YAHALLO AND WELCOME TO THE CORONA PL III POWER RANKINGS
For the purposes of this exercise, I will be ranking subs over starts in the cases that the subs are, by my estimation, better players. I think that's the most fair way to rate the teams, since I assume that the better players will eventually partake in the tournament if necessary. z0m is easily one of the better Classic bo5 players in the tour. It would be a bit surprising to see him struggle, honestly. The player pool looks to be an absolute disgrace, and he has displayed proficiency in ADV and BW. I'm sure he can figure out the variance tiers; his GSC abilities are a bit more a question mark, but considering the level of competition he will have to go against, it would be rather shocking if he did poorly in that tier. In the Slam bo5, we have yeezyknows. He's pretty unproven on the big stage, but did have some decent showings that were torpedoed by poor luck in Snake. I'm not entirely sure how well he will do; I'm far more confident in Adaam, who I assume will play if necessary. As a former Grand Slam champion, I would expect him to fare pretty well against this lackluster player pool. They also have ODR, a player whom has yet to reveal whether or not he will live up to the hype on the big stage or simply be the next fraudmen. I have not consumed the ODR kool-aid, though, so I would rather see Adaam play. In Bo3, we have ima; as you all know, I have not yet consumed the ima kool-aid. That being said, he's probably a decent enough battler to have a relatively decent performance in this tour. blargh is the next player up, and I have bolded him quite a bit in the recent past. He generally has put up solid records on the big stage as of late, and I fully expect him to do well here. The next two slots are a bit of a disaster. There's really no evidence that either ayevon or jacob are competent battlers. I will take the liberty of flexing lax to one of these slots, since he's easily the best player on the team and is currently being wasted in randbats, probably of his own accord. He should obviously smash the competition.
In BW, we have Finchinator, who I'm sure many people were surprised to learn isn't a part of the Jerk. He will probably put in more efofrt than the majority of the players in this tournament, and he should smash the competition as well due to his relatively high skill level. In DPP, we have Dave, who has a terrible sheet record and is most likely crust LOL It's hard to have too much faith in him, but at the very least, he does almost certainly possess a solid amount of metagame knowledge. In the variance madhouse against a bunch of scrubs, he isn't the worst option in the world. In ADV, we have hellpowna, another player whom I have little to no faith in. undisputed, however, is on the bench, and he should farm should he be slotted into the lineup. The last two slots on the team aren't very inspiring. There's no reason to really beleive that Garay Oak is a competent GSC player; I'm not the biggest fan of HSA right now, either. He can probably do alright in the variance tier, I guess...
The given lineup isn't the greatest, but after optimizing the slots, it's clear that the Gerk has a formidable team.

Ah, yes, the mannat team. I've never been a Jytcampbell fan, so I don't really have any hopes for him, honestly. Luthier has displayed quite a bit of prowess in LC; he has yet to play the other lower tiers on the big stage, though. I'm a tad skeptical of him because of that, but I expect him to finish positive regardless off of his innate skill level. In Randbats, we have Leo...so yeah. In Bo3, we have Tace, who struggled quite a bit last SPL; I'm not the biggest believer in him right now. In SS, we have Insult, who exceeded all my expectations with a splendid showing in SPL XI, as well as a great OST run. He should obviously be expected to farm. Another player whose stock increased during SPL was suapah, who had one of the best early-season runs I've ever seen. He fell off a bit as the season progressed, but he's still a bit better than I thought. He should do fine. Next up we have Sjneider, another player who managed to have a solid SPL campaign, albeit with ABR's team support. I'm still not the biggest believer, but it would be foolish to expect him to do poorly here, especially against this level of competition. He will probably finish positive. In BW, we have Mannat, who has no experience on the big stage. He's probably competent enough to nab a few wins, but I can't endorse his ability to go positive or anything of the sort. In DPP, we have Laurel, someone who definitely has enough talent in the thinking gen to be in SPL. He should do fine. I have no idea if FMG is competent at ADV; he is a relatively solid player, though. His season could really go either way; I value experience quite a bit for the old gens. In GSC, we have Ricardo, who almost certainly is not a viable player, let alone in GSC LOL We also have Hayburner, another absolutely terrible player. Jesus. The subs are also nothing to write home about, so I'm just going to ignore all of them.
Overall, this team at least has some nice pieces. Many of their players are pretty damn sketchy, though.

I'm a relatively big Eo fan; he's surprisingly been better in the newer generations than in the older ones in recent memory, but He's obviously proficient at BW and DPP. As a complete Smogon boomer, I'm sure he's dabbled a bit in the other tiers as well; he should do pretty well. In the slam tiers, we have...Triangles? LOL? Well, you all know that I'm not a big Triangles fan, and I certainly am not going to predict him to do remotely well in lower tiers like LOL come on. xray displayed that he has some prowess in SS OU, and he's obviously an elite ORAS player. His SM play has been a bit of a disaster, though, which may hurt his chances of putting forth a splendid performance in this tour. I still expect him to do relatively well, though. In SS OU, we have Smogon's newest sensation, THE FAKE JAMVAD LOOL OML This man has been an absolute monster lately, tearing through Corona PL and, more importantly, smashing everyone on his way to the OST finals. He doesn't really have too many results on the big stage, but off of the skill displayed in his OST run, I expect him to go positive. In SM, we have Sacri', another player I have relatively high hopes for. I think he'll go positive as well. In ORAS, we have...COSINE180 SLKASKLKFL LOOOOOOL WHAT!! There's no way this man is playing a game LOL I mean, I have no choice but to be skeptical here, since he's almost certainly crust. He has proven that he can smash the competition when he puts his mind to it, though. Despite that, there's no way I'm going against the crust rule here.
I decided to optimize the old gens, which significantly improves my outlook on this team. You all know that I bold dice every week, and he's definitely one of the best BW players in this whole tournament; he should demolish almost everyone. All three of these DPP options are viable; Void doesn't seem to be in the greatest thinking gen form, though. We all know that Fakes has difficulty scheduling as well, so it would be surprising to see him play many games in this tournament. Bab showed he wasn't complete crust with a nice SPL, but I'd need to see ab it more before I'm ready to have full confidence in him. Either way, this revolving cast of characters combined with Osgoode's support should eventually end up with a solid record in the variance madhouse. I don't know if Tama will play ADV, but I'll put him there anyway. I'm a pretty big Tamahome fan, so I think he'll do pretty well here. marcop is also an option for ADV should the team decide to put Tama in DPP; this version of the lineup should also work very well. M Dragon makes the most sense as a GSC player on this team, and he should easily obliterate the competition; like...it's M Dragon in GSC LOL They could also flex Eo to BW or something and put dice in Bo5; there's a lot of options. Anyway...lastly, Beds has displayed competency in RBY, and I expect him to finish with a decent record.
Overall, this is an absolutely elite team. The talent on this team is pretty overwhelming, and they are a strong contender for the title. The team is definitely a bit weaker with their submitted lineup, but they should make the playoffs pretty easily either way.

Welli0u has been on a crazy run on the sheet lately. I'm a bit more skeptical of his abilities in the older generations; he's clearly a force to be reckoned with the newer ones. Regardless, he has displayed quite a high amount of talent lately, and against a sub-par player pool, I expect him to do fairly well. Corazan finds himself in the Grand Slam bo5. He had a nice Snake draft, but he was pretty lucky from what I remember. I'll need to see a lot more to have a great deal of confidence in him, but he can probably do decently I guess. I didn't know Kickasser still existed LOOOL jesus. I'm definitely not a believer in him, but I suppose that he's at least been on the big stage before. I guess he can do fine. Cdumas was one of the biggest sheet warriors on the site before his disastrous SPL X. It would be foolish to expect him to struggle, though; I'm still a believer. I think he'll do pretty well. I'm not really a believer in Simia, or whoever the hell Adri is. Meridian is a relic of like 2015 so LOL The variance madhouse is occupied by a filler character, while ADV is occupied by a lower tier mainer? k3nan is absolute trash, and the RBY slot is occupied by a filler character...so yeah. They do have Kory I guess, but I don't really believe in him either.

mael does have a trophy, so I have to show him a bit of respect. I'm pretty dubious of his old gen prowess; he won't have to play too many elite players, though, so I suppose he can do fine. SANJAY is like ??? who knows. Jrdn might be competent, but I'm not a real believer yet; he also has no experience on the big stage in non-lower tiers. Xiri did well in Snake and is apparently pretty hyped as a lower tier player; that being said, I definitely am not trusting a random lower tier mainer to do well in SS OU LOL Optimally, Xiri would be in the Slam Bo5, where I would expect him to maybe do decently. frisoeva is a relatively hyped newer player who is coming off a decent SPL campaign; he will probably do fine as well. The rest of the people on this team are filler characters; shoutouts to my fellow CHICOAT and Kindaichi fan trace, though lol. The lone exception to this is SMB, one of the best Doubles players on the site. He should do fine in RBY based on what I saw from him in SPL, I guess.

Ah finally...THE JERK!!! ABR's easily the best bo5 player in the tour; it honestly might not be close. I'm obviously a big Star fan; he should pretty much smash everyone in this player pool like LOL From what I've seen, this slot's an absolute trainwreck. bro fist is another player who should pretty much demolish everyone; he's without question the best bo3 player in the tour, and that probably isn't close either. FLCL had a phenomenal SPL, and is pretty clearly one of the best SS OU players on the site right now. I was pretty skeptical of his ability to live up to his high price tag going into SPL, but his great season coupled with his generally solid level of skill relieved any doubts I had about his abilities here. teal has had back-to-back solid performances in the newer generations; with an amazing amount of team support, he should definitely go positive. blunder is obviously the best ORAS player in the tour, and SoulWind is the best BW player. They should obviously farm. august has nearly unmatched experience in the thinking gen, and he's put up solid results in the past. He should also do fairly well. I'm a bit more skeptical of TDK due to his recent struggles on the sheet; I think he's pretty competent at ADV, though, and did manage to beat M Dragon in ADV in a tiebreak in last year's World Cup. He also has amazing team support between CBB and McMeghan. Speaking of Roro, he's probably the best GSC player on the tour; he's arguably the best player ever, and he should annihilate pretty much everyone. Troller has smashed two SPLs in a row, and is pretty clearly the best RBYer on the site. It is still the variance tier, but the level of competition here is obviously much lower than it it is in SPL as well. The team also has lower tier specialists to flex into the Slam bo5, freeing up Star to play another tier. Tony and elodin are also nice options to fill in wherever. Malekith can spell august in DPP if necessary. The team also has CBB, who is currently slotted into Randbats. The optimal lineup would probably involve CBB playing ORAS and blunder playing SM, which would make this team even better.
Overall, this is clearly the best team. The star power here is absolutely absurd, and the squad has some nice options in relief as well.

The first three players are completely unaccomplished on the big stage, so I don't really have any reason to have faith in them; sayuze's infamous exploits against the Venusaur also make me a bit skeptical of his playing ability. I don't knwo if Empo is on the roster? Is he playing? LOL If he is, he could obviously salvage one of their slots and farm the competition. Sabella generally puts up pretty respectable records, so I expect him to do fairly decently. The only players worth mentioning that are left are Rewer, xtra, Kanto, and pasy_g. Rewer's definitely crust, like LOL I don't believe in him. I don't believe in xtra either, but maybe he can do something in the thinking gen. I'm a Kanto fan, but his GSC experience leaves much to be desired; I don't really know how well he'll do here. pasy at least had a nice SPL, so I guess he could salvage the ADV slot.

Overall, this team is ridiculously top heavy; most of the players are absolute garbage.

mael does have a trophy, so I have to show him a bit of respect.
Overall, this team's obviously garbage. We don't really need to go into it LOL They just BARELY avoided the cross off.

Durza had to scramble to create a lineup since half of his chat abandoned him for the Jerk. He managed to compile a roster of a bunch of filler characters; but, hey, at least the Derk is represented in the tournament. I don't know who is playing what here..sooooooo LOL I honestly can't really endorse any of these players to succeed. None of them are really accomplished on the big stage, especially not in OU. Their best player is emilio forbes, whose main tier isn't even in the tournament. I would be lying if I said I had a lot of faith in their ability to succeed.

Overall, this team is garbage.

lol. The Hallows might as well be a cross out; dude is terrible LOOL DID YOU WATCH SPL??? like really. meeps can probably do decently in the Slam bo5 against some random mainers / filler characters. Twixtry struggle mightily in the latest SPL, so I don't have too much faith in him. p2's performances on the big stage have left quite a bit to be desired, but he has done decently occasionally. I suppose he could grab a few wins in this tour. Blazenix avoids the cross out solely off of his artistic talent; I'm a big fan.
Obviously, this team's awful.
