ORAS UU Crocodile and Lizard

INTRODUCTION
Welcome to my 1st RMT! I decided to make a balanced team using Krookodile's ability to become a late game cleaner. The main goal of this team is to kill physical walls using Sceptile-Mega and Rotom-H and then sweep using krookodile with a few moxie boosts. But seeing how Sceptile and Rotom completely get walled by special walls I used Escavalier. Finally I placed a defensive backbone for hazard support and removal and also to keep my pokemon healthy and status free (Empoleon & Florges).

Krookodile @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Moxie
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- Stone Edge
- Pursuit

The star of the team. Its goal is to sweep late game.A scarf with a moxie boost is just deadly.EQ and Knock Off are the obvious stabs.Stone Edge for flying types particularly Aerodactyl-M cause it threatens my team a lot.Pursuit for trapping weakened foes.

Sceptile @ Sceptilite
Ability: Overgrow
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Substitute
- Giga Drain
- Dragon Pulse
- Focus Blast

My mega for this team. It cleans most of the pokemon which wall Krookodile. With its perfect typing and stats its just a threat to anyone. Giga Drain and Dragon Pulse for stab.Focus Blast to deal with steel types and Substitute for those pokemons who want to t-wave me(sceptile not me).

Rotom-Heat @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Overheat
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Trick

My 2nd special attacker.Forms an excellent synergy with other two mons.Specially it deals with mamoswine which otherwise heavily dents my team. Specs is for sheer power. Overheat is a pwerful stab. Volt-Switch is a stab which provides momentum.HP Grass over Thunderbolt to deal with Quagsire and Swampert because thay are threat if my Scpetile dies.Trick to cripple walls who think they can safely switch into my rotom.

Escavalier @ Assault Vest
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 168 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 84 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Megahorn
- Iron Head

Empoleon @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Defog
- Scald
- Roar

My defensive backbone and a hazard setter. Its typing supports my team quiet good. Its main job is to take some hits, remove my opponent's hazard and set my own.Stealth Rock is obvious. Defog for hazard removal. Scald as an attack to burn foes. Roar to prevent set-up.

Florges @ Leftovers
Ability: Flower Veil
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Moonblast
- Aromatherapy

The cleric in my team. It is the only fighting resist so it is physically defensive. It provides wish support to mu mons mainly empoleon and escavalier. Wish for healing. Protect to get wish activated and scout opponent's move.Aromatherapy to remove status from my team and moonblast for stab as it has got nice special attack.

Issues/Weaknesses in the team: Maero, Sub Chandelures, any bulky setup smart enough to swap out of trick, nothing enables krook.

Good things about the team: Escav is a cool guy and works well with rotom H and florges as a punish core if he's packing pursuit.

Quick fixes (stop reading here if you're a lazy shit) Adamant Mega bee over Msceptile can give you a volturn core to get some heavy wither going on krooks switchins. A banded swarm escavalier with pursuit over drill run can be huge (CB swarm megahorn smashes souls, namely souls that want to wall bee and krook). Mixed bulk florges, 88 def on empoleon.

Long term fix: Frankly the team needs a rebuild to be a successful competitive team and that's not really what these forums are for (though people will no doubt vomit rebuilds at you). Go use similar teams from the UU sample teams thread or old successful RMTs, and dig through the resources thread along with battling 101. Then come back and rebuild this team yourself into something more synergistic. It may seem odd to drop the team entirely but the experience you can gain on higher ends of the ladder, and the experience you can gain by using different teamstyles will let you rebuild and test a team that will be considerably better than the frankenstien monster well intended raters can create.

Hey Argon24,

Looking at your team, there are many weaknesses to it that are common in the tier. These weaknesses, namely fighting, fire and mamoswine, can't really be stop by the team currently. Fire types can spam their moves freely and you really don't have anything that wants to take the hit on the team (Rotom gets 2HKO'd by banded Entei). Fighting types can do just about the same thing, bar Florges but that's what the rest of their team is for. Mamo, as you know, can just play with your team until it get bored enough to take out everything, minus Rotom-H.

I second jjoshcja's suggestions on ways to quick fix this team to make a bit more offensive and powerful.

I think when building around Scarf Krookodile you need to be able to apply constant pressure to the opposing team in order to weaken the mons to a point where it is possible to sweep with Krook. So I think it would be a little more beneficial to go Hyper Offensive with this team. jjoshcja brings up a good point in his comment that to make this team fit Scarf Krook, there needs to be restructuring. The team has too many weaknesses to common threats in the tier an to alleviate those weaknesses the team needs many major changes because it relies too much on one pokemon to handle an entire type of pokemon.

I would be happy to help build around Krook if you message me :]
