my friends at smogoff, it's time that I come forward with a serious issue that I think needs addressing in our community: coppa dodging. in its simplest form, these are children age 12 and under pretending to be very obscure old ages, such as 49 or 121, that obviously would not be posting about why extreme eeveeboost eevee is being used on pokemon showdown.

my advice to these coppa dodgers: it is not worth it to rush to be able to post on smogoff. when you're my age, let alone the ages of some of the crusty brits around here, you will look on these posts of your's with great horror, absolutely shocked and disappointed that you did not give yourself more time to let your Posting mature. and more importantly, stay safe!!

If we made Smogoff the main site, we could argue that COPPA doesn't apply since this specific forum is only directed at teenagers and young adults with the maturity of children instead of actual children as Pokémon discussion would be only a sub-section of Smogoff.
