Shadow Tag isn't legal on Chandelure yet-and that set is more of a gimmick than anything else(Calm Mind lure wasn't great to begin with).

Chandelure @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Shadow Tag
EVs: 252 SDef / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Fire Blast
- Calm Mind
- Trick
My idea when I put this together is you switch in on a move that isn't going to hurt you like say close combat for example.. you use trick locking them in their move while theyre shadow tagged. calm mind sweep /profit?

Problem is that Shadow Tag is unreleased. Also, you'll want to shift those EV's into Special Attack -- increases in Special Defense really aren't going to help it much. Personally, I find a SubMind set with Lefties to be more effective as it blocks status and can help you scout in case your opponent isn't choiced.

I can't believe nobody's posted this yet...

Nidoking @ Life Orb
4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid, Sheer Force
-Stealth Rock
-Earth Power
-Ice Beam
-Focus Blast

Powers through the Special walls of the tier and hits everything it needs to. Earth Power is just a nuke, Focus Blast, well...blasts Snorlax, (D)Umbreon, and Porygon2 while Ice Beam freezes the Grass types and Flygon on the switch. Stealth Rock is good since Nidoking forces a lot of switches and can just kill Xatu if it wants to Magic Mirror the Rocks. The other Spinners besides Blastoise lose to Nidoboss as well, so Nidoking's hazards have a lot of staying power. Using Stealth Rock on Nidoking frees up a slot on the rest of the team, so this guy is a real team player too.

Sableye @ Life Orb
0 Att IVs (To minimize confusion effects)
252 hp, 128 Def, 128 SpD EVs
+SpD, -Att Nature
Prankster Ability
Taunt
Recover
Swagger
Foul Play

This Sableye is aggressive and hard-hitting, and makes a very good wallbreaker. It still has taunt, which is all-around nice vs. stall pokemon, while recover heals off damage, especially LO recoil. The swagger+foul play combo doubles foul play's power, while making your opponent confused and hitting itself hard when it's confused. LO and STAB combined nearly doubles the power of foul play, as a bonus.

EDIT: Silly me, I forgot to comment on the one above me!
I don't really see any drawbacks to that set, though the fact that every move gets a boost from sheer force won't be fun.
The set isn't very original, either, as it's basically taking one of the variants of Nidoking's special attacker set, and replacing sludge wave with stealth rock.

I'm iffy on anything relying on confusion hax that much. If they break out of confusion or are carrying a Lum Berry... Well, it'd work fantastically against me. Sableye has a 100% chance to cause my Pokemon to hurt themselves in confusion, so I guess there's that. Still, you're giving them a Swords Dance, and on stuff like Sharpedo that are already immensely difficult to stop, I'd hesitate to use this.

Honchkrow (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Moxie
EVs: 252 HP / 248 Atk / 8 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Brave Bird
- Sucker Punch
- Superpower

I got the inspiration to use Honchkrow from watching Kwandao Ren, and then I decided on a Sub set when I saw 'Krow could make 101 Substitutes. The moves are rather standard. Brave Bird -> Superpower is a guaranteed KO on 252/0 P2 after Rocks, and Moxie offsets the drop, leaving me at worst at neutral attack. The best part about Substitute is that it forces the opponent to attack (unless they carry Roar. Fuck you, Swampert), making it VERY easy for me to land a lot of Sucker Punches. Even better, I have perfect coverage between the three moves, though some walls like Bronzong give me trouble, easily sponging Sucker Punch and Superpower.

I know the speed EVs are weird, but I know I added four EVs because I was sick and tired of losing a particular speed tie. I have totally forgotten what that was. If anyone that has the speed tiers for UU, because they're still WIP, I'd be overjoyed if you could find what it was that sits at 179 and ease my paranoia.

I like this set and the 101 subs are very handy. My only problem with it is that if you use brave bird your taking recoil and superpower drops your stats so it is vital to get up a sub cause without it you wont last long even with all the hp evs.I also forsee trouble with slowbro because although you have a super effective move its still a slowbro.I also think the set needs to be paired with a rapid spinner or you will loose one of the subs you can make to rocks

Okay Heres Mine

Nidoking @ Life orb/Choice Band
Trait: Sheer Force
Evs:4Hp/252Atk/252Spd
Nature Jolly +Spd -SAtk

-Ice Punch
-Thunder Punch
-Fire Punch
-Poison Jab

Now that sheer force is legal with the punches this set is very usefull.Pair it up with a chandelure and it goes through teams .The effectiveness comes from the fact the when people see Nidoking they switch in the special wall and get wreaked and now with there special wall gone chandelure is free to do damage.Poison Jab gives you a alright STAB move to hit stuff with on the switch

I don't see the reason to use a Honchkrow with 101 HP subs wheb Seismic Toss is almost nonexistant in UU (the only 2 users, Registeel and Dusclops, are very bad in this metagame). Dropping the speed also means you are outspeed by pokemon like Offensive Empoleon, Togekiss or Bisharp, meaning Honchkrow will lose against them

Anyways, the set I'd like to introduce is a weird one, though effective nonetheless: Dual Screens...Raikou?
I've been wanting to use this for a while
though I thought HP grass would be better. but it might not be. I didn't give it a whole lot of thought as it doesn't matter much

Hitmonlee (M) @ Liechi Berry
Trait: Unburden
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Reversal
- Stone Edge
- Substitute
- Earthquake/Mach Punch
Sub down, get the liechi berry and unburden and then sweep lol

Why would I ever use that set over the standard special attacker?

the element of surprise. When people see a nidoking they will switch in there special wall and get take a hard physical hit then with there special wall.Max Special defensive roeserade is OHKO with a fire/ice punch and life orb and now they have lost there special wall.

@Asterat why no high jump kick ??There really is no need for mach punch if your unburden is active

okay here we go with an old favorite of mine from forth gen

Suicune @ Choice Specs
Trait Pressure
Evs 4/0/0/252/0/252
Nature Timid

-Hydro Pump
-Ice Beam
-HP Electric
-Shadow Ball/Extrasensory

Eh I'd rather use Calm Mind Suicune over that set. Suicune is much better as a bulky sweeper-and frankly Kingdra is a much better specs abuser because of his dragon typing. Also, the fourth move is really unnecessary-seeing as Hydro Pump does more than a super effective shadow ball or Extrasensory. Sleep Talk would be a better option, as the other three moves provide perfect coverage(even though sleep is really rare-although Amoonguss makes a decent Suicune counter and that always carries Spore.

i never thought of that thanks very good point and idea :)

What? Nidoking's special coverage is good enough to beat almost every special wall in the tier... including Roserade. The element of surprise is worth ~nothing when the set in question is thoroughly inferior to its alternative.

This set is creative I'm pretty sure because it's not shown up on the Smogon strategy Poledex. So here it is:

Crobat@Black Sludge
Ability Inner Focus
Evs 252 hp 252 def 4 spD
Nature Bold
Giga Drain/sludge bomb
Roost
Super Fang
Haze

This set acts as a physical wall and sweep stopper. Roost is its recovery move and it works great for it of course since it is a wall. Haze is a great move to put on physical bulky Crobat. It keeps pokes such as swords dance heracross from setting up. Super fang is a move that is perfect for walls that would completely wall your entire team if your counters ate dead for it like gligar. Crobat is also a poision type too so he can't be poisioned. You can use Giga drain if you want more recovery and for surprising rhyperior or you can use sludge bomb for a solid spA move. One problem for this set is it's stealth rock weakness. You will need a spinner to accompony it if you want it to be affective.

I don't think there really is a post above me that has a set that's not been judged already so yah.

From the OU thread, but I've tried it in UU now and it's quite simply the best Pokémon I've ever used in the tier. Suicune, Slowbro (careful of Thunder Wave), Azumarill, Empoleon, Alomomola and so on are perfect bait for it. Not much can stop it once it gets going - it can live through unboosted Weavile Ice Shards and, with a bit of luck and in the right circumstances, even beat Snorlax. Victini and Darmanitan are problematic, but if you've got SR down and shuffle them around (I use Empoleon myself), they'll be weakened easily. Pretty much everything else gets OHKO'd.

Isnt Golbat better suited for this role with eviolite/roost?

Yes it is if you would rather have stronger defense rather than recovery and stronger Giga drain. It is kind like one of those Chansey blissey things where it could go either way.

Yeah, Golbat probably does this better. I've only used Golbat sporadically in a few Middle Cup matches, but hell, it might just actually work in UU on a stall team or something.

Golbat @ Eviolite
Inner Focus
Impish Nature
252 HP / 172 Def / 84 SpD
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Taunt
- Toxic / Super Fang

Being an NU Pokemon, it doesn't seem like that great of a Pokemon, but it actually beats every Fighting-type in the tier, and does wonders against Roserade. Unboosted Scarf MoxieCross only gains a 3HKO with Stone Edge, and will lose out to Golbat. Mienshao's Stone Edge is a 2HKO, but doesn't have the defences to take a Brave Bird, and with Stone Edge's shitty accuracy, the 2HKO isn't guaranteed. Mienshao's hidden Power Ice is a 4HKO, managing to deal just shy of a third of Golbat's HP. Bulky Swampert's Ice Punch only does 44% to 52% maximum, giving Golbat ample time to Roost off the damage and Toxic Swampert.

Brave Bird is STAB and prevents Golbat from becoming Taunt-fodder, all while picking off weakened threats or smashing Fighting-types. Roost increases Golbat's longevity by recovering 50% of its HP. Taunt is usefull for Sableye switch-ins or shutting down set-up sweepers. Toxic is there to really help beat the bulky Waters found in the tier, but Super Fang can be used to halve and opponents HP, making sure that Golbat isn't walled by Steel-types. It's a great move on a stall team, as the residual damage from hazards and halving of its HP will really weaken an opponent.

However, Golbat really suffers against Pokemon who can exploit its weaker Special Defence and plethora of associated weaknesses. Bulky Waters that can recover from Toxic really shit all over Golbat, as they can usually set up in its face and beat it. It's an interesting Pokemon if you think about it, but has limited use.

Closing this thread upon request from the OP.

I mean really, just because the "and good" part of the title is in parentheses doesn't mean you don't have to follow it...

(that means almost every set presented in this thread is bad, in case you didn't get that)
