If the eu wants any credibility, they should come out and state that Turkey will never join them. Otherwise Brexit seems like a better and better idea

this post is ridiculous, sorry
turkey has closed 1 of 37 required chapters to meet EU standards as a country (science and research). They have been regressing in others (like freedom of press and human rights), so it is ridiculous to even think about any hypothetical behaviour if they entered the EU.
Besides, if they *did* join the EU it would be because they cleaned up their act and the reasons for not wanting them would no longer apply...
