Surprised no one said this yet. Anyways, Dugtrio can basically do nothing to this Clefable. Also, Pidgeot's Hurricane cannot 2HKO Clefable barring a rare confuse hax (lol rare). Clef, can eat a hurricane, T-wave Pidgeot and render it practically useless. It can also set up CM's pretty freely on this core at almost any time. Hyper Beam will do more than half to an unboosted but the turn of recharge will make it a useless move against Clef.
Relevant Calcs:
252 Atk Dugtrio Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 172 Def Clefable: 124-147 (31.4 - 37.3%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Mega Pidgeot Hurricane vs. 252 HP / 84+ SpD Clefable: 169-199 (42.8 - 50.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Mega Pidgeot Hyper Beam vs. 252 HP / 84+ SpD Clefable: 229-270 (58.1 - 68.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
Stone Edge deals 91.8 - 108.7 to Mega Pidgeot, a clean KO with SR on the field. Dugtrio is a free invitation for Landorus-T to switch in and has no business taking any of its attacks, being 2HKOed even by a resisted Stone Edge. Since Landorus-T can force both of these Pokemon to switch in fear, U-turn can be used to take advantage of this and gain some momentum on your side. Simple, common, and straight forward threat that threatens this core nicely!
Dragonite can survive any hit from the core because of Multiscale, cure Confusion with Lum Berry and set up a Dragon Dance to outpace both Pokemon. From there, Outrage OHKOes both Mega Pidgeot and Dugtrio. It can also threaten Dugtrio with a OHKO with ExtremeSpeed if it hasn't boosted.
Latios is able to Defog away hazards, helping Dugtrio keep its Focus Sash active for more effective trapping. SR removal is also something Mega Pidgeot greatly appreciates. Furthermore, Latios has a tendency to invite threats like Tyranitar and Heatran to switch in. This is extremely useful because Dugtrio is able to trap them both. With Heatran and Tyranitar removed from the picture, Mega Pidgeot has a much easier time threatening the opposing team. Latios generally enjoys the removal of the Pokemon Dugtrio tends to trap as well. Other additional benefits of Latios as a partner include handling the likes of Rotom-W, who is a big nuisance to the given core otherwise. The main downside to Latios as a partner is the added ice weakness, making threats like Weavile even more dangerous. As such, make sure the remaining three members can cover this issue well.
Kyurem-B threatens pretty much every Pokemon that opposes this core, including the likes of Rotom-W, Landorus-T, Dragonite, Gliscor, and Mega Manectric being able to wear all of them down with Ice Beam and Earth Power so it makes it easier for Pidgeot to break through them later on in the game. In terms of Dugtrio, it is able to beat bulky Grass-types if Pidgeot doesn't want to directly switch in (particularly Venusaur, Sludge Bomb does a lot on the switch). It also heavily damages Water-types such as Azumarill and Gyarados with Fusion Bolt. Sharing a Stealth Rock weakness with Pidgeot does really suck, but its sheer wallbreaking power and offensive typing supports the two pretty well enough to warrant being a teammate.
Clefable is a nice option to have on this team as it helps to check Weavile, Zapdos, Scarf Kyurem-B, Mega Aerodactyl and Mega Manectric while also being able to revenge Dragonite locked into Outrage. Clefable also loves Heatran getting trapped by Dugtrio and Scizor / Ferro getting defeated by Mega Pidgeot. Unaware is an option on Clefable to beat stat-uppers (such as opposing Clefable).
This core absolutely hates ice types, (some) steel types and status which Conkeldurr loves to take on. Most ice and steel types never want to take a drain punch or mach punch and Conkeldurr can switch-in to Will-O-Wisp and Toxic (such as from Rotom-W and Chansey) and then get the Guts boost from it. This set also runs Ice Punch and Poison Jab to take on Pokemon that would want to switch-in such as Landorus-T, Gliscor and Clefable. The main downside of using Conkeldurr is how match-up reliant it is and how many Pokemon in the OU metagame really don't care about Conkeldurr and can easily OHKO it.
rotom-w help very well this core, generates a volturn core mega Pidgeot, which helps Dugtrio and trap various tran, also puts a lot of offensive pressure forcing such a mega venu entering on rotom-w, SO entering safe with Pidgeot through volt switch :), I like ong the synergy of these 3 pokemon

MPidgeot and Dugtrio LOVE being paired with NP BP Celebi, because it allows Celebi to do things like BP NP boosts to MPidgeot late game to finish the game, or even stuff like Baton Pass into Dugtrio as your opponents try to go their Mpidgeot checks like Heatran or Tyranitar(MPidgeot U-Turn into Dugtrio also helps accomplish the same :P). Oh and the fact that Celebi sets up all over Rotom-W makes pairing Celebi with these two even better!
So yeah Sharpedo's job is to clean late game. Garchomp supports it by being a switch-in to physical attackers that might outspeed or revenge Sharpedo such as Talonflame. It also sets up Stealth Rock and can weaken the opposing team with Dragon Tail and Rocky Helmet stuff etc. Endure helps weaken Azumarill, SD helps lure Clefable.

M-Sharpedo's Poison Jab and TankChomp's SD may be able to lure in and 2HKO Clefable, but not if they're facing the Unaware wall set. With all that investment in physical bulk, Clefable is able to withstand any move from said core, avoiding the 2HKO on everything (Clefable's combination of Protect and Leftovers makes M-Sharpedo's Poison Jab a guaranteed 3HKO instead of having an itty bitty tiny chance of a 2HKO). Watch out for SR though as they greatly help M-Sharpedo on obtaining that precious 2HKO on Clefable, that is, if it were to carry Poison Jab (if not, then M-Sharpedo becomes Clefable's sushi). Also, due to sporting the infamous Unaware ability, Clefable ignores TankChomp's SDs (if it does have the move). Finally, Clefable can easily OHKO/2HKO the members of the core with Moonblast.
252+ Atk Mega Sharpedo Waterfall vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Clefable: 133-157 (33.8 - 39.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Mega Venusaur can survive a boosted Crunch from Mega Sharpedo and OHKO back with Giga Drain. It can also wear down Garchomp with Leech Seed and Giga Drain while healing up with Synthesis.
252+ Atk Strong Jaw Mega Sharpedo Crunch vs. 252 HP / 240+ Def Mega Venusaur: 144-169 (39.5 - 46.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

0 SpA Mega Venusaur Giga Drain vs. 240 HP / 0 SpD Garchomp: 109-130 (26.1 - 31.1%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
Keldeo is one of the best offensive checks to Mega Sharpedo, resisting both Crunch and Waterfall and is able to OHKO back with Secret Sword. As long as it doesn't have Zen Headbutt, Keldeo is free to switch in once. In emergencies, it's able to live one with no prior damage, but it does upwards of 80%, so scout for that before doing anything. Garchomp simply falls on its face in front of Keldeo, certainly not being able to switch in (Scald burns gg) and being OHKOed by Icy Wind after any prior damage. even with Earthquake damage, Crunch can't KO Keldeo with high rolls from that range without prior damage.
252 SpA Life Orb Keldeo Icy Wind vs. 252 HP / 76 SpD Garchomp: 328-390 (78 - 92.8%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock and 1 layer of Spikes

Thundurus (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Focus Blast
- Thunder Wave
Thundurus is something that this core will have to get around in order to function. Sharpedo may be able to outspeed at +1, but it can't stop Thunder Wave, which forces it out or paralyzes it. This prevents Sharpedo from trying to sweep and/or Mega Evolve at all. Additionally, Thundurus can easily KO Sharpedo at neutral speeds with Thunderbolt (unlikely but possible). Garchomp is forced out or OHKOed by HP Ice.
252 SpA Life Orb Thundurus Hidden Power Ice vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Garchomp: 380-452 (90.4 - 107.6%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Life Orb Thundurus Thunderbolt vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Sharpedo: 530-624 (188.6 - 222%) -- guaranteed OHKO (lol)
Mega Gyarados after one dragon dance which can easily be obtained through either Sharpedo's protect (not to mention that Mega-Gyarados takes any of Sharpedo's attacks), Garchomp's stealth rock or earthquake prediction or on a switch. After one Dragon Dance, Gyarados uses either Earthquake (versus Sharpedo) or Ice Fang (vs Garchomp) to have a chance to OHKO both of them.

Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 172 HP / 252 Atk / 84 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Play Rough
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
- Superpower
akimbo sharks have lots oof trouble with azumarill, most importantly band. Azu cant be ohkod by either and will return a kill with play rough. Poison jab sharpedo can take it out aftet minimal damage, but otherwise it needs to be weakened heavily before sharpedo can sweep.
Mega Altaria exploits the core's fairy weakness with Hyper Voice, killing Mega Sharpedo with ease while having a 62.5% chance to KO Garchomp (93.5 - 110.7%). While Modest is the more common nature, Timid with 180 Spe EVs gets the jump on Chomp and other threats like Bisharp. This means you can potentially kill Chomp before eating an Earthquake and being placed in range for Mega Sharp's Ice Fang or Poison Jab afterwards. Although Ice Fang (72.9 - 85.8%) and Poison Jab (60 - 70.9%) both do a large chunk, 76 HP Mega Altaria is able to survive each attack after SR and kill back. Avoid switching in directly though because the combination of one of its STABs + Ice Fang or Poison Jab will kiss you goodnight. Roost is important for healing purposes and can allow Mega Altaria to keep itself high enough on HP to avoid being KOed by Mega Sharp's coverage. DD is also threatening to this core and can be used over special variants.
This can trace speed boost from sharpedo and murder the core with hyper voice, pretty self-explanatory threat. Although it doesn't want to switch into sharpedo at all because of its low physical bulk.
Well surprise surprise I missed that we were supposed to start discussing partners 2 days ago. My bad guys. I've had a lot of things going on and increasing responsibilities on here so I've been spread rather thin. After this round of partners I'm going to call it a day and lock the thread, someone else can take it over since I haven't been doing a great job. When it's passed on, the new OP can contact me if they want to arrange anything for me to actually update / help update top 3 partners for the past however many weeks
This core struggles against most fairy types in the tier and Gengar is an offensive check to things like Mega-Gardevoir, Sylveon, Clefable, Mega-Altaria and Mega-Diancie (if you win the speed tie). Gengar doesn't enjoy switching in on too many things but can still provide excellent offensive coverage. Gengar also appreciates being able to switch to garchomp versus some of its main threats such as strong physical attackers and priority moves that aren't named Ice Shard. Mega Sharpedo may be able to revenge kill or set-up on select pursuit trappers such as Tyranitar, Weavile and varients of Bisharp that aren't running Low Kick. Sharpedo can switch-in on fast psychic-type pokemon and set-up on it (its kind of predictable but whatever.) such as Latis, CM Mega-Alakazam and Starmie.
Side Note Edit: If someone doesn't follow up the Mew->Celebi->Jirachi. posts with Manaphy. I'll be disappointed in all of you.
mew offers a light fighting check with its resist and WoW. spreading burns in general helps sharpedo set up as well as sweep later just because it doesnt quite have the stats to ohko stuff easily. gunk shot kills mega garde, 2hkos standard clef, and can handle unaware clef after you burn it. really just threatens fairies in general nicely. ice beam more reliably kills mega altaria and breloom, irritates thundy and torn, and also kills garchomp and lando if the chance comes up. the last spot could be a lot of things. i like volt switch since sharpedo really wants a free switch in when its ready to sweep; it completes boltbeam coverage, importantly damaging skarm and waters. it also can lure in grounds hoping to capitalize on a free switch, which just leads to them eating a burn or ice beam. plenty of coverage or utility moves could fit here though.
