Hi, i've decided to make a RMT on here and see what you guys think I should add or remove or even change from this team!
Clefairy and Darmanitan:
Liya (Clefairy) (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Friend Guard
EVs: 148 HP / 108 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Follow Me
- Helping Hand
- Toxic
- Wish
Apaje (Darmanitan) (M) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Belly Drum
- Rock Slide
- Fire Punch
- Yawn
I put these two together for a few reasons. For one, Clefairy's Friend Guard ability reduces damage done to Darmanitan by 25%. This is a good boost to Darmanitan's unfortunant defense. I placed the Eviolite, along with setting Clefairy's EV's to high numbers in all the bulkiest stats. Darmanitan is holding the Air Balloon to protect from Earthquake, which is a strategy killer for what this strategy is.
The strategy was based off of Se Jun Park's Followrichu strategy back in 2014, except Clefairy is much more reliable because of it's bulkiness. Clefairy will be able to go for the follow me allowing for Darmanitan to get a quick Belly Drum off without getting harmed. The only major downside to this strategy is that moves that can hit both Clefairy and Darmanitan will ruin it all. I still need suggestions to boost up this strategy, but after the Belly Drum, I can set Clefairy's follow me off once again allowing Darmanitan another free hit, with the x4 + Sheer Force Rockslide is a guarenteed OHKO to pretty much all pokemon that aren't both Water and Ground such as Seismitoad. It's a very powerful set up, however it can easily be torn apart with a simple Rockslide, Surf, or Waterspout.
Landorus-Therian:
Sibtay (Landorus-Therian) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Knock Off
- Rock Slide
Landorus is a great way to lower the attack damage of the terrifying physical powerhouses such as Garchomp or Dragonite. An easy switch in with Intimidate is easily going to lower the threat rate of those physical sweepers. With Landorus's incredible speed, which along with the choice scarf can outspeed almost any pokemon in the metagame, can combine the 379 attack to pull off an extremely powerful U-turn. This pokemon is definately a VIP on the team without a doubt.
Magnezone:
Braha (Magnezone) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Magnet Pull
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 172 HP / 252 SpA / 84 Spe
Modest Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Flash Cannon
- Thunderbolt
Magnezone is actually a pretty bulky sweeper. The Choice Specs along with max SpA is a guarenteed 2HKO to any pokemon weak to the moves provided. The Hidden Power [Ice] is really just a way to get rid of huge ground threats such as Hippowdon and Tyranitar. The Magnet Pull is also very helpful. It'll allow me to keep in some of the largest threats to take them out with Landorus, it's a pretty useful set up with Magnezone.
Weezing:
Yamar (Weezing) (M) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpA
Bold Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Sludge Bomb
- Protect
- Thunderbolt
There's no words to describe Weezing's bulkiness when it comes to physical attacks. It's a great pokemon to have for backup when I need to U-turn out of Landorus, and it takes almost no damage from physical sweepers such as Cloyster or Darmanitan. The Sludge Bomb is a very useful way to cripple Fairy-type walls, and the Thunderbolt is a quick way to get rid of severe Water type threats that could potentially cripple Weezing with a Special move.
Mega Gallade:
Maahij (Gallade-Mega) @ Galladite
Ability: Inner Focus
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Drain Punch
- Zen Headbutt
- Leaf Blade
Just by looking at it, you can tell this thing is a Tanky Powerhouse. It's incredible attack stat reaches a whopping 429 and it is also an easy outspeed for almost anything that isn't scarved. It's Swords Dance is just a scarier thing to see with this thing considering it's very bulky, and the Drain Punch will be able to do extreme damage, allowing him to gain a LOT of HP back from that turn. This is a very useful pokemon to be using on my team.
So that's about it! Tell me what you think and please leave suggestions on how to bulk up my Clefmanitan strategy!
Best Regards, Landorus
