DDeviGatr/DDeviDos: Simple idea, simple play, simple, really

A moveset idea for Gyarados and Feraligatr, I've been talking about it for a while, but kept it secret. Its not really that complicated, just a way to work around normal counters of a Pokemon's moveset. For example, Gyarados walls(Not really) Metagross, but can't get past it until like 4 Dragon Dances to threaten it, or that Feraligatr won't get past Skarmory anytime soon unless it Swords Dances, but Skarmory can't do much to Feraligatr. But honestly, I don't care too much for the speaking in a thread where I should be posting a moveset, so here they go:

Gyarados @Liechi Berry/Leftovers
EVs:88 HP/252 Atk/168 Spd
Substitute
Dragon Dance
Waterfall
Roar

Feraligatr @Liechi Berry/Leftovers
EVs:104 HP/252 Atk//148 Spd
Substitute
Dragon Dance
Waterfall
Roar

The HP is divisible so that Gyara can switch into one layer of SR and not be ruined, and the HP is divisible on Gatr so that Torrent activates on the 3rd Sub.

The speed is for 342, so you outspeed Modest/Adamant Sceptile/Duggy and friends after a DD for Gatr, and Gyara outspeeds all but absolute maxed out base 115s.

The point of the set is to Substitute on the switchin, finding out what your supposed "Counter" is, and to act depending on that, either attacking if you can weaken them down, like an incoming Stone Edge Swampert, or Roar, if you are met by a Phazer, like Skarmory, who can't do much to you but you can't either. I used this set in Advance with Suicune, and it works rather well, bar the setup time. When the going is safe, or the opponent can't even touch you(Waters without HP Electric or Grass Knot can't break your Sub), Dragon Dance up, and attempt to sweep. It's especially dangerous with Feraligatr because with a Torrent boost and a Dragon Dance, you can OHKO a lot. The Item boost or Leftovers is your choice, although this set isn't for tanking, it's for sweeping, so you're better off with the Liechi, however, Leftovers works if you hate Tyranitar.

Problems with this set are the setup time and that you need a little support. Otherwise, I think it's a pretty good set.

Go ahead and say your thoughts.

They are interesting sets, no doubt, but I don't see how Gyarados is getting by Metagross by Roaring it any better than by EQing it, which usually OHKOs after a single DD. And by now we know that Skarmory loses to Taunt Gyarados just about as badly as it loses to Roar, since you're DDing on the turn SKarmory is "leaving" instead of beatining its WW with your Roar.

The point, like you said, is Subbing to find out your supposed counter. I just feel that those will be HP Electric waters like Slowbro, Suicune and even Vaporeon more than would allow the success of these sets. Are there any particular pokemon I'm forgetting that your set threatens more than the standard?
