December stats are up!

I prefer the raw usages because I look at these lists to see what I'm most likely to run into (and I like smaller numbers). There aren't any major differences anyway...

And Porygon2 is climbing its way to the top...gradually

For Shoddy (Nov -> Dec), Raikou usage went from 81 -> 74 (unweighted) and 79 -> 72 (weighted). Somewhat thanks to me spamming it in my teams lol.

At this rate, it'll crack Deucalion2's top 65 Pokemon standard for OU next month!

As OU, below that, either UU/BL.

EDIT: Look at the top 3. Triple G in Da House.

EDIT2: Lulwhatfish? By my own standards, Zard is OU. I'm freaked out.

EDIT3: I'm loving the fact Kingdra is even higher up now. That is 99% me.

i barely consider these OU material

-umbereon can only stall/trap pass/ and curse up
-frosslass well only spiker that can block rapid spin
-areodactyl ...actually i have no clue why its there
-emploeon dragon killer or something?

personally i dont like a new OU tier comming out every month if a pokemon been BL/UU 11 out of 12 months out the year why should it be OU the next?

I would go so far as to put the OU list as far up as #40 as the majority of the pokemon below suicune are considered BL as of now. Nevertheless, using the assumption that OU is 95% of the used pokemon, OU is cut off somewhere around the 50s.

There is one thing I can't understand. Mismagius is in the 59th position, and it's one of the few pokes which can win Blissey 1 vs 1 if Blissey doesn't have Shadow Ball or Calm Mind, which isn't used nowadays. Mismagius only need a Sub and one or two Calm Minds to kill 2 or 3 pokes.
Also, Gengar is more popular now, and it has cut out some points. Do you think that Gengar could be the number 1 in two or three months?. It's very versatile, and it doesn't have a good counter (I think).

missy gaining popularity is really awesome, also happy to see p2 usage rise. zapdos is also a cool new trend

crobat rose for extremely fast sleeps and fast uturns

mix kingra on rain dance teams is extremely rape =\

feels like adv again :')

I'd like to take single hand credit for that staraptor increase XD

From a poke who it was rare to see at all, I saw quite a few last month, and even watched a "staraptor V staraptor"

Heh, well I used Staraptor religiously as well after I made that thread. It needed testing dammit. :P

Staraptor wasn't doing that badly last month though, it was 59th, which isn't bad at all. It is doing a lot better though. I should face you sometime Sunday, I wanna see how well you use emobird!

Oh, for the person who wanted the BulkRaptor thread, here it is:

I bet that eventually Gyarados will get so popular that Porygon2 will eclipse PorygonZ in popularity. Watch it happen.

From what I see from the weighted usages, Gengar is rising quickly. It might even take Garchomp's spot in a month or two.

People must be catching on to some of the overlooked Pokemon, such as Porygon2, Kingdra, Crobat, etc. Let's just see how much they advance by January's statistics...

Porygon2 is a good anti-lead. With all the people running Hypnosis/Spore leads, Gon2 reflects that and goes to town.

The most recent team I was building includes Crobat, Gon2, and Kingdra... <,< I was trying to go in a different direction, looks like I'm not though.

Porygon2 is an amazing Pokemon and deserves the rise! Is anyone else going to redo or swap some Pokemon on their teams because of this list?

Let's discuss how pathetic it is that Luvdisc has more use than Bibarel.

Wow...Bibarel can at least have good (if not great stats) after couple of Baton Passed stat-boosts thanks to its ability Simple. A max Attack Bibarel with the ability Simple that received a Swords Dance would pose much more harm to most teams (at least mine) than a Luvdisc.

Bibarel's abilities don't work in shoddy, do they?

I still like Scarf Staraptor better than Bulk Up. Nonetheless it's pretty awesome that its usage is increasing. Makes me want to use one again. D:

Porygon2? I never liked it, but somehow i love Gon-Z<3
I'm hoping that Garchomp will decrease. Almost every battle i see has at least a Chomp or a Mence.

Why is Electivire so high? Haven't people caught on to the fact that it sucks? >.>
I think with more offensive teams, Electivire could actually do pretty well. Once it switches in on a Thunderbolt, it outspeeds basically the entire team except for maybe a Choice Scarfer. And with it hitting 13 types super-effective and the ability to switch moves, you can't play with your resistances to force it out. Plus MixVire actually does pretty well against walls (2HKO's ground-types excluding Swampert or Gliscor with HP Ice or Grass respectively, Cross Chops Blissey, Forry and Bronzong are Flamethroweredm etc.).

I've been looking forward to the Most Popular Leads December for a while. It looks like a Choice Scarf Porygon-Z (and not Porygon2) could be pretty effective. Look at the top 10 leads. Gyarados, Gengar, Salamence, Bronzong, Hippowdon, Weavile, Tyranitar, Infernape, Yanmega, Roserade. Gyarados, Salamence, Roserade, Infernape, and Yanmega die horribly to Tri-Attack, Thunderbolt, and Ice Beam. With the last slot wither HP Fighting or Dark Pulse, either Gengar or Weavile and Tyranitar lose to. Hippowdon could survive an Ice Beam, but there's no way it could avoid 2HKO. The only one that 100% walls you is Bronzong.

Why is Electivire so high? Haven't people caught on to the fact that it sucks? >.>
electivire doesn't suck, he can compliment a team very nicely with his motor drive ability. I'm surprised how high kingdra is on the list compared to things like dragonite, abomasnow, gallade etc.
EDIT: adding to what above, nobody expects gyaravire that much anymore, but when i first played dp, i was so scared of it the only thing i let have an electric attack was cresselia.

Despite using one, I'm surprised at the high amount of Azelf leads. Absolutely no one espects an Azelf to hold a Scarf. Weavile, Crobat, and Yanmega (even after a single Speed Boost) are outsped and OHKO'ed, iirc. That pixie almost always KO's at least one Pokémon before going down.

To the person who mentioned Aerodactyl, don't underestimate it. It's deadly in late-game, with base 130 Speed and base 105 Attack backed up by Life Orb.
