Comics, anyone?

Concurring with earlier posters that Sandman and Transmetropolitan are amazing and anyone that has not read them is lesser for it >:I also the stuff from the OP

I also liked Preacher by Garth Ennis (I'll have to look up the boys, sounds interesting). I don't read a lot of DCU except for a few choice Batman books (like The Killing Joke and The Dark Knight Returns), but I'm actually pretty intrigued by what I read of the Blackest Night/Brightest Day stuff on a whim, so I might have to start reading more DC. Hmmm.

(also are we allowed to mention webcomics? cause I'm currently in love with FreakAngels, by the earlier mentioned Warren Ellis. That guy is a god among men.)

USM is still one of the best books out there. Probably the most consistent book in the last 10 years.
I was being a bit strict with that "up until issue 70" comment I guess. I think I read until 110 (that's where my torrent ended, hah) and I enjoyed it until that clone arc. Reminded me of that horrible clone arc at the end of Spider-Man TAS (the 90s one). Ugh.

I need to get around to reading some Moore stuff and I guess maybe Scott Pilgrim. A lot of people ask me for opinions and I have to be like "I'm not a good 'nerd', I haven't read them."

Blackest Night/Brightest Day/ect. basically anything Geoff Johns is writing I dislike. IMO he doesn't know how to write heroes, but writes good villains.

People should read We3, especially if you give a fuck about animal rights.
