Clorophyll Team

this is my first team so I know there are holes and weaknesses but it has fared me well so with that disclaimer lets go.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ninetails @ Leftovers
Ability: Drought
Nature: Timid
EV's: HP 252/Def 212/SpD 44
Heat Wave
Safeguard
Solarbeam
Will-O-Wisp
The obvious base of this team it is the pinnacle of the team. EV spread is for maximum survivability Will-O-Wisp is to cripple Physical foes. Safeguard is to prevent toxic for a few turns and negate toxic spikes if I can't get my next guy in safely...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Venusaur @ Life Orb
Ability: Chlorophyll
Nature: Modest
EV's: HP 4/ SpA 252/ Spe 252
Growth
SolarBeam
Hidden Power - Fire
Sludge Bomb
This is just the standard growth set if I can switch efficiently I can get one growth and that's usually enough to sweep. With full speed investment it outspeeds the whole unboosted metagame easily. Hidden Power Fire is nice coverage for steels that want to poop on my life.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lilligant @ Leftovers
Ability: Chlorophyll
Nature: Modest
EV's: HP 192/SpA 252/Spe 64
Giga Drain
Hidden Power - Rock
Substitute
Leaf Storm
This set has proved very effective in battle. I chose substitute over quiver dance because with a sub up I can tank hits until I find an opening to exploit. The speed investment again allows me to outspeed an unboosted metagame just beating ninjask by a close but effective 2 speed. Lilligant may seem weak but she has proved to be a big help
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Virizon @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
Nature: Modest
EV's: HP 104/Def 152/SpA 252
Calm Mind
Giga Drain
Focus Blast
Hidden Power - Ice
Looking back I should have turned her into a Physical pokemon because of my other two special sweepers but anyways. This is on here for the fire coverage and to hit dragons. speed investment should actually have been placed on this set, If anything on this team needs to be changed I'll be the first to admit it is this. She has done a good job but would serve better as a suprising dancer IMO.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shiftry @ Focus Sash
Ability: Chlorophyll
Nature: Adamant
EV's: HP 116/Atk 252/Spe 140
X-Scissor
Fake Out
Seed Bomb
Faint Attack
Again unboosted blah blah outspeed by 2. He is the physical base of this team. X-Scissor is for coverage on dark types because i cant hit them very hard. Fake Out is for the flinch to ruin focus sashes and get a chance to get settled basically and kill switch-ins. Seed Bomb is the most powerful STAB and Faint Attack is for the pokemon with miniscule amounts of health without the worry of missing and having the tide turn.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
Nature: Timid
EV's: HP 88/ Def 144/ SpA 16/ SpD 8/ Spe 252
Substitute
Stealth Rock
Torment
Lava Plume
The EV spread is odd I know but I feel it does pretty well, he can handle an unboosted STAB earthquake unless it's from Landorus usually. Substitute is to avoid huge damage while setting up stealth rock. Torment is to stop CC users from killing him as quickly it allows him to set up a sub torment and retaliate with a lava plume hoping for a burn before being slammed for inevitably large damage from CC and the like. Lava Plume over Fire Blast because of the burn hax which helps keep physical sweepers like most ground and fighting types are where as i can switch into water types with the multiple grass types on the team.

I am no expert nor do I claim to be anything but a novice. This team is by no stretch of the imagination perfect. it may not even be good in the communities eyes but, my record stands well with it and I like it because it is the first winning team I have built in OU. I would love suggestions and constructive criticism. thank you all for your time.

The team has terrible type balance, with large weaknesses to Ice and, despite Heatran, Fire attacks, especially since they're boosted under the Sun. The premise of multiple Chlorophyll is fundamentally flawed, as Sun teams are often weak to Fire attacks even with only one Grass type.

I feel like the team would need a complete overhaul to be competitive, which I don't really have the time to do, so I'll give you an example of successful Sun team. http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3455854

Since Thundurus is in Ubers now, just imagine Starmie or maybe a Dragon type in it's place.

If sun is not up and a pokemon like infernape or arcanine is brought in, it can outspeed and KO your entire team with ease, you have nothing to resist the attacks, outspeed it, or even any priority moves for revenge killing it.

Also Ninetales shouldn't usually have solar beam unless it carrys sunny day, as if the opponent predicts the solar beam and switches in politoed, hippodon, or tyranitar, they can one shot ninetales as it charges.

this team needs a complete overhaul, i would suggest looking in the archive for example sun teams, and maybe start again with Ninetales / Heatran / Venusaur + 3 others, if you want to keep some of this team.

Drop Venosaur for Victreebel if you aren't going to use earthquake. A Giga Drain V-bel that you know you can get a growth off on will be able to eat teams without Heatran alive and break Blisseys who think they can stall it. With +6 from growth, you do about 71% to blissey, and get a ton of health to eat. I run one with a Modest Nature @Life Orb and Giga Drain/Weather Ball/Sludge Bomb/Growth. The other advantage of Giga Drain is other weather users like Politoad will have to think twice about switching it.
