Ambipom (M) @ Silk Scarf
Ability: Technician
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Fake Out
- U-turn
- Taunt
- Return
---The main idea with Ambipom is obviously Fake Out, but then i have a choice. Taunt if i know for sure there gunna try and set up or status me, U-turn if i know i cant KO them and usually switch to either Donphan or Milotic, finally if I'm quicker and i know i can KO them i use return. Ambipom usually does well in the game and is a real center point to the team.
Donphan (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 120 HP/252 Atk/136 Def
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock
---Donphan can take physical hits well, i usually try and set up the SR early in the game thx to the U-turn from Ambipom. Rapid spin is there genrally to counter other SR, Spikes or TS users. Earthquake for covrage and Ice Shard because of his high attack stat and the EV's i've invested in it enables me to 2HKO most dragons.
Weavile (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 42 HP/252 Atk/216 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Pursuit
- Ice Punch
- Brick Break
- Night Slash/ X-scissor
--- Weavile is here because he counters the main weeknes in my team Gengar. Pursuit is to deal with the fragile pyschic types who try and flee, I chose Ice Punch over Ice Shard because Weavile outspeeds most attackers in the game so i don't think he really needs Ice Shard. Brick Break for covrage and Blissey, Night Slash because of it's STAB and high critical hit ratio. Considering X-scissor to counter another weakness to my team, Ludicolo.
Milotic (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Marvel Scale
EVs: 124 HP/252 Def/132 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Hypnosis
- Recover
- Surf
- Ice Beam
---Milotic can take SpA hits. Hypnosis because it can make a pokemon completely useless and enables me to switch in a pokemon and take no damage appart from maybe SR, Recover to heal the damage taken from the switch in's. Surf for STAB and power, Ice Beam to hit dragons hard.
Gyarados (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 72 HP/252 Atk/184 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
--- This is pretty much a Standard DD Gyarados, once set up he can completely destroy a team. I usually try and get rid all electric pokemon before i begin to set up to avoid getting KO whilst setting up.
Electivire (M) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Motor Drive
EVs: 76 Atk/180 Spd/252 SAtk
Mild nature (+SAtk, -Def)
- Thunderbolt
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Cross Chop
---Electivire also helps the team because the is immune to electric attacks and because I have Gyarados and Milotic who have weaknesses to electric i can use it to speed up Electivire for some sweeping. I use Mixvire because it can catch people out and it can deal with physical and special walls with less difficulty. Thunderbolt for STAB, Flamethrower, HP Ice and Cross Chop for coverage.
Any suggestions for improving my team would be helpful, also if there is any noticeable weaknesses to the team could you point them out, and offer some suggestions on who could be replaced to cover that weakness.
