Cryogonal (Analysis) [GP: 2/2]

You need to expand on your Checks and Counters section. There's no way that you can detail what Checks and Counters Cryogonal in 1.5 lines. Also saying that Cryogonal is checked by physical attackers is like scizor dies to Fire-type attacks. It's far too vague and lazy. Give some examples.

It has an amazing defensive ability (Levitate), but is cursed for being an Ice-type Pokemon. Luckily, it has myriad useful support options, such as dual screens, Rapid Spin, and Recover, allowing it to fill a very specific slot on your team.

Really minor nitpick here, but I'm a grammar nazi, so, whatever. I know it looks odd but the bold is correct. Myriad is an adjective not a noun and so the "a" and "of" was irrelevant.

iirc you don't need a dw section if the poke doesn't have one or it was released

[OVERVIEW]

Cryogonal is two sides of a coin. It has an excellent base 135 Special Defense stat, but an absolutely abysmal base 30 Defense stat. It has an excellent stellar base 105 Speed and base 95 Special Attack, but a horrendously shallow special movepool, making an attacking set unfeasible. It has an amazing defensive ability (Levitate), but is cursed with an Ice typing for being an Ice-type Pokemon. Luckily, it has a myriad of useful support options, such as dual screens, Rapid Spin, and Recover, allowing it to fill a very specific slot on your team.

[SET]

move 1: Rapid Spin
move 2: Recover
move 3: Ice Beam
move 4: Toxic/Haze
item: Leftovers
nature: Calm
evs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]

Due to the lack of Pokemon with access to Rapid Spin in UU, Cryogonal may find its way on your team as the only Rapid Spinner with instant recovery. Rapid Spin allows Cryogonal to remove opposing entry hazards from the field. Recover is very important for Cryogonal; even though it is immune to Spikes and Toxic Spikes due to Levitate, it is weak to Stealth Rock by nature of its Ice typing. Accordingly, it needs to keep its HP high to allow it to switch in and spin away hazards. Ice Beam provides relatively strong STAB, and keeps Taunt from shutting it down. it from being Taunt bait. Finally, Toxic is used to cripple the plethora of physical attackers who love to switch in to Cryogonal. If Toxic is unnecessary, Cryogonal has access to Haze to stop Baton Pass chains and to prevent set up sweepers. Because Cryogonal's Defense stat is so poor, it is better to maximize its special bulk, as you would try to avoid physical attacks that would wreck Cryogonal.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

Unfortunately, because of Cryogonal's lack of Defense, it is incredibly susceptible to the move Pursuit.[period], being OHKOed by Pursuit from Choice Banded Escavalier or Life Orbed Houndoom. Both Choice Band Escavalier and Life Orb Houndoom can OHKO Cryogonal with the move. Accordingly, one can move the Special Defense EVs into Defense, to allow it to survive such threats. Likewise Alternatively, Pokemon such as Cofagrigus, with that have high physical bulk, make good partners for Cryogonal.

[OTHER OPTIONS]

Cryogonal has a few other options that it can consider. Because of its high decent Special Attack, offensive stats, an offensive Rapid Spin set can be used with an EV spread of 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe, Timid nature, and a Life Orb. However, this is relatively hard to pull off because, outside of Hidden Power, Cryogonal's best coverage option is Flash Cannon. Likewise, Cryogonal also has access to both Light Screen and Reflect, meaning a set consisting of Light Screen / Reflect / Recover / Rapid Spin can be used with a Light Clay. You must keep in mind that without Rapid Spin, Cryogonal this is entirely outclassed by dual screeners such as Uxie. Finally, Cryogonal can use Frost Breath instead of Ice Beam in order to effectively check Cosmic Power Sigilyph.

[CHECKS AND COUNTERS]

Cryogonal is checked by practically every physical attacker. It will be taking a lot of damage from strong physical assaults, so you have to do your best to keep Cryogonal away from such onslaughts assaults. Choice Scarf Heracross does a great job at checking Cryogonal, as it outspeeds and threatens with Close Combat. Likewise, Bisharp, Victini, Cobalion, and Poliwrath all resist Ice-type attacks and threaten Cryogonal with their STAB attacks. Houndoom and Escavalier both resist Ice-type attacks as well, and can OHKO Cryogonal with Pursuit. Strong special attackers such as Moltres or Azelf also threaten Cryogonal due to the sheer power of their assaults. All in all, Pokemon with strong physical attacks or super effective moves check Cryogonal.

[DREAMWORLD]

Cryogonal did not receive a Dream World ability.

This analysis is looking way too brief. You should add some team options and more specific counters. Basically, in the additional comments part of the set, you should list the main counters to the set, and then delve into what teammates are good for taking them on.

Here's an example:
- Houndoom resists Ice Beam and can use Pursuit to chase down Cryogonal for a lot of damage. Milotic can take anything Houndoom uses and proceed to drown the fire hound with Surf or Scald.

Since Cryogonal is a utility Pokemon, you should also list the Pokemon that benefit from its utility. Cryogonal is a Rapid Spinner. Here's another example:

- Since Cryogonal is a rather efficient Rapid Spinner, Pokemon who are weak to Stealth Rock are naturally good teammates to it. For example, Victini greatly appreciates being able to switch in and out without taking 25% damage every switch-in, allowing it to bombard the opponent with V-Create a lot more freely.

Of course, that is not all, you should aim to list at least 3-4 good counters and around the same for teammates.

tl;dr - Please expand on your analysis more. Teammates and Counters are a good place to start.

Despite having an excellent base 135 Special Defense, a high base 105 Speed, and a usable base 95 Special Attack, Cryogonal is incapable of running a potent attacking set, as it is completely let down by its awful special movepool and abysmal base 30 Defense. Still, access to Rapid Spin in a tier infested with entry hazards, as well as other useful moves such as Recover, Haze, dual screens, and Toxic, is nothing to scoff at, and this makes Cryogonal a viable choice for any team needing a fast Rapid Spin user to keep entry hazards off the field, giving it a niche in UU.

Other special walls such as Chansey can help Cryogonal with this problem. As Cryogonal does not invest in Speed, many Pokemon such as Jolly Heracross will outspeed it, though Cryogonal naturally outspeeds threats such as Jolly Heacross will outspeed it. (The Dream World section is only for Pokemon with unreleased Dream World abilities.)

I will just point out a few repeated errors which I found while checking :

 • Do not leave a space between the beginning / end of a paragraph and the
/
tags.
 • ''Rapid Spinner'' ''dual screener'' etc are wrong - use ''Rapid Spin user'' and ''dual screen user.''
Otherwise, good job.

No mention of Blizzard whatsoever? As perhaps the best choice for a spinner to hail teams and one capable of posing some offensive threat, I think you should seriously consider a set similar to the one WhiteQueen used.
