Combination of Fast and Slow FT SD Cacturne

Hey this is my first RMT and I'd like to introduce a team that has been tested and tested and tested again, until it finally reached it's max potential. This NU team isn't standard although it does feature some standard NU Pokes but what really sets it apart is it's unsuspecting sets that these Pokemon Run. And I'll explain it all here in my first RMT.

1st Step:
I knew I needed something, something to wrap this team around and then I realized, Specs Haunter would be the choice. But after a few test I realized that It didn't have the speed necessary (Even with Appropriate Natures) to outspeed Choice Jynx. So the only thing that could give me that boost was the Choice Scarf.

2nd Step:
Now I knew I need a wall because the only things that would completely be able to destroy Haunter were either really gifted Physically or Special Attackers in general (Jynx, Gardevoir, etc) so with that being said I needed a Wall that could hit back but take a hit as well, there's only a couple of Pokemon in NU that can do that and one of them happens to be Rotom. Which one you ask? Fan Forme is the best forme IMO so I picked that one.

3rd Step:
Next I needed something that is Physically a tank but is also fast. I need it to be fast so I can setup rocks with it and also Recover fast so I knew from the start that Miltank was a good choice. Making it with mixed EVs actually helps as well because Body Slam can do neutral damage to Specially Defensive Probopass. Miltank was an easy Choice from the beginning.

4th Step:
Probopass...didn't I just mention that name. Well that "name" is arguably the best NU Wall by far! With it's base 145 Defense and base 150 Special Defensive the only thing this thing can't take a Specs Focus Blast from Electabuzz which only hits for about 95% with Max SPA investments. Probopass definitely isn't a joke and with the Thunder Wave helping my last two Pokemon this team really is the perfect combination of Speed and Slowness!

5th Step:
Now it's time to meet the hard hitters, I have my Special Attackers which are fast which means I can resort to the Slower but Heavy Armed Pokemon such as the one I am describing. I needed someone who could utilize the T-Wave setup by Probopass and use that Scarf to his advantage as well! So without a doubt I picked the Lone Wolf Fighter Heracross' and Pinsir's little brother, Primeape! This thing with the Scarf is really hard to defeat and if you're slower there's only a slight chance Primeape's move isn't a 2HKO.

6th Step:
Last but certainly not least is Cacturne! Cacturne is so good after something is T-Waved. I cannot explain to you how many times I have gotten a T-Wave off, switched in SD Cacturne and just lit em up for an easy mini sweep. Not only is Cacturne's Base 115 Attack no push over but it also has a Base 115 Special Attack with the Nasty Plot being the available setup! You have a lot of options because the only thing that's wrong with this thing is that it's slow. Cacturne for Ubers!

Threat List:
SS Gorebyss
368.gif

SS Gorebyss definitely is a threat simply because it's a threat to Probopass. If you can get a T-Wave off on it though it becomes another victim. But Hydro Pump x2, Surf x2 all of that x2 really is scray to the whole squad not just Probo.
Choice Scarf Gardevoir
282.gif

Scarfed Gardevoir definitely is a threat because I think it might outspeed Haunter and that alone poses a problem. If Cacturne is dead then you have to be on your A-Game or this thing will sweep along with the other pokemon on your team. Be alert against this thing.
Scarfed/Specs Jynx
124.gif

Those two sets mentioned above really do pose threats simply because they're fast and their movesets and speed stats allow them to put in a lot of damage. Jynx is no exception with Base 95 Speed and it's Above Average 115 Special Attack and not to mention being able to take hits with that Base 95 Special Defense, Haunter is actually pretty scared of this thing! It is literally too good.

Past Substitutions:
Flying Gem Boosted Unfezant
521.gif

Didn't work because it didn't have the necessary power to facilitate with the team.
SD/Substitute Leafeon
470.gif

The Synergy didn't fit well with this also, at some moments couldn't take hits from certain pokemon that barely had power.
SD/Substitute Leavanny
542.gif

Lacked the necessary tools such as defense to corporate with the team it also had countless weaknesses but could also hit a variety of things.
Focus Sashed Kadabra
064.gif

Kadabra was and is WAYYY too frail. Things just could kill this thing like a Mienshao minus the Physical Power.
Choice Band/Life Orb Mightyena
262.gif

Lacks the necessary power and defense in order to defeat pokemon that were frail and easy to kill.

Welcome to Smogon! I suggest you read the rules, as they ask you to post descriptions of each of your Pokemon. Right now, you can simply move the first few parts of your post to the corresponding Pokemon on your team to act as a description. Still, to actually give raters insight on the way your team works, I suggest you explain things such as: why you chose a Pokemon/set/EV spread/odd move/ etc., what your main win condition is, what kind of playstyle do you play this team as, your experiences with the team, and many other details. The more you write, the more helpful it will be to prospective raters.

You kinda need to have more of an explanation for your pokes :I. Also being weak to jynx in this meta is a no-no. Jynx is a HUUUUGE threat that you need to prepare for. another big threat that you didn't list is primeape, who can 2HKO/OHKO the majority of your team so as a check to both, i'd suggest a Utility Grumpig>Probopass.
grumpig.gif

he can sponge jynx's attacks and break it's sub with p-shock. You COULD use psychic, but psyshock is better in your case heal bell and whirlwind are for support obviously and the last lost could be used by 1 of 2 moves. Taunt shuts down slower walls who are slower than grumpy over here, forcing them to use pitiful attacking stats usually. T-wave has that support you raved on about in probopass's case, but grumpig uses it better imo. Hope this helped! Also Grumpig roolz
