Colossoil

[OVERVIEW]

Colossoil is a powerful physical attacker that can function as either a hard-hitting wallbreaker or a specially inclined tank. Guts turns Colossoil into a powerhouse, allowing it to break through even dedicated checks such as Tomohawk and Jumbao with Facade while also giving Colossoil strong priority with Sucker Punch and a powerful Pursuit, which allows it to crack teams open with proper prediction. Its second ability, Rebound, bounces back status moves on the turn it switches in, which can prevent entry hazards from being set up with the right prediction. On top of that, Colossoil can also use Assault Vest, which gives it the necessary bulk to better check threats like Krilowatt, Mega Latios, and Heatran. However, Colossoil can't fit everything it wants into its four moveslots, as it needs Earthquake and Knock Off, so it has to pick between Sucker Punch, Pursuit, Facade, and U-turn. Additionally, its middling Speed combined with its poor matchup against common offensive threats like Hawlucha, Tapu Koko, Ash-Greninja, and Jumbao means that Colossoil can struggle against offense. Colossoil can also be unreliable at checking Ghost-types, as the most common ones, Pajantom and Necturna, have ways to play around it, either by hitting it with super effective coverage or by using Substitute to evade Sucker Punch. Finally, Colossoil faces competition as a Pursuit trapper from Weavile and Mega Tyranitar, as the former has an easier time revenge killing threats thanks to its higher Speed and doesn't need to play mind games with Necturna to beat it thanks to Ice Shard, while the latter has a better matchup against Tornadus-T and also serves as a solid Stealth Rock setter.

Moves
========

Facade is the preferred choice in the last moveslot, as it provides Colossoil with a powerful neutral coverage move, allowing it to break through would-be checks such as Tomohawk, Landorus-T, and Jumbao with the right prediction. U-turn is an alternative to keep up momentum. Pursuit capitalizes on Colossoil's power to remove or heavily weaken Pokemon it often forces out, such as Pajantom, Heatran, and Chansey.

Set Details
========

Flame Orb is the optimal item for an offensive set, because it reliably activates Guts. An Adamant nature is preferred for breaking through Landorus-T, Mega Scizor, and Pyroak with greater ease. However, Jolly can be used to outspeed Aurumoth and Modest Volkraken, as well as Speed tie with Tapu Lele, but the loss in power is noticeable.

Usage Tips
========

Get Colossoil in on Pokemon it can force out like Heatran, Magearna, Aurumoth, and Mega Tyranitar as soon as you can and start throwing out Guts-boosted Knock Offs and Earthquakes to create holes in the opposing team. As Colossoil's power can force out many slower Pokemon, Colossoil can punish them through Pursuit or U-turn. If you're facing a Tomohawk, you can fully expect to see them switch in to keep Colossoil's impact to a minimum. You can use this predictability to remove its item with Knock Off the first time it switches in and then use Facade to deal severe damage to it or U-turn to pivot into a teammate that can threaten it. Pursuit is also incredibly useful here, because it can force the Pokemon switching out into Tomohawk to take severe damage. It's also very important to have a good read on your opponent in case they try to play around Sucker Punch and Pursuit. Turn the tables on your opponent by using the threat of a Sucker Punch to force a switch, and then take a chunk out of the retreating Pokemon with Pursuit. Likewise, be aware of Pokemon such as Greninja, Shell Smash Necturna, and Choice Band Syclant, which can play around Sucker Punch through entry hazards, setup moves, faster priority, or Substitute.

Team Options
========

Entry hazards are the name of the game with Colossoil, as it rapidly breaks down defensive cores after a layer of hazards. Stealth Rock setters such as Mega Crucibelle, Mega Diancie, Landorus-T, and Ferrothorn all have synergy with Colossoil, as they can check Fighting-, Grass-, and Water-types. Syclant and both Greninja formes work well as offensive Spikes setters, and they appreciate Colossoil's ability to wear down Arghonaut. They can also give you opportunities to bring Colossoil in with U-turn. Other offensive Ground-types, such as Landorus-T, appreciate Colossoil's ability to wear down checks like Jumbao. In return, Landorus-T can potentially net an OHKO on Tomohawk with Supersonic Skystrike. Powerful special attackers such as Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, Volkraken, Mega Alakazam, and Magearna are good choices too, as they can pressure physically defensive walls such as Landorus-T and Tomohawk.

Moves
========

Pursuit works very well on this set, as Colossoil can capitalize on the improved bulk to better force out and punish threats like Heatran, Mega Latios, and Pajantom. Sucker Punch improves its matchup against faster offensive threats like Mega Crucibelle and Tornadus-T. On the other hand, U-turn allows Colossoil to pivot out of disadvantageous situations. Rapid Spin is an option on this set, as the bulk provided by Assault Vest allows Colossoil to repeatedly come in to remove entry hazards, but be aware that despite its good matchup against Heatran, Chansey, and Mega Tyranitar, Colossoil doesn't fare well against most other hazard setters and is easily worn down.

Set Details
========

Assault Vest turns Colossoil into a bulky special tank that can serve as a check to Pokemon such as Krilowatt, Mega Latios, and Heatran. 144 Speed EVs let Colossoil outspeed Adamant Necturna. The given Special Defense EVs prevent Colossoil from being 2HKOed by offensive Heatran's Magma Storm and Krilowatt's Ice Beam, and the investment also lets it tank All-Out Pummeling from Aurumoth at +0. Guts is preferred to punish Heatran and Toxapex for spamming Lava Plume or Scald; however, Rebound is an alternative option to help to keep entry hazards off the field.

Usage Tips
========

Switch Colossoil into weak special attackers that can't deal much damage to it like Krilowatt and specially defensive Heatran or on a predicted Scald or Lava Plume to try to activate Guts, as this set has enough bulk to tank weak super effective hits from the likes of Toxapex and Gastrodon with ease. If running Rebound, switch into predicted status moves instead. Early-game, spam Knock Off to remove the items of whatever switches in. Use Pursuit or U-turn on predicted switches, depending on whether you want to damage the Pokemon switching out or pressure the incoming threat with one of your teammates. Sucker Punch should be used to revenge kill sweepers such as Aurumoth and finish off weakened foes.

Team Options
========

Assault Vest Colossoil works well with Jumbao, which appreciates the pressure Colossoil can put on Heatran. In return, Jumbao can keep Colossoil healthy via Wish and check Water types such as Ash-Greninja. Pokemon that are threatened by Psychic-types, such as Tomohawk, Toxapex, Arghonaut, and Mega Crucibelle are good partners too, because Colossoil can remove most Psychic-types with the combined pressure of Sucker Punch and Pursuit. Pokemon that can take advantage of Tomohawk and Arghonaut, like Tornadus-T, Mega Alakazam, Magearna, and Tapu Lele are necessary, because this set doesn't have the strength to break past them. The last two in particular also greatly benefit from Colossoil pressuring Heatran. Finally, Fairy-resistant Pokemon such as Heatran, Celesteela, Ferrothorn, and the aforementioned Mega Crucibelle and Magearna are very important teammates too, as they can take attacks like Moonblast from Jumbao, Tapu Lele, and Mega Diancie with relative ease.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

A Choice Scarf set can be used to give Colossoil a much better matchup against faster threats like Mega Crucibelle and Tapu Koko. It also provides a valuable way to check faster Pokemon and can revenge kill Cawmodore with Foul Play after it uses Belly Drum, as a boosted Bullet Punch fails to KO from full health.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Tomohawk**: Defensive Tomohawk can switch into anything but Facade with impunity and then use Colossoil to set up Stealth Rock or Rapid Spin safely, although it dislikes losing its item. Offensive sets are easier to wear down but can outspeed Adamant Colossoil and KO it with Focus Blast.

**Landorus-T**: Defensive Landorus-T can switch into Colossoil several times and either threaten it out with Earthquake or use it to set up Stealth Rock or use Defog. Choice Scarf and Z-Crystal variants can also check Colossoil, but they must be wary of switching into Facade. Choice Scarf sets also have to watch out for Knock Off, since it's a 2HKO with Sucker Punch after Stealth Rock if Guts is activated.

**Grass-types**: Jumbao and Tapu Bulu can tank any attack aside from Guts-boosted Facade with relative ease and force Colossoil out with their super effective STAB moves. Kartana and Caribolt can't switch in easily but can reliably revenge kill Colossoil with their STAB moves as long as they are not in range of Sucker Punch.

**Water-types**: Arghonaut can switch into a Dark-type move and threaten Colossoil out; however, it is 2HKOed by a Guts-boosted Earthquake. Snaelstrom can switch into Assault Vest sets once its Toxic Orb has been activated and deal severe damage with U-turn or Leech Life. However, it doesn't like taking a Guts-boosted Knock Off or Facade. Offensive Water-types such as Volkraken and both Greninja formes outspeed and OHKO even Assault Vest sets after some prior damage but must be wary of switching in.

**Faster Attackers**: Due to its mediocre Speed, many offensive threats, such as Tapu Lele, Mega Crucibelle, and Tornadus-T, are capable of forcing Colossoil out.

Hey I'm sorry you put so much effort in writing the Choice Scarf set, but qc decided it isn't deserving of a full set considering how relevant it is in the meta.

Ok, fair enough, I'll remove it and add Scarf to the list of other options tomorrow.

EDIT: Done.

[Overview]

- Guts turns Colossoil into a powerhouse, allowing it to break through everything but dedicated resists such as Tomohawk and Jumbao, while also giving Colossoil strong Pursuits and priority with Sucker Punch.
I mean, even Tomohawk and Jumbao are broken through by Facade.

- Colossoil's Guts boosted Pursuit is second only to a Pursuit from Choice Band Tyranitar in terms of damage, and allows it to crack teams open with proper prediction.
How strong Tyranitar is is of no relevance to this analysis.

Talk about Rebound, right now the overview only focuses on Guts.

[Flame Orb]

[Set]

[SET]
name: Flame Orb
move 1: Earthquake
move 2: Sucker Punch
move 3: Knock Off
move 4: Facade / Pursuit / U-turn
item: Flame Orb
ability: Guts
nature: Adamant / Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

Slash U-turn in front of Pursuit, unslash Jolly because it's being moved down to Set Details.

[Moves]

- Sucker Punch allows Colossoil to remain competitive versus offensive teams by giving it an extremely powerful priority move. This allows Colossoil to pick off weakened threats, including Mega Crucibelle, Volkraken, and Krillowatt.
What does "remain competitive" even mean, it's such a vague term, please reword it. Also, be specific that these weakened threats are faster.

[Usage Tips]

- If you're facing a Tomohawk, you can fully expect to see them switch in to help keep Colossoil's impact to a minimum. You can use this predictability to Knock Off their item on the first switch in, and then abuse the switch in later on with your fourth moveslot.
Specify that you mean Facade or U-turn, Pursuit can be used in the fourth moveslot and is doing nothing to Tomohawk.

[Team Options]

Syclant and both Greninja formes work well as offensive spike setters, and they appreciate Colossoil's ability to wear down the opposing team.
Both provide U-turn support aswell, and usually force in slower defensive Pokemon, which is nice to get Colossoil in.

[Assault Vest]

[Moves]

- Sucker Punch allow Colossoil to carry it's weight against offensive teams, and can clean weakened teams late-game.
It also creates mind games in tandem with Pursuit.

[Set Details]

-144 Spd allows Colossoil to outspeed Adamant Necturna
You mean Spe.

[Usage Tips]

- Switch Colossoil into weak Special Attackers who either don't run a move to hit it super effectively, or run HP Ice.
Just say "that can't hit it hard".

Mention that you can Colossoil in on expected hazards or Scalds, depending on its ability.

[Other Options]

- Leftovers can be substituted over Assault Vest to allow usage of Encore, Taunt, and Toxic to disrupt hazard setters such as Tomohawk and Ferrothorn, as well as punish set up sweepers such as Zygarde.
- Encore allows Colossoil to punish hazard setters, set up sweepers, recovery moves. It also has a notable synergy with Pursuit in that it can force a switch.
- Taunt allows Colossoil to prevent hazard setters such as Ferrothorn from setting up. It also works well with Rebound since you can Taunt after a Rebound to keep hazards off the field.
Turn this into 1 bullet point.

- Fire Fang can be used to better deal with Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn, but has little use otherwise.
Colossoil really can't fit it which is a major problem.

- Flynium-Z and Bounce can be used to get the drop on Keldeo/Arghonaut/Tangrowth/Mega Venusaur. You won't be able to beat a Tomohawk from full even with this move, sadly.
Mention Jumbao. Remove Keldeo, it's entirely irrelevant.

[Checks and Counters]

Scarf also has to watch out for Knock Off since its a 2HKO with Sucker Punch after Stealth Rock.
Specify if Guts is activated.

**Bulky Grass-types**: Tapu Bulu, Jumbao, and Ferrothorn can all switch into the Assault Vest set with impunity and threaten to OHKO with their Grass STAB move. Ferrothorn can't switch into the Guts set but can beat it 1v1 with Power Whip, and both Jumbao and Tapu Bulu can tank any attack aside form Facade.
Defensive Jumbao variants don't run Grass STAB, so mention Fairy-type STAB aswell.

1/3, very good job

Check implemented, here are the most notable changes:

- Guts turns Colossoil into a powerhouse, allowing it to break through even dedicated resists such as Tomohawk and Jumbao with Facade, while also giving Colossoil strong Pursuits and priority with Sucker Punch.

I changed this point to reflect how even these dedicated resist can be broken with Facade.

- Its second ability, Rebound, bounces back status moves on the turn it switches in, which can prevent Hazards setters from setting up with the right prediction.

Just as requested, added a point about Rebound. However, as this explains the ability, I removed the part on the Assault Vest set where it was explained before.

-Adamant is preferred for breaking through Landorus-T, Mega Scizor and Pyroak with greater ease. Alternatively, Jolly can be used to outspeed Aurumoth, Modest Volkraken and Adamant Zygarde, and speed tie with Tapu Lele and Timid Volkraken, but the loss in power is noticeable.

Added the bold section to be more in line with Jolly not being slashed, and to show why is not the recommended nature.

- If you're facing a Tomohawk, you can fully expect to see them switch in to help keep Colossoil's impact to a minimum. You can use this predictability to Knock Off their item on the first switch in, and then use Facade to deal severe damage to it, U-Turn to pivot into a teammate that can threaten it, or Pursuit to hit the Pokemon switching out.

Expanded this point to showcase each individual move, as the way it was phrased before was too vague. I still talk about Pursuit, because while it doesn't hit Tomohawk, it can still be used in that situation to deal damage to the mon switching out.

If all of these small changes are fine, this should be ready for the next QC.

QC:

[OVERVIEW]

- Powerful physical attacker who functions either as an hard hitting wallbreaker or a specially inclined tank.
- Guts turns Colossoil into a powerhouse, allowing it to break through even dedicated resists such as Tomohawk and Jumbao with Facade, while also giving Colossoil strong Pursuits and priority with Sucker Punch. I feel like mentioning Colossoil's strong pursuit just before going into a whole point about how strong and great Pursuit is on it is kinda redundant.
- Colossoil's Guts boosted Pursuit is packs an incredible amount of power, and allows it to crack teams open with proper prediction.
- Its second ability, Rebound, bounces back status moves on the turn it switches in, which can prevent Hazards setters from setting up with the right prediction.
- Assault Vest sets allows Colossoil to check most specially offensive Psychic, Ghost, and Electric types, and gives it the necessary bulk to switch in and Rapid Spin consistently.
- The only viable Rapid Spinner capable of discouraging spinblocking thanks to its powerful Dark-type moves.
- Because of all the options at its disposal, Colossoil can't fit everything it wants into its four moveslots, as it needs Earthquake and Knock Off, so it has to pick between Sucker Punch, Pursuit, Facade, U-Turn and Rapid Spin.
-Despite its good bulk, This point has nothing to do with anything undermining its good bulk, just bad matchups with hazard setters. Colossoil has a bad match-up against a lot of common Hazard setters like Tomohawk, Landorus-T, Ferrothorn, Arghonaut and Greninja, meaning it will struggle to keep hazards out of the field against teams packing those.
-Colossoil's middling speed combined with it's poor match up with common offensive threats in Hawlucha, Tapu Koko, Ash Greninja, and Jumbao means that Colossoil can struggle against offense, which is a match-up only salvaged by it's access to Sucker Punch.

Moves
========

- Earthquake is Colossoil most powerful STAB move, and is able to 2HKO almost every grounded Pokemon that fails to resist it. Some notable 2HKOs Earthquake achieves are on Arghonaut, Pyroak and Mega Scizor after Stealth Rock damage.
- Sucker Punch gives Colossoil an extremely powerful priority move to threaten offensive teams. This allows Colossoil to pick off faster Pokemon including Mega Crucibelle, Volkraken, and Krilowatt after they have been weakened.
- Knock Off is Colossoil's most spammable move and is important in guaranteeing damage on Flying-type switch-ins such as Celesteela, Tomohawk, and Landorus-T. Knock Off is also valuable in removing Leftovers and pinch berries to help wear down defensive cores.
- The fourth move slot largely comes down to what Colossoil's team needs.
- Facade is the preferred choice, as it provides Colossoil with a powerful neutral coverage move, allowing it to break through would be checks such as Tomohawk, Landorus-T, Tapu Bulu, and Jumbao with the right prediction.
- Pursuit is another viable option if the rest of your team can handle the aforementioned threats, as it capitalizes on Colossoil's power to remove or heavily weaken Pokemon Colossoil often forces out, such as Pajantom, Heatran and Chansey. It also serve to punish Choiced users locked on a resisted move and can capitalize on the switches Sucker Punch can create, allowing Colossoil to heavily damage opponents predicting a Sucker Punch.
- U-turn is an alternative to keep up momentum against would be switch-ins, and can create a dangerous VoltTurn core alongside teammates like Tapu Koko.

Set Details
========

- Flame Orb is the optimal item for an offensive set because it reliably procs activates Guts.
- Guts is essential to this set due to the power if gives Colossoil's attacks. Without it, Colossoil would not be able to break through walls as effectively.
- EVs allow Colossoil to hit as hard as possible while outspeeding everything up to base 95.

Usage Tips
========

- Colossoil is best used as a battering ram. Get it in on something it can force out and start throwing out Guts boosted Knock Offs and Earthquakes to create holes in the opposing team.
- Colossoil's power can force out many slower Pokemon, so punish them when appropriate through Pursuit or U-turn.
I don't understand why you kept the Pursuit part. Yea, its good generally for Pursuit trapping stuff you check and catching mons on the switch, but this point is specifically about Tomohawk. Pursuit is doing jack all to Tomo, and Tomo is not switching out from you since you just revealed you don't have Facade.
- Because of how common Sucker Punch and Pursuit are on Colossoil, it's important to have a good read on your opponent in case they try to play around either one. Turn the tables on your opponent by using the threat of a Sucker Punch to force a switch, and then take a chunk out of the retreating Pokemon with Pursuit. Likewise, be aware of Pokemon that can play around Sucker Punch through entry hazards, set up moves, and Substitute.

Team Options
========

- Entry hazards are the name of the game with Colossoil. Not only can Colossoil rapidly break down defensive cores with a layer of Stealth Rock, Spikes, or Toxic Spikes down, Colossoil itself can pick up KOs on Pokemon after switching several times into entry hazards. This is important information but it takes two sentences to get to the actual teammates. Stealth Rock setters such as Mega Crucibelle, Landorus-T, Tomohawk, and Ferrothorn all have synergy with Colossoil, as they can check Fighting, Grass, or Water-types for Colossoil. Syclant and both Greninja formes work well as offensive spike setters, and they appreciate Colossoil's ability to wear down the opposing team. They can also give you opportunities to bring Colossoil with U-Turn. Pajantom and Toxapex are notable Toxic Spike setters. Pajantom in particular has great synergy with Colossoil as it can trap and remove many of the defensive switch-ins to Colossoil. Like?
- Other offensive Ground-types, such as Landorus-T and Zygarde appreciate Colossoil's ability to wear through their common checks. Like? In return, Landorus-T can potentially net a OHKO on Tomohawk with Supersonic Strike, and Zygarde can Toxic Tomohawk for Colossoil to break.
- Powerful special attackers such as Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, Volkraken, and Magearna can pressure physically defensive walls such as Landorus-T and Tomohawk.
- Volcarona, Mega Charizard Y and other Pokemon that appreciate the removal of Mollux and Heatran form powerful offensive cores with Colossoil, as it can threaten them out and heavily damage them with Pursuit. Add Volkraken here, it really needs Mollux gone to do major damage.

Moves
========

- Earthquake is necessary for Colossoil to adequately check Heatran, Toxapex, Cyclohm, and other Ground-weak Pokemon.
- Knock Off allows Colossoil to remove items from Pokemon such as Arghonaut, Landorus-T, and Tomohawk, and is Colossoil's go to STAB move.
- Pursuit works very well on this set, as Colossoil can capitalize on the improved bulk to better force out and punish threats like Heatran, Mega Latios, Pajantom and Mollux. Order for Pursuit and Knock Off should be switched to match the set.
- Sucker Punch allow Colossoil to carry it's weight against offensive teams, and can clean weakened teams late-game, and creates mind games in tandem with Pursuit.
- U-turn can be used to keep momentum on Colossoil's switch-ins, as this set lacks the offensive power to break through Celesteela, Tomohawk or Landorus-T.
- Rapid Spin is another option on this set, as the bulk provided by Assault Vest allows Colossoil to repeatedly come in to remove entry hazards. However, Colossoil has a bad match-up against common hazard setters like Ferrothorn, Tomohawk, and Arghonaut. This adds to the fact that, because of its lack of recovery, Colossoil can be too easily worn down for a spinner. For these reasons Rapid Spin should only be used on teams that wants hazard removal but can't afford to fit it anywhere else, or as a secondary spinner on teams revolving Pokemon weak to Stealth Rock, like Volcarona, Mega Pinsir or Mega Charizard X/Y.

Set Details
========

- Assault Vest turns Colossoil into a bulky special tank that can serve as a check to Pokemon such as Krilowatt, Mega Latios and Heatran.
-144 Spe allows Colossoil to outspeed Adamant Necturna
-160 SpD prevents Colossoil from being 2HKO by offensive Heatran's Magma Storm, Krilowatt's Ice Beam, and tanks an All-Out Pummeling from Aurumoth at +0.
-The rest of of the EVs are invested in Attack alongside an Adamant nature to improve Colossoil attacking prowess.
- Guts is preferred to better allow Colossoil to punish Pyroak, Heatran and Toxapex for spamming Lava Plume / Scald.
- Rebound is an alternative option to help keep hazards off the field.

Usage Tips
========

- Switch Colossoil into weak Special Attackers who can't deal much damage to it, or on a predicted Scald/Lava Plume to try to activate Guts. If running Rebound, switch into predicted entry hazards instead. Can you specify the weak special attackers? Terms kinda vague.
-Early game, spam Knock Off to remove the items of whatever switches in.
-Use Pursuit / U-turn on predicted switch ins, depending on whether you want to damage the Pokemon switching out or you want to pressure the incoming threat with one of your teammates.
- Sucker Punch should be used to revenge kill would be sweepers such as Aurumoth and finish off weakened foes. Bear in mind that unless Colossoil has been poisoned or burned, its Sucker Punch will be noticeable weaker than the ones from the Flame Orb set.

Team Options
========
- [Assault Vest Colossoil works well with Pokemon such as] Jumbao that appreciate the pressure Colossoil can put on Mollux and Heatran, in return, Jumbao can keep Colossoil healthy via Wish and check Water types such as Ash-Greninja. I dislike how section in brackets is worded, makes it seem like you are going to talk about more than one mon, but you just talk about Bao.
-Pokemon that are threatened by Psychic-Types, like Tomohawk, Toxapex, Arghonaut and Mega Crucibelle, are good partners too, because Colossoil can remove most of them with Pursuit.
-Fairy-types like Tapu Lele and Magearna appreciate Colossoil weakening Heatran, and can check Fighting types like Tomohawk and Arghonaut.
-Flying-types pair very well with this set, as they appreciate Colossoil providing a valuable Electric-immunity for them. Offensively, Tornadus-T is a great option, capable of threatening Tomohawk with its powerful Hurricane. Defensively, Zapdos, Tomohawk, Celesteela are good pick, as the first too two cover Colossoil Fighting-type weakness, while the latter provides a valuable Fairy-type resistance.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

-A Choice Scarf set can be used, to give Colossoil a much better match-up against faster threats like Mega Crucibelle and Tapu Koko. It also provide valuable speed control for the rest of the team, and can even revenge kill Cawmodore with Foul Play after it uses Belly Drum, as a boosted Bullet Punch fails to KO from full health.
- Leftovers can be substituted over Assault Vest, this allows the usage of moves like Encore, which punishes hazard setters, set up sweepers, recovery moves, and has notable synergy with Pursuit, Taunt, which can prevent hazard setters such as Ferrothorn from setting up and works well with Rebound since you can Taunt after a Rebound to keep hazards off the field, and Toxic which cripples bulky threats like Tomohawk and Jumbao.
- Fire Fang can be used to better deal with Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn, but has little use otherwise and its hard to fit on a set.
- Flynium-Z and Bounce can be used to get the drop on [Jumbao/Arghonaut/Tangrowth/Mega Venusaur] Fix the formatting here. You won't be able to beat a Tomohawk from full even with this move, sadly.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Tomohawk**: Defensive Tomohawk can switch into anything but Facade with impunity, and then use Colossoil to set up Stealth Rock or Rapid Spin safely.

**Landorus-T**: Defensive Landorus-T can switch into Colossoil several times and either threaten it out with Earthquake or use it to set up Stealth Rocks or Defog. Scarf and Z Crystal variants can also check Colossoil, but they must be weary of switching into Facade. Scarf also has to watch out for Knock Off since its a 2HKO with Sucker Punch after Stealth Rock if Guts is activated.

**Bulky Grass-types**: Tapu Bulu, Jumbao, and Ferrothorn can all switch into the Assault Vest set with impunity and threaten to OHKO with their super effective STAB moves. Ferrothorn can't switch into the Guts set but can beat it 1v1 with Power Whip, and both Jumbao and Tapu Bulu can tank any attack aside form Facade. Can't switch into Guts boosted anything safely but Kart can OHKO with Leaf Blade.

**Defensive Steel-types**: Skarmory, Celesteela, and Mega Scizor can all switch into Assault Vest Colossoil safely and threaten it out. However, Celesteela takes a lot of damage from a Guts boosted Knock Off and hates losing its Leftovers and Mega Scizor is 2HKOed by a Guts boosted Earthquake.

**Water-types**: Arghonaut can switch into a resisted STAB move and threaten Colossoil out , however, it is 2HKOed by a Guts-boosted Earthquake. Offensive Water-types such as Keldeo, both Greninja forms, and Volkraken outspeed and OHKO even Assault Vest sets after some prior damage, but must be wary of switching in.

Applied the above check, and will be writing this in the next few days. However, before moving on, I'd like to object one of the points made in the above check
I don't understand why you kept the Pursuit part. Yea, its good generally for Pursuit trapping stuff you check and catching mons on the switch, but this point is specifically about Tomohawk. Pursuit is doing jack all to Tomo, and Tomo is not switching out from you since you just revealed you don't have Facade

I strongly disagree with this. This point is not about what to do when fighting Tomohawk 1v1, it's about what to do when you expect your opponent to switch to Tomo. In this situation, using Pursuit is incredibly important, otherwise, you won't be able to achieve anything apart from removing Tomo's item, as it completely counters Colossoil without Facade, and even wearing it down is difficult because it resists all moves on a set using Pursuit. I'd like to ask other members of the QC team for their opinion about this before I make a change here. snake_rattler, Jordy, cbrevan

Applied the above check, and will be writing this in the next few days. However, before moving on, I'd like to object one of the points made in the above check

Alright, I agree with that defense. Looking back on it, I think it wasn't as clear as it could have been, since it was grouped with all of the other moves that was responding to already being in the presense of Tomohawk. You obviously don't Pursuit a leaving Tomo. Can you make another sentence about if the opponent is expected to switch to Tomo to use Pursuit for that extra damage?

Alright, I agree that section was ambiguous, so I changed to hopefully fix it:
If you're facing a Tomohawk, you can fully expect to see them switch in to help keep Colossoil's impact to a minimum. You can use this predictability to Knock Off their item on the first switch in, and then use Facade to deal severe damage to it or U-Turn to pivot into a teammate that can threaten it, or Pursuit to hit the Pokemon switching out. Pursuit is also incredibly useful here, because it can force the Pokemon switching out for Tomohawk to take severe damage.

Ok, with this, I've finished the writing, so unless someone has an objection, this analysis is ready for the final QC!

QC:

[OVERVIEW]

Colossoil is a powerful physical attacker who can function either as an hard hitting wallbreaker or a specially inclined tank. Guts turns Colossoil into a powerhouse, allowing it to break through even dedicated resists such as Tomohawk and Jumbao with Facade, while also giving Colossoil strong priority with Sucker Punch and a powerful Pursuit, which allows it to crack teams open with proper prediction. Its second ability, Rebound, bounces back status moves on the turn it switches in, which can prevent Hazards setters from setting up with the right prediction. Assault Vest sets also allow Colossoil to check most specially offensive Psychic, Ghost, and Electric types, and gives it the necessary bulk to switch in repeatedly through the game. However, because of all the options at its disposal, Colossoil can't fit everything it wants into its four moveslots, as it needs Earthquake and Knock Off, so it has to pick between Sucker Punch, Pursuit, Facade, and U-Turn. Mention how the Ghost-types of the metagame have pretty heavily adapted to Colo's presence, and mention competition with other pursuit trappers rn. Finally, Colossoil's middling speed combined with it's poor match up with common offensive threats in Hawlucha, Tapu Koko, Ash Greninja, and Jumbao means that Colossoil can struggle against offense, which is a match-up only salvaged by it's access to Sucker Punch.

Moves
========

Facade is the preferred choice on the last moveslot, as it provides Colossoil with a powerful neutral coverage move, allowing it to break through would be checks such as Tomohawk, Landorus-T, Tapu Bulu, and Jumbao with the right prediction. U-turn is an alternative to keep up momentum. Pursuit capitalizes on Colossoil's power to remove or heavily weaken Pokemon it often forces out, such as Pajantom, Heatran and Chansey.

Set Details
========

Flame Orb is the optimal item for an offensive set because it reliably activates Guts. Adamant is preferred for breaking through Landorus-T, Mega Scizor and Pyroak with greater ease. Jolly could be used to outspeed Aurumoth, Modest Volkraken and Adamant Zygarde; and speed tie with Tapu Lele, but the loss in power is noticeable.

Usage Tips
========

Colossoil is best used as a battering ram. What do you mean by battering ram? I'd rather you use more precise wording Get it in on something it can force out and start throwing out Guts boosted Knock Offs and Earthquakes to create holes in the opposing team. As Colossoil's power can force out many slower Pokemon, you can punish them through Pursuit or U-turn. If you're facing a Tomohawk, you can fully expect to see them switch in to help keep Colossoil's impact to a minimum. You can use this predictability to Knock Off their item on the first switch in, and then use Facade to deal severe damage to it or U-Turn to pivot into a teammate that can threaten it. Pursuit is also incredibly useful here, because it can force the Pokemon switching out for Tomohawk to take severe damage. It's also very important to have a good read on your opponent in case they try to play around Sucker Punch and Pursuit. Turn the tables on your opponent by using the threat of a Sucker Punch to force a switch, and then take a chunk out of the retreating Pokemon with Pursuit. Likewise, be aware of Pokemon that can play around Sucker Punch through entry hazards, set up moves, faster priority, and Substitute. might be nice to name off some of the more important once (I'm thinking CB clant, SS nect, etc.)

Team Options
========

Entry hazards are the name of the game with Colossoil, as Colossoil rapidly breaks down defensive cores after a layer of hazards. Pajantom, and Toxapex are notable Toxic Spike setters. Pajantom in particular has great synergy with Colossoil as it can trap and remove Tomohawk and Pyroak for Colossoil. Other offensive Ground-types, such as Landorus-T and Zygarde appreciate Colossoil's ability to wear down checks like Jumbao. In return, Landorus-T can potentially net a OHKO on Tomohawk with Supersonic SkyStrike, and Zygarde can Toxic it for Colossoil to easily break later. Powerful special attackers such as Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, Volkraken, and Magearna are good choices too, as they can pressure physically defensive walls such as Landorus-T and Tomohawk. Lastly, Volcarona, Volkraken, Mega Charizard Y, and other Pokemon that appreciate the removal of Mollux and Heatran form powerful offensive cores with Colossoil, as it can threaten them out and heavily damage them with Pursuit.

Moves
========

Pursuit works very well on this set, as Colossoil can capitalize on the improved bulk to better force out and punish threats like Heatran, Mega Latios, Pajantom, and Mollux. You still need to explain the difference between running Sucker Punch and U-turn, even if it's something along the lines of "Sucker Punch improves Colossoil's matchup against offensive teams, while U-turn lets Colossoil pivot out of defensive Tomohawk better" Rapid Spin is an option on this set, as the bulk provided by Assault Vest allows Colossoil to repeatedly come in to remove entry hazards, but be aware Colossoil has a bad match-up against common hazard setters and it's easily worn down.

Set Details
========

Assault Vest turns Colossoil into a bulky special tank that can serve as a check to Pokemon such as Krilowatt, Mega Latios, and Heatran. 144 Spe lets Colossoil outspeed Adamant Necturna. 160 SpD prevents Colossoil from being 2HKO by offensive Heatran's Magma Storm, Krilowatt's Ice Beam, and tanks an All-Out Pummeling from Aurumoth at +0. Guts is preferred to punish Heatran, Toxapex, and Pyroak for spamming Lava Plume/Scald, however, Rebound is an alternative option to help keep hazards off the field.

Usage Tips
========

Switch Colossoil into weak Special attackers who can't deal much damage to it, like Krilowatt and defensive Heatran, or on a predicted Scald/Lava Plume to try to activate Guts. If running Rebound, switch into predicted entry hazards instead. Early game, spam Knock Off to remove the items of whatever switches in. Use Pursuit or U-turn on predicted switch ins, depending on whether you want to damage the Pokemon switching out or you want to pressure the incoming threat with one of your teammates. Sucker Punch should be used to revenge kill would be sweepers such as Aurumoth and finish off weakened foes. Bear in mind that unless Colossoil has been poisoned or burned, its Sucker Punch will be noticeable weaker than the ones from the Flame Orb set.

Team Options
========

Assault Vest Colossoil works well Jumbao, which appreciate the pressure Colossoil can put on Mollux and Heatran. In return, Jumbao can keep Colossoil healthy via Wish and check Water types such as Ash-Greninja. Pokemon that are threatened by Psychic-Types, like Tomohawk, Toxapex, Arghonaut, and Mega Crucibelle are good partners too, because Colossoil can remove most of them with Pursuit. Fairy-types like Tapu Lele and Magearna appreciate Colossoil weakening Heatran and can check Fighting types like Tomohawk and Arghonaut. Finally, Flying-types pair very well with this set, as they appreciate Colossoil providing a valuable Electric-immunity for them. Offensively, Tornadus-T is a great option, capable of threatening Tomohawk with its powerful Hurricane. Defensively, Zapdos, Tomohawk, and Celesteela are good picks, as the first two cover Colossoil Fighting-type weakness while the latter provides a valuable Fairy-type resistance.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

A Choice Scarf set can be used to give Colossoil a much better match-up against faster threats like Mega Crucibelle and Tapu Koko. It also provide valuable speed control for the rest of the team and can even revenge kill Cawmodore with Foul Play after it uses Belly Drum, as a boosted Bullet Punch fails to KO from full health. Leftovers can be substituted over Assault Vest, this allows the usage of moves like Encore, which punishes hazard setters, set up sweepers, recovery moves, and has notable synergy with Pursuit, Taunt, which can prevent hazard setters such as Ferrothorn from setting up and works well with Rebound, since you can Taunt after a Rebound to keep hazards off the field, and Toxic which cripples bulky threats like Tomohawk and Jumbao. imo cutting that makes the long sentence much easier to stomach Fire Fang can be used to better deal with Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn, but has little use otherwise and its hard to fit on a set.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Tomohawk**: Defensive Tomohawk can switch into anything but Facade with impunity, and then use Colossoil to set up Stealth Rock or Rapid Spin safely. elaborate on the offensive sets some

**Landorus-T**: Defensive Landorus-T can switch into Colossoil several times and either threaten it out with Earthquake or use it to set up Stealth Rocks or Defog. Scarf and Z Crystal variants can also check Colossoil, but they must be weary "wary" of switching into Facade. Choice Scarf sets also have to watch out for Knock Off since its a 2HKO with Sucker Punch after Stealth Rock if Guts is activated.

**Grass-types**: Tapu Bulu, Jumbao, and Ferrothorn can all switch into the Assault Vest set with impunity and threaten to OHKO with their super effective STAB moves. Ferrothorn can't switch into the Guts set but can beat it 1v1 with Power Whip, and both Jumbao and Tapu Bulu can tank any attack aside form Facade. Kartana can't switch in easily, but can reliably revenge kill with Leaf Blade as long as its not in range for Sucker Punch.

**Defensive Steel-types**: Skarmory, Celesteela, and Mega Scizor can all switch into Assault Vest Colossoil safely and threaten it out. However, Celesteela takes a lot of damage from a Guts boosted Knock Off and hates losing its Leftovers, and Mega Scizor is 2HKOed by a Guts boosted Earthquake after Stealth Rock.

**Water-types**: Arghonaut can switch into a Dark-type resisted STAB move and threaten Colossoil out, however, it is 2HKOed by a Guts-boosted Earthquake. Offensive Water-types such as Keldeo, both Greninja forms, and Volkraken outspeed and OHKO even Assault Vest sets after some prior damage, but must be wary of switching in.

Probably would be nice to have a section for things like Tapu Lele and Mega Crucibelle that just force Colossoil out

Its second ability, Rebound, bounces back status moves on the turn it switches in, which can prevent Hazards Hazard setters from setting up (from setting up what?) with the right proper ("the right prediction" sounds kind of awkward, because it really depends on the situation the player finds itself in) prediction. Assault Vest sets (this makes the sentence sound awkward) also (you don't /really/ talk about assault vest sets before this so "also" seemed out of place) allow allows Colossoil to check most specially offensive Psychic-(AH), Ghost, (specially offensive ghost-types aren't relevant in the metagame) and Electric-(AH)types, (give some examples) and gives it the necessary bulk to switch in repeatedly through throughout the game. (i'll leave my suggested changes, but consider rewriting the whole sentence, because it doesn't really fit into the overview and instead sounds like something you'd say in set details) However, because of all the options at its disposal, Colossoil can't fit everything it wants into its four moveslots, as it needs Earthquake and Knock Off, so it has to pick between Sucker Punch, Pursuit, Facade, and U-turn. Finally, Colossoil faces competition as a Pursuit trapper from Weavile, (mega tyranitar is a lot more common now, so make sure to mention it as well as why colossoil competes with it) which has a an easier time revenge killing threats thanks to its higher speed Speed and doesn't need to play mind games with Necturna to beat it thanks to Ice Shard.

Usage Tips
========

Get Colossoil in on something Pokemon (like?) it can force out as soon as you can and start throwing out Guts-(AH)boosted Knock Offs and Earthquakes to create holes in the opposing team with Colossoil. (you aren't the one using Knock Off or Earthquake) As Thanks to Colossoil's power,(AC) it can force out many slower Pokemon,(RC) .(AP) you Colossoil can punish them through the use of Pursuit or U-turn. (explain why this matters specifically from colossoil, because any pokemon appreciates teammates that can wear down the opposing team) They can also give you opportunities to bring Colossoil in with U-turn. Pajantom,(RC) and Toxapex are notable Toxic Spike Toxic Spikes setters. Pajantom in particular has great synergy with Colossoil,(AC) as it can trap and remove Tomohawk and Pyroak for Colossoil. Other offensive Ground-types,(RC) such as Landorus-T and Zygarde appreciate Colossoil's ability to wear down checks like Jumbao. Pursuit works very well on this set, as Colossoil can capitalize on the improved bulk to better force out and punish threats like Heatran, Mega Latios, and Pajantom, and Mollux. (mollux is bad) Sucker Punch improves its Colossoil's matchup against faster offensive threats. (like?) On the other hand, U-turn allows you Colossoil to pivot out of disadvantageous situations. Rapid Spin is an option on this set, as because (repetition) the bulk provided by Assault Vest allows Colossoil to repeatedly more comfortably (technically colossoil can switch in repeatedly anyway, but thanks to assault vest, colossoil can do it more comfortably) come in to remove entry hazards, but be aware that Colossoil has a bad matchup against common most hazard setters (good match up against heatran, which is extremely prominent) and it's is easily worn down.

Set Details
========

Assault Vest turns Colossoil into a bulky special tank that can serve as a check to Pokemon such as Krilowatt, Mega Latios, and Heatran. 144 Spe Speed EVs lets Colossoil outspeed Adamant Necturna. 160 SpD Special Defense investment prevents Colossoil from being 2HKO 2HKOed by offensive Heatran's Magma Storm, Krilowatt's Ice Beam, and also (flows better) tanks an unboosted All-Out Pummeling from Aurumoth at +0. Guts is preferred to punish Heatran, Toxapex, and Pyroak for spamming Lava Plume or Scald,(RC) .(AP) however, However, Rebound is an alternative option to help to keep hazards off the field.

Usage Tips
========

Switch Colossoil into weak Special special attackers who can't deal much damage to it, like Krilowatt and defensive (defensive heatran isnt really a thing, specially defensive is though) Heatran, or on a predicted Scald/Lava Plume Scald or Lava Plume to try to and activate Guts. If running Rebound, Colossoil should attempt to switch into predicted entry hazards status moves instead. Early-(AH)game, Colossoil should aim to spam Knock Off to remove the items of whatever switches in. Use Pursuit or U-turn on predicted switch ins, depending on whether you want to damage the Pokemon switching out or if you want to pressure the incoming threat with one of your Colossoil's teammates. Sucker Punch should be used to revenge kill would be sweepers such as Aurumoth and finish off weakened foes. Bear in mind that,(AC) unless Colossoil has been poisoned or burned, its Sucker Punch will be noticeable noticeably weaker than the ones from the its Flame Orb set,(AC) which can reliably burn themselves.

Team Options
========

Assault Vest Colossoil works well Jumbao, which appreciate appreciates the pressure that Colossoil can put on Mollux and (bad pokemon) Heatran. In return, Jumbao can keep Colossoil healthy via Wish and check Water-(AH)types such as Ash-Greninja. Pokemon that are threatened by Psychic-Types types, like Tomohawk, Toxapex, Arghonaut, and Mega Crucibelle are good partners too, because Colossoil can remove most of them Psychic-types with the combined pressure of Sucker Punch and Pursuit. Fairy-types like Tapu Lele and Magearna appreciate Colossoil'(add apostrophe)s ability to weakening pressure Heatran and can check Fighting-(AH)types like Tomohawk and Arghonaut. Finally, Flying-types pair very well with this set, as they appreciate Colossoil providing a valuable Electric-(RH)immunity for them. (give fairy-type resists in general a dedicated bullet)

A Choice Scarf set can be used to give Colossoil a much better match-(RH) up against faster threats like Mega Crucibelle and Tapu Koko. Leftovers can be substituted over Assault Vest, this allows the usage of moves like Encore, which punishes hazard setters, set up sweepers, recovery moves, and has notable synergy with Pursuit, Taunt, which can prevent hazard setters such as Ferrothorn from setting up and works well with Rebound, and Toxic which cripples bulky threats like Tomohawk and Jumbao. Fire Fang can be used to better deal with Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn, but has little use otherwise and its hard to fit on a set. (unviable things)

Checks and Counters
===================

**Tomohawk**: Defensive Tomohawk can switch into anything but Facade with impunity, and then use Colossoil to set up Stealth Rock or Rapid Spin safely. (it also minds knock off) Offensive variants are easier to wear down, but can outspeed Adamant Colossoil and KO it with Focus Blast.

**Landorus-T**: Defensive Landorus-T can switch into Colossoil several times and either threaten it out with Earthquake or use it to set up Stealth Rocks or Defog. Choice Scarf and Z-(AH)Crystal variants can also check Colossoil, but they must be wary of switching into Facade. Choice Scarf sets also have to watch out for Knock Off since,(AC) because it's a 2HKO with Sucker Punch after Stealth Rock if Guts is activated.

**Grass-types**: Tapu Bulu, Jumbao, and Ferrothorn Jumbao and Tapu Bulu can all (sounds weird with only 2 examples) switch into the Assault Vest set with impunity and threaten to OHKO with their super effective STAB moves. (jumbao doesnt actually ohko av variants) Ferrothorn can't switch into the Guts set but can beat it 1v1 with Power Whip, and both Jumbao and Tapu Bulu can tank any attack aside form Facade. They can also tank any attack aside from Guts-boosted Facade with relative ease. Kartana and Caribolt can't switch in easily, but can reliably revenge kill with their Grass-type moves as long as they are not in range for Sucker Punch. (ferrothorn really doesnt want to get its item to be removed by knock off and is very easy to chip down, remove it)

(they're all just far too situational as colossoil answers, so they should be removed)

**Water-types**: Arghonaut can switch into a Dark-type move and threaten Colossoil out, however, it is 2HKOed by a Guts-boosted Earthquake. Snaelstrom can switch into Assault Vest sets once its Toxic Orb has been activated and deals severe damage with U-turn or Leech Life. However, it doesn't like taking a Guts-boosted Knock Off or Facade. Offensive Water-types such as Volkraken, both Greninja forms formes, and Keldeo outspeed and OHKO even Assault Vest sets after some prior damage, but must be wary of switching in.

**Faster attackers**: Due to its mediocre speed Speed, many offensive threats, such as Tapu Lele, Mega Crucibelle, and Tornadus-T are capable of forcing Colossoil out.

I'm sorry, but there's still quite a few QC things that should be implemented in here. This isn't an official GP check, so implement whatever you agree with(implement all the QC comments though).

Sorry this took me so long and merry Christmas! I've applied the QC comments and did most of the basic GP corrections. I'll wait for an official GP check before I implement the rest. Additionally I've made a few edits myself:

-Dropped Tomohawk and added Mega Diancie on the Stealth Rock section of FO teammates.
-Mention M-Alakazam on FO teammates as another special wallbreaker.
-Mentioned Mega Tyranitar, in addition to Heatran, as a Stealth Rock user which Colossoil has a good matchup against on AV moves.
-Added paralysis to the list of status which benefit Colossoil on AV usage tips, because things like Static and Glare can still affect Colossoil.
-Redid AV teammates, because I didn't like how Fairy-type resists fitted in the old version and it was also a bit redundant, as both Flying- and Fairy-types could be classified better as "Pokemon that threaten Tomohawk and Arghonaut" which would also include Psychic-types, which pair just as well with Colossoil for the same reasons.
-Slightly shortened Grass-type checks to make it more concise.
-Removed Keldeo from Water-types checks because its bad.

Get Colossoil in on Pokemon it can force out like Heatran, Magearna, Aurumoth, (AC) and or Mega Tyranitar as soon as you can and start throwing out Guts-(AH)boosted Knock Offs and Earthquakes to create holes in the opposing team. As Colossoil's power can force out many slower Pokemon, Colossoil can punish them through Pursuit or U-turn. If you're facing a Tomohawk, you can fully expect to see them switch in to keep Colossoil's impact to a minimum. You can use this predictability to remove its item with Knock Off their item on the first switch-(AH)in, (RC) and then use Facade to deal severe damage to it or U-turn to pivot into a teammate that can threaten it. Pursuit is also incredibly useful here, because it can force the Pokemon switching out for into Tomohawk to take severe damage. It's also very important to have a good read on your opponent in case they try to play around Sucker Punch and Pursuit. Turn the tables on your opponent by using the threat of a Sucker Punch to force a switch, and then take a chunk out of the retreating Pokemon with Pursuit. Likewise, be aware of Pokemon such as Greninja, Shell Smash Necturna, and Choice Band Syclant, which can play around Sucker Punch through entry hazards, set up setup moves, faster priority, or Substitute.

Team Options

Entry hazards are the name of the game with Colossoil, as Colossoil it rapidly breaks down defensive cores after a layer of hazards. Pajantom and Toxapex are notable Toxic Spikes setters. (are tspikes relevant for this mon? not really talked about after this or explained how they're useful) Pajantom in particular has great synergy with Colossoil, as it can trap and remove Tomohawk and Pyroak for Colossoil. Other offensive Ground-types, such as Landorus-T, (AC) appreciate Colossoil's ability to wear down checks like Jumbao. In return, Landorus-T can potentially net an OHKO on Tomohawk with Supersonic Skystrike. Powerful special attackers such as Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, Volkraken, Mega Alakazam, (AC) and Magearna are good choices too, as they can pressure physically defensive walls such as Landorus-T and Tomohawk.

Rapid Spin is an option on this set, as the bulk provided by Assault Vest allows Colossoil to repeatedly come in to remove entry hazards, but be aware that despite its good match up matchup against Heatran, Chansey, and Mega Tyranitar, Colossoil doesn't fare well against most other hazard setters and is easily worn down.

Set Details
========

Assault Vest turns Colossoil into a bulky special tank that can serve as a check to Pokemon such as Krilowatt, Mega Latios, and Heatran. 144 Speed EVs let lets Colossoil outspeed Adamant Necturna. 160 SpD prevents Special Defense EVs prevent Colossoil from being 2HKOed by offensive Heatran's Magma Storm, (RC) and Krilowatt's Ice Beam, and the investment also lets it tank All-Out Pummeling from Aurumoth at +0. Guts is preferred to punish Heatran, (RC) and Toxapex, and Pyroak ("u could just straight up delete it because lol pyroak" -jordy) for spamming Lava Plume or Scald; (semicolon) however, Rebound is an alternative option to help to keep hazards off the field.

Usage Tips
========

Switch Colossoil into weak special attackers who that can't deal much damage to it, (RC) like Krilowatt and specially defensive Heatran, (RC) or on a predicted Scald or Lava Plume to try to activate Guts. If running Rebound, switch into predicted status moves instead. Early-game, spam Knock Off to remove the items of whatever switches in. Use Pursuit or U-turn on predicted switches ins, depending on whether you want to damage the Pokemon switching out or you want to pressure the incoming threat with one of your teammates. Sucker Punch should be used to revenge kill sweepers such as Aurumoth and finish off weakened foes. Bear in mind that unless Colossoil has been poisoned, burned, or paralyzed, its Sucker Punch will be noticeably weaker than the ones from the Flame Orb set. (you shouldn't really cross reference sets but not sure if cap is the exception)

Team Options
========

Assault Vest Colossoil works well with Jumbao, which appreciates the pressure Colossoil can put on Heatran. In return, Jumbao can keep Colossoil healthy via Wish and check Water types such as Ash-Greninja. Pokemon that are threatened by Psychic-types, like such as Tomohawk, Toxapex, Arghonaut, and Mega Crucibelle are good partners too, (RC) because Colossoil can remove most of Psychic-types with the combined pressure of Sucker Punch and Pursuit. Pokemon that can take advantage of Tomohawk and Arghonaut, like Tornadus-T, Mega Alakazam, Magearna, and Tapu Lele are necessary, (RC) because this set doesn't have the strength to break past them. The last two in particular also greatly benefit from Colossoil pressuring Heatran. Finally, Fairy-type resists Fairy-resistant Pokemon such as Heatran, Celesteela, Ferrothorn, and the aforementioned Mega Crucibelle and Magearna are very important teammates too, as they can take attacks like Moonblast from Jumbao, Tapu Lele, or and Mega Diancie with relative ease.

Other Options
=============

A Choice Scarf set can be used to give Colossoil a much better match-up matchup against faster threats like Mega Crucibelle and Tapu Koko. It also provides a valuable way to check faster Pokemon speed control (or change to something meta relevant but scarf =/= speed control) and can revenge kill Cawmodore with Foul Play after it uses Belly Drum, as a boosted Bullet Punch fails to KO from full health.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Tomohawk**: Defensive Tomohawk can switch into anything but Facade with impunity, (RC) and then use Colossoil to set up Stealth Rock or Rapid Spin safely, although it dislikes losing its item. Offensive sets (?) are easier to wear down, (RC) but can outspeed Adamant Colossoil and KO it with Focus Blast.

**Landorus-T**: Defensive Landorus-T can switch into Colossoil several times and either threaten it out with Earthquake or use it to set up Stealth Rocks Rock or use Defog. Choice Scarf and Z-Crystal variants can also check Colossoil, but they must be wary of switching into Facade. Choice Scarf sets also have to watch out for Knock Off, (AC) since it's a 2HKO with Sucker Punch after Stealth Rock if Guts is activated.

**Grass-types**: Jumbao and Tapu Bulu can tank any attack aside from Guts-boosted Facade with relative ease and force Colossoil out with their super effective STAB moves. Kartana and Caribolt can't switch in easily, (RC) but can reliably revenge kill with their Grass-type STAB moves as long as they are not in range for of Sucker Punch.

**Water-types**: Arghonaut can switch into a Dark-type move and threaten Colossoil out; (semicolon) however, it is 2HKOed by a Guts-boosted Earthquake. Snaelstrom can switch into Assault Vest sets once its Toxic Orb has been activated and deals severe damage with U-turn or Leech Life. However, it doesn't like taking a Guts-boosted Knock Off or Facade. Offensive Water-types such as Volkraken and both Greninja formes outspeed and OHKO even Assault Vest sets after some prior damage, (RC) but must be wary of switching in.

**Faster Attackers**: Due to its mediocre Speed, many offensive threats, such as Tapu Lele, Mega Crucibelle, and Tornadus-T, (AC) are capable of forcing Colossoil out.

Implemented and ready for a second check. Simply removed the part about Toxic Spikes because they are too situational and deleted the cross reference on the Assault Vest set too.

[OVERVIEW]

Colossoil is a powerful physical attacker that can function either as either a hard-hitting wallbreaker or a specially inclined tank. Its second ability, Rebound, bounces back status moves on the turn it switches in, which can prevent entry hazard setters hazards from setting being set up with the right prediction. Finally, Colossoil faces competition as a Pursuit trapper from Weavile and Mega Tyranitar, as the former has an easier time revenge killing threats thanks to its higher Speed and doesn't need to play mind games with Necturna to beat it thanks to Ice Shard, (AC) while the latter has a better matchup against Tornadus-T and also serves as a solid Stealth Rock setter.

Moves

Facade is the preferred choice in the last moveslot, as it provides Colossoil with a powerful neutral coverage move, allowing it to break through would-be checks such as Tomohawk, Landorus-T, and Jumbao with the right prediction. U-turn is an alternative to keep up momentum. Pursuit capitalizes on Colossoil's power to remove or heavily weaken Pokemon it often forces out, such as Pajantom, Heatran, and Chansey.

Set Details

Flame Orb is the optimal item for an offensive set, because it reliably activates Guts. An Adamant nature is preferred for breaking through Landorus-T, Mega Scizor, and Pyroak with greater ease. However, Jolly can be used to outspeed Aurumoth and Modest Volkraken, as well as Speed tie with Tapu Lele, but the loss in power is noticeable.
