so I just lowered it to enough to outspeed + base 70s.

Change Zen Headbutt to Psychic, as YaM said.

The new event Entei outclasses arcanine imo.
Its bulkier, better moves, and stronger

Entei @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Flare Blitz
- ExtremeSpeed
- Stone edge
- Iron Head

You still can't use that set on Shoddy, unless you play PO. On to the rate, as some people have already suggested use the Trick scarf Lead on Uxie as it works much better than you current lead. most definitely change Aggron to a Jolly Nature as Hasty wreaks Aggrons good defense. I also think that Torterra should Run 252 Speed rather than HP, because you get a much better boost in speed to help out speed some scarfers. Other wise everything else looks good GL with the team.

just a quick rate

why is aggron running iron head? steel is kinda horrible as an offensive type IMO and iron head doesn't really hit anything. I recommend aqua tail so that donphan doesn't ruin your sweep. Also, change Aggron's nature to Jolly. Hasty kinda ruins Aggron's nice defense stat(although he wont be taking EQs and CCs anytime soon, but a neutral hit is soaked up better) and Aggron obviously won't use special attacks, so Jolly > Hasty

GL

Torterra needs 252 EVs take out of HP and put into speed, that way he outspeeds the whole of UU (not including scarfers), bar Electrode I think and generally sweep more often, IMO Torterra doesn't have chance to set up 2 Rock Polishes, even with those HP EVs, after 2 Rock Polishes, you'll probably be like on 30% or less health, kill something and then get revenge killed. You also might find you sweep more with it again if you add in a Life Orb or Stone Edge over Rock Slide.

Sorry I don't play UU much at all [actually on hiatus from pokemon but...], so im not sure if my rate will mean much :(

Just from general use of Aggron, Earthquake would probably be more beneficial so you can also take out Registeel, as Ice Punch can take out a weakened Donphan, who should be lowish HP thanks to Uxie's Toxic.

I think using both Arcanine and Azumarill is kind of overkill, and you could consider Rotom over either of them, as burn support helps Aggron wonders against STAB SE hits, and he has great synergy with Clefable, and can be a good fighting immunity if Uxie is down.
