[OVERVIEW]

Crobat's great defensive typing provides it with many notable resistances and an immunity, which enables it to check premier threats such as Zarude, Heracross, and Mienshao. Its high Speed stat and use of Heavy-Duty Boots provide it with many opportunities to clear away entry hazards with Defog and pivot out of unfavourable matchups with U-turn. Crobat also has the potential to run stallbreaking sets that can bypass Pokemon like Cobalion, Milotic, and Sylveon. Crobat depends upon Heavy-Duty Boots for most of its defensive utility and is vulnerable to Knock Off from Mienshao and Heracross. Crobat also has a tough matchup against common Stealth Rock setters like Metagross, Rhyperior, Seismitoad, and Necrozma, which prevent it from being able to consistently remove Stealth Rock. Crobat is very suspectible to Electric-types like Raikou, Xurkitree, and Heliolisk, and it faces stiff competition with Noivern, which can chip Steel-types like Steelix and Metagross with Flamethower and use Draco Meteor against prominent Electric-types and Rock-types such as Raikou, Toxtricity, and Rhyperior.

[SET COMMENTS]

U-turn capitalizes on Crobat's high Speed stat and keeps momentum for the team. Defog helps provide Crobat's team with entry hazard control. Alternatively, Taunt can be run to shut down defensive Pokemon like Body Press Registeel and Sylveon. Toxic can be used in conjunction with Taunt at the sacrifice of U-turn to wear down Pokemon like Milotic, Seismitoad, and Umbreon. Crobat fits mainly on bulky offense and balance teams, which benefit from its natural longevity from Heavy-Duty Boots and ability to keep up momentum for its team. Wallbreakers such as Choice Band Rhyperior, Heracross, and Toxtricity can take advantage of U-turn and force out many of Crobat's checks, including Nasty Plot Togekiss, Reuniclus, and Diancie. Ground-types such as Steelix, Rhyperior, and Seismitoad prevent Electric-types such as Raikou, and Xurkitree from constantly gaining momentum with Volt Switch, while Crobat can take care of common Grass- and Fighting-types like Zarude, Mienshao, and Heracross. Crobat still struggles against bulky Steel-types like Seismic Toss Registeel, Steelix, and Metagross, so partners like the aforementioned Rhyperior as well as Water-types like Milotic and Seismitoad are beneficial. Knock Off absorbers like Colbur Berry Galarian Slowbro and Cobalion help neuter Crobat's weakness to the move. Other pivots like Zarude, Raikou, Darmanitan, and Xurkitree can form a VoltTurn core to create momentum for Crobat's team and benefit from hazards being removed so they can constantly pivot around.

=============

Super Fang turns Crobat into a stallbreaker that can wear down bulky Steel-types like Registeel and Metagross. Poison Fang can chip down Electric-types as well as Togekiss while having the possibility to weaken checks with Toxic. Nasty Plot can be run alongside special moves such as Sludge Bomb, Hurricane, Heat Wave, and Giga Drain to pressure checks to physical Crobat like Steelix, Zygarde-10%, Seismitoad, and Rhyperior, but Crobat's Special Attack is very mediocre, leaving it outclassed by other special sweepers like Nasty Plot Togekiss and Reuniclus.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Super Effective Attackers**: Common Electric- and Rock-types such as Raikou, Xurkitree, and Rhyperior resist Brave Bird and can easily KO Crobat with their STAB moves.

**Faster Threats**: Choice Scarf users such as Heracross, Darmanitan, and Gardevoir can easily threaten Crobat by KOing it or pivoting as it's forced out.

**Steel-types**: Steel-types such as Metagross, Steelix, and Stakataka are only bothered by Super Fang and can use Crobat to set Stealth Rock up.

**Bulky Setup Pokemon**: Crobat struggles with breaking past bulky Pokemon like Galarian Slowbro, RestTalk variants of Suicune, and Snorlax, though they don’t appreciate being hit with Taunt.

[OVERVIEW]

- Seismitoad uses Knock Off itself and isn't exactly threatened by Crobat immediately. Not sure how Crobat is checking it per se.
- Crobat also matches up pretty poorly against the common Rockers (Rhyp, Staka, Meta, Necrozma, Regi, Lix, and Seis either counter Bat or just aren't immediately threatened by it) which means it tends to have to Defog every time it comes in since the Rockers can generally switch into it frequently.

[Pivot]

- Darmanitan works pretty well. Scarf variants in particular appreciate Crobat and Boots or Scarf sets dismantle Steels.

[Other Options]

- Super Fang can probably work here as an additional stallbreaking tactic. Really nice against the fat Steels Crobat otherwise does nothing against aside from pivoting out. Hard to slot in though.

[Checks and Counters]

- This feels kinda bare. Electrics in general kinda dunk on Crobat since all it can do is U-turn on them.
- Galarian Slowbro, Suicune (RestTalk variants) and Snorlax can all use Crobat's low offensive presence to start setting up absent of Taunt.
- Note that most of the Steel-types that beat Crobat also happen to be common Stealth Rock setters, which makes Crobat's job of clearing entry hazards more challenging since it can't prevent these mons from coming in as it Defogs, something that Volcanion and Noivern have over it.

[QC 1/2] assuming these changes are implemented during write-up.

[OVERVIEW]

Crobat's great defensive typing alongside reliable recovery provides it with many notable resistances and an immunity, which enables it to check a variety of the metagame's premier threats including Zarude, Heracross, and Mienshao. Its high speed stat in conjunction with Heavy Duty Boots provides Crobat with many opportunities to clear away hazards with Defog while pivoting out of unfavourable matchups with U-turn. Utility options in Taunt and Toxic offer Crobat great stallbreaking capabilities which allow it to bypass common Stealth Rock setters and other bulky Pokemon like Cobalion, Milotic, and Sylveon. Crobat's main source of defensive utility comes mainly from the use of Heavy Duty Boots, preventing it from getting chipped from Stealth Rock: losing it becomes detrimental for it as it can no longer check Pokemon such as Mienshao and Heracross. Crobat also has a tough matchup against common Stealth Rock setters like Metagross, Rhyperior, Seismitoad, and Necrozma which prevent it from being able to Defog as frequently as it would like to. Additionally, it faces stiff competition with Noivern due to having access to Flamethrower which allows it to chip Steel-types like Steelix and Metagross as well as its typing which helps it against the prominent Electric-types and Ground-types such as Raikou, Toxtricity, and Zygarde-10%. a big reason why noivern is usually preferred is that draco is a lot more spammable and it lets it be an offensive electric check unlike bat that is literally elec food. also you need a bullet on bat being elec food

Crobat fits mainly on bulky offense and balance teams which benefit from its natural longevity from Heavy Duty Boots and ability to keep up momentum for its team. Wallbreakers such as Choice Band Rhyperior, Heracross, and Toxtricity are good partners; they can take advantage of U-turn and force out many of Crobat's checks including Nasty Plot Togekiss, Reuniclus, and Diancie. In particular, Rhyperior (i would make this about ground types in general, rhyp isnt the best elec check out there) makes for a potent teammate, preventing Electric-types such as Raikou, and Xurkitree from constantly gaining momentum with Volt Switch while Crobat can take care of common Grass- and Fighting-types like Zarude, Mienshao, and Heracross. However, Crobat still struggles against bulky Steel-types like Seismic Toss Registeel, Steelix, and Metagross so partners like the aforementioned Rhyperior as well as Water-types like Milotic and Seismitoad are beneficial for this reason. Knock Off absorbers are crucial in order for Crobat to pivot around safely so Pokemon like Colbur Berry Galarian Slowbro and Cobalion help neuter this weakness. Other pivots like Zarude, Raikou, Darmanitan, and Xurkitree can form a VoltTurn core to create momentum for Crobat's team and benefit hazards being removed so they can constantly pivot around.

Nasty Plot can be run alongside special moves such as Sludge Bomb, Hurricane, Heat Wave, and Giga Drain to pressure out previous checks like Steelix, Zygarde-10%, Seismitoad, and Rhyperior, but Crobat's Special Attack is very mediocre leaving it outclassed by other special sweepers like Nasty Plot Togekiss and Reuniclus (make this point last). Super Fang turns Crobat into a stallbreaker which help it wear down bulky Steel-types like Registeel and Metagross; however it generally has little room to put it on and losing U-turn is a big boon to its viability. wouldnt rlly say that losing uturn makes it bad, u mention a bunch of alternatives over uturn in set comments, just emphasize that its rlly hard to fit. also mention those steels dont have reliable recovery
-mention poison fang. basically makes you less passive vs elecs and gets good dmg vs togekiss and can psn its usual checks but p hard to fit

Checks and Counters
===================

**Faster Threats**: Choice Scarf users such as Heracross, Darmanitan and Gardevoir as well as various other Choice Scarf users can easily threaten Crobat by KOing it or pivot out due to its fragility.

**Steel-types**: Crobat has next- to- none ways of handling Steel-types as its only STAB attack, Brave Bird, is resisted by Steel-types such as Metagross, Steelix, and Stakataka and can KO or use it as set up to get Stealth Rock on Crobat’s field.

**Electric-types**: Raikou, Xurkitree, and Heliolisk resist Brave Bird and can easily KO it with Thunderbolt or gain momentum with Volt Switch.

**Bulky Pokemon**: Crobat struggles with breaking past bulky Pokemon like Galarian Slowbro, RestTalk variants of Suicune, and Snorlax which can easily take damage from Brave Bird; however they don’t appreciate being hit with Taunt as it prevents them from setting up.

Implement this and I'll go over it again.

as well as its access to Draco Meteor which helps it against the prominent Electric-types and Ground-types such as Raikou, Toxtricity, and Zygarde-10%.
Ground-types are out of place here, mention Rock-types instead.
**Electric-types**:
Make this the first bullet point.
**Bulky Pokemon**:
Rename this to "Bulky Setup Sweepers", most bulky Pokemon can't threaten you back anyways.

Would probably add a Rock-types section in Checks and Counters too.
