[SET COMMENTS]
A good Speed tier, an amazing Defense stat, good utility moves in Taunt, Stealth Rock, and Thunder Wave, and an amazing secondary typing in Steel make Cobalion one of the best defensive pivots Fighting has to offer. Stealth Rock primarily helps against threats weak to it like Choice Specs Zapdos and Alolan Ninetales. Cobalion's decent defensive stats and good Speed mean it can successfully set Stealth Rock more often than not. Iron Head helps against Fairy-types that threaten Fighting-type teams like Mega Diancie and Tapu Lele. Taunt blocks foes from using Taunt and recovery moves, as well as blocking their own entry hazards or Defog to remove Cobalion's Stealth Rock. Thunder Wave is used to cripple faster offensive threats that Cobalion fails to do much against like Deoxys-S and Latios. Volt Switch can be used in lieu of Thunder Wave, making Coballion a great defensive pivot while maintaining offensive momentum. Justified allows it to switch into weak Dark-type attacks from the likes of Mandibuzz and gain an Attack boost. A Jolly nature allows Cobalion to outspeed key threats like both Urshifu-R, Kyurem, Hydreigon, non-Choice Scarf Blacephalon, and Tapu Lele while Speed tying with Pokemon such as Keldeo and Terrakion.

All of Cobalion's teammates appreciate it reliably setting up Stealth Rock while also being able to paralyze faster foes for them. Terrakion and Keldeo reliably deal with Fire-types like Volcarona and Victini that threaten Cobalion. Keldeo can also threaten Ground-types that threaten Cobalion such as Landorus and Excadrill. Both Terrakion and Keldeo also appreciate. Volt Switch Cobalion reliably pivoting into them, as do Mega Gallade and Kommo-o looking for good setup opportunities. Mega Gallade also eases matchups such as Poison and Steel where Cobalion fails to do anything significant, and Kommo-o has Taunt to take on opposing walls like Toxapex and Celesteela that deal with Cobalion. Urshifu-S, Heracross, and Buzzwole fit well on Fighting teams because they aid greatly in the Psychic-type matchup. Hawlucha is able to ease the Fighting-type mirror matchup while taking care of Fighting-types that threaten Cobalion, like opposing Keldeo and Choice Scarf users such as Heracross and Buzzwole. Lastly, Breloom can be opted for on certain teams to ease matchups such as Ground and Water where Cobalion fails to do anything of significance besides setting Stealth Rock.

Other Options
=============

Fighting
--------
Cobalion can opt for Rocky Helmet in lieu of Leftovers to chip down and punish U-turn users like Mega Scizor and other physical attackers. Both Chople Berry and Occa Berry are options as well, mainly helping against threats like Mega Lopunny and Victini, respectively. However, any other item means that Cobalion loses its only method of recovery. Cobalion can also opt for a more offensive set with Life Orb. However, its middling offensive stats usually leave it unable to do any significant damage.

Checks and Counters
===================

Fighting
--------
**Burns**: Burns heavily cripple Cobalion, reducing its already-low damage output and negating its recovery from Leftovers.

**Stallbreakers**: Stallbreakers such as Zarude, Mew, and Gliscor have little to no trouble dealing with Cobalion, as Iron Head does very little damage to them.

**Wallbreakers**: Despite Cobalion'ns decent defensive stats, powerful wallbreakers like Choice Specs Tapu Koko and Mega Gallade that outspeed it can comfortably deal large amounts of damage to it with their powerful STAB moves.

A good Speed tier, amazing Defense stat, access to utility moves such as Taunt, Stealth Rock, and Thunder Wave, in conjunction with an amazing secondary typing in Steel make Cobalion one of the best defensive pivots Fighting-type has to offer. Stealth Rock primarily helps against Bug, Fire, and Flying team that share a weakness to Stealth Rock [these types commonly run boots; would rather say that it wears down threats like choice specs zapdos and alolan ninetales]. Cobalion's decent defensive stats and good Speed ensures it can successfully Stealth Rock more often than not. Iron Head helps against Fairy-types that threaten Fighting-type teams like Mega Diancie and Tapu Lele. Taunt blocks opponents from using utility moves, blocking opponents [removed bc it was kinda obvious] blocks foes from using Taunt and recovery moves while also preventing the opponent from setting up their own hazards or defogging away Stealth Rock set up by Cobalion. Thunder Wave is used to cripple faster offensive threats that Cobalion fails to do much against like Deoxys-S and Latios. Volt Switch can be used in lieu of Thunder Wave, allowing Cobalion to act as a great defensive pivot while maintaining offensive momentum. Leftovers provides Cobalion with passive recovery while Justified is its only ability, allowing it to switch-in against weak Dark-type attacks from the likes of Mandibuzz and gain an Attack boost. Maximum HP EVs maximize Cobalion's bulk while maximum Speed along with a Jolly nature allows Cobalion to outspeed key threats like both Urshifu forms, non-Choice Scarf Blacephalon, and Tapu Lele [mention hydreigon and kyurem as examples] while speed tying with Pokemon such as its fellow Swords of Justices Keldeo and Terrakion.

All of Cobalion's teammates appreciate its ability to reliable setup reliably set up Stealth Rock, while also being able to paralyze faster foes for them. Terrakion and Keldeo pair up well with Cobalion as they reliably deal with Fire-types like Volcarona and Victini that threaten Cobalion. Keldeo can also threaten Ground-types that threaten Cobalion such as Landorus and Excadrill. Both, [gp thing but this comma should be removed] Terrakion and Keldeo also appreciate Cobalion's ability to reliably pivot into them with Volt Switch. Heracross and Buzzwole fit well on Fighting teams due to their ability to aid greatly in the Psychic-type matchup [urshifu-s definitely needs to be mentioned here too]. Pokemon like Mega Gallade and Kommo-o pair up well with Cobalion thanks to its ability to reliably bring them into the field on good setup opportunities. Mega Gallade also eases matchups such as Poison and Steel where Cobalion fails to do anything significant. Kommo-o takes of on opposing walls that deal with Cobalion, thanks to Taunt [list some examples of walls]. Hawlucha is able to ease the Fighting-type mirror matchup while also taking care of Fighting-types that threaten Cobalion like opposing Keldeo and Choice Scarf users such as Heracross and Buzzwole. Lastly, Breloom can be opted for on certain teams to ease matchups such as Ground and Water where Coblaion fails to do anything of significance outside of setting up Stealth Rock.

Checks and Counters

Fighting

**Fire-types**: Due to Cobalion's Steel typing it is often left vulnerable to common Fire-types as Iron Head fails to do any significant damage. Fire-types like Victini and Blacephalon can OHKO Cobalion with ease.

**Ground-types**: Ground-types like Landorus-T, Excadrill, and Garchomp are all capable of dealing large amounts of damage to Cobalion with their powerful Ground-type STAB moves. Furthermore, they cannot be paralyzed by Thunder Wave either.

could remove the two bullets above since it's not necessary to put super effective attacks

**Wallbreakers**: Powerful wallbreakers like Choice Specs Tapu Koko, and Mega Gallde Mega Gallade that outspeed Cobalion can comfortably deal large amounts of damage to Cobalion with their powerful STAB moves despite Cobalion's decent defensive stats.

**Burn**: mention that coba struggles to do any real damage if it's burned

**Stallbreakers**: mention stuff like bulk up + jungle healing zarude and taunt gliscor shutting down coba, as iron head can't do much to them
