[SET COMMENTS]

Corviknight is an incredible Defogger in OU; it has a solid matchup against entry hazard setters such as Clefable, Excadrill, and Ferrothorn, partly due to Pressure, allowing it to PP stall them. On top of that, it's one of the few good checks to Excadrill and Hatterene. Brave Bird is generally preferred to pressure Conkeldurr, Keldeo, and Kommo-o, but Iron Head can be run for Clefable, Kyurem, and Hatterene. Body Press enables Corviknight to consistently pressure Excadrill, but U-turn may be used along another Excadrill check like Dugtrio or Conkeldurr. Taunt is an option that can be run to deal with Bulk Up Corviknight and to prevent Pokemon such as Clefable and Ferrothorn from crippling Corviknight with Thunder Wave. The given EV spread allows Corviknight to 2HKO Excadrill with Body Press, and the rest of the EVs are put into Special Defense alongside a Careful nature to improve Corviknight's matchup against Pokemon like Clefable and Dragapult. If you're not running Body Press, you can pool the Defense EVs into Special Defense.

Corviknight fits best on bulky offense and balanced teams. Pokemon weak to Excadrill such as Clefable and Rotom-H benefit greatly from Corviknight's ability to check it. Corviknight can easily be taken advantage of by Electric-types like Rotom-H, Rotom-W, and Zeraora, so Pokemon that can take care of them like Seismitoad, Gastrodon, Hippowdon, and Kommo-o are useful teammates. Pokemon that are susceptible to entry hazards, such as Kyurem and Chandelure, benefit massively from Corviknight's ability to reliably remove entry hazards. If it's running U-turn, wallbreakers like Conkeldurr, Aegislash, and Hydreigon can capitalize off Corviknight's tendency to draw in Pokemon like Toxapex and opposing Corviknight.

[SET COMMENTS]

If it's not needed to function as an entry hazard remover, Corviknight can also make for a strong potential wincon with Bulk Up that still checks Pokemon like Excadrill and Clefable. Taunt is preferred to deal with Toxapex, Hippowdon, and opposing Corviknight, but Substitute can be used to avoid being burned by Toxapex, Seismitoad, and Gastrodon. It also allows Corviknight to force Rotom-H and Rotom-W to pivot out with Volt Switch, though Discharge variants can still prove to be annoying. Maximum Special Defense investment along with a Careful nature gives Corviknight the best possible matchup against Dragapult and Clefable.

Bulk Up Corviknight fits best onto balance and bulky offensive teams that already have another form of entry hazard removal. Pokemon such as Knock Off Clefable and Mandibuzz give Corviknight a much easier time in wearing down its checks. Clefable can also provide Corviknight with cleric support, making it much easier to play around Toxapex. Dugtrio is also notable because it can get rid of Toxapex. If it's running Focus Sash or Choice Scarf, it can get rid of Zeraora as well, which is great for Corviknight.

Would it be worth putting that 24 Attack EVs are required to OHKO 4 Def Hawlucha with BB in Set Details? I know that Hawlucha isn't great right now, but it might merit inclusion for certainty's sake.

24 Atk Corviknight Brave Bird vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Hawlucha: 300-354 (101 - 119.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

I don't see the point. Lucha still dies after rocks, and since it's using Close Combat, it'll be at -1 Defense anyway.

According to the December 1695 stats, Hawlucha runs a White Herb 29.6% of the time. This is followed by seeds which will probably fall in usage after people realized/have already realized that Indeedee and Pinurchin are wastes of a teamslot. I understand the objection since Hawlucha always dies to rocks and most don't run WH. The EVs are really meant to keep me from yelling at my computer after missing a favorable damage range.

  • Definitely mention Excadrill here too.
Brave Bird is generally prefered to pressure Conkeldurr, Keldeo, and Kommo-o, but Iron Head can be run for Clefable and Hatterene. Body Press enables Corviknight to consistently pressure Excadrill, but U-turn may be used along another Excadrill check like Dugtrio or Conkeldurr.
  • Talk about Kyurem too I suppose, that you'd want either Iron Head or Body Press to pressure it properly.
The given EV spread allows Corviknight to 2HKO Excadrill with Body Press, the rest of the EVs are put into Special Defense alongside a Careful nature to improve Corviknight's matchup against Pokemon like Clefable and Dragapult.
  • Should U-turn variants run Max SpDef then? If so, mention it.

Corviknight can easily be taken advantage of by Electric-types like Rotom-H, Rotom-W, and Dracozolt, so Pokemon that can take care of them like Seismitoad, Gastrodon, and Kommo-o are useful teammates.
  • I'd add Pokémon that appreciate a good Defogger as an ally, such as Kyurem and Zeraora.
Corviknight can easily be taken advantage of by Electric-types like Rotom-H, Rotom-W, and Dracozolt
  • I don't think Dracozolt is a very notable example, go with Zeraora I'd say.
Bulk Up
Taunt is prefered to deal with Toxapex and opposing Corviknight
  • I'd mention other Taunt users and Whirlwind Hippowdon as well.
The remaining EVs are pooled into Speed to deal with opposing Corviknight.
  • Isn't this Speed creep?
Dugtrio is also notable because it can get rid of Toxapex.
  • Maybe it's worth mentioning that Sash Dugtrio can be used to trap Zeraora as well? I'll leave this one up to you.
Great job here,

Substitute also avoids issues with Ditto. It also allows Corviknight to force Rotom-H and Rotom-W out with Volt Switch. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't Nasty Plot variants just beat it without Volt Switch? Hydro Pump breaks sub regardless, and there's also the potential Discharge. Maximum Special Defense investment along a Careful nature give Corviknight the best possible matchup against Dragapult and Clefable.

Corviknight fits best on bulky offense and balanced teams. Pokemon susceptible to Excadrill, such as Clefable and Rotom-H, (AC) benefit greatly from Corviknight's ability to check it. Corviknight can easily be taken advantage of by Electric-types like Rotom-H, Rotom-W, and Zeraora, so Pokemon that can take care of them like Seismitoad, Gastrodon, Hippowdon, and Kommo-o are useful teammates. If it's not needed to function as an entry hazard remover, Corviknight can also make for a strong potential wincon with Bulk Up (RC) while that still checking checks (mostly these changes are for flow purposes) Pokemon like Excadrill and Clefable. Taunt is prefered preferred to deal with Toxapex, Hippowdon, and opposing Corviknight, but Substitute can be used to avoid being burned by Toxapex, Seismitoad, and Gastrodon. It also allows Corviknight to force Rotom-H and Rotom-W to pivot (original wording made it seem like Corviknight was threatening them with Volt Switch and thus forced them out, which is untrue) out with Volt Switch, though Discharge variants can still prove to be annoying. Maximum Special Defense investment along with a Careful nature give gives Corviknight the best possible matchup against Dragapult and Clefable.
