The month has ended! Congrats to Dundies , I_Suck_At_Pokermon and DarkeKnight for getting the highest rank in their respective tiers! Please post your team so we know what you used!

Anyway, we're moving on to the next one. I've also decided to do this once per two weeks instead of once a month, because otherwise it dies out. Monotype and PU will get permanent challenges because of the larger userbase. I'll switch between STABmons, Tier Shift, Almost Any Ability and Balanced Hackmons for the other tiers. Monotype will get three cores, to be able to play with multiple types.

At first, I went weather based with the team. Chlorotran was ridiculously powerful but then all of a sudden, every team seemed to be carrying Flash Fire/Primordial Sea, so I switched to something else that I don't remember. After a bit I tried a sand team with levitran, sand stream Skarmory and Sand Rush Lando. It didn't work out too well since Primordial Sea/Desolate Land just stops sandstorm. Finally ended up using this team.

Skarmory @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Whirlwind
- Roost
- Defog

Standard Skarmory set. Flash Fire to annoy fire types since they never seem to carry any electric moves. Most Victini I see are either Scarfed or Banded, so I just need to predict right. Plus it can take a hit from most Gale Wings spam and Refrig users and use Whirlwind. Rocks are really fun since most GW/Refrig users take 25%.

Landorus-Therian @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Knock Off

This is my favourite Pokemon on the team. Nobody seems to expect Water Absorb on it, allowing me to Knock Off items a lot. Scarf is for speed since I don't really stay in with this much.

Heatran @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
- Earth Power
- Lava Plume
- Ancient Power
- Hidden Power [Ice]

This is a really fun set. Everyone seems to think that if Heatran isn't using Chlorophyll, it's using levitate. People never seem to use ground type attacks on it until they realize that I'm running Regenerator. I didn't really know what to do with it though. So I just send it in to prevent something from dying, have the opponent switch again, giving me a chance to switch in one of my attackers.

Volcarona @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 40 HP / 212 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Bug Buzz
- Fiery Dance
- Quiver Dance
- Giga Drain

This thing. Teams are utterly unprepared for this. I can't count the number of times I sent this out on a Chansey or something and just used Quiver Dance till it switched. It kinda destroys anything that it hits neutrally at +1. The only mons I had trouble with were GW users for obvious reasons, Victini which resists all my moves and still survives a +2 Fiery Dance in the sun and can OHKO with V-Create, Primordial Sea Genesect has a chance two 2HKO Volcarona at +1 while it can only 3HKO. Apart from those, I could sweep most teams once I set up, or sometimes even if I didn't.

Infernape @ Leftovers
Ability: Desolate Land
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Mach Punch
- Close Combat
- Flare Blitz
- Solar Beam

I just chose Infernape because 1) I love it, 2) Fighting type STAB. I actually chose this to stop Bisharp which just destroys my team. Mach Punch OHKOs IIRC. Plus it's fun switching this in on Primordial Sea users and even the occasional Crocune variants which use only Scald for attacking.

Chansey @ Eviolite
Ability: Magic Bounce
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 36 HP / 252 Def / 220 SpD
Bold Nature
- Heal Bell
- Wish
- Protect
- Toxic

Standard cleric set. Only regret is that in some battles I really wish I had Seismic Toss over Toxic, but Toxic has proved to be really useful.
Joining as CLC Bat.
