My team is pretty good in my opinion but can be improved a lot too. Can I have suggestions?
Deoxys-Attack @ Focus Sash
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 124 HP / 132 SAtk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature
- Counter
- Mirror Coat
- Psycho Boost
- Taunt
This guy is my lead. If there is a darkrai, which is a common lead, it uses taunt so no darkvoid. Next, it waits for the darkrai to use a special attack and uses mirror coat, instantly OHKO'ing. This also works for genesect. Then, I switch out into another pokemon, usually ferrothorn, and save deoxys for a blaziken or other fighting type. If the opponent's lead is not a darkrai, I use taunt and then psycho boost. This is useful since it gets rid of a really popular lead pokemon.
Darkrai @ Life Orb
Trait: Bad Dreams
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Dark Void
- Dark Pulse
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
I needed a pokemon to have some utility moves that can just wail powerful moves on opponents while opponents are asleep. This helps me do just that, and I find thunderbolt and Ice Beam more useful than substitute and nasty plot, since the coverage usually did more for me than nasty plot.
Rayquaza @ Life Orb
Trait: Air Lock
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- ExtremeSpeed
Not only does air lock remove weather effects, Rayquaza can then use extreme speed, an effective revenge killer after deoxys or darkrai does it's work. Earthquake makes good work of any rock type and outrage+dragon dance make an effective sweep after just one use of each.
Ferrothorn (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 104 Atk / 152 SDef
Sassy Nature
- Gyro Ball
- Stealth Rock
- Power Whip
- Thunder Wave
Ferrothorn is key to my team because of how it counters Kyogre, my main opponent. If ferrothorn is gone, there is one other pokemon i can usually count on to get the job done:arceus, but ferrothorn is better because it can also be a barrier to other pokemon that would usually be a threat to my team AND it is more efficient. It can beat kyogre with more HP to spare than my arceus. In addition, stealth rock takes a toll on any entering pokemon and so I bring out ferrothorn right after deoxys. With stealth rocks on, I can two hit kyogre while not taking much damage myself, or sometimes even one hit kyogre. This is my best line of defense.
Arceus @ Leftovers
Trait: Multitype
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Atk / 16 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- ExtremeSpeed
- Shadow Force
- Earthquake
Arceus, too, is an effective revenge killer. When my ferrothorn miraculously misses 3 power whips in a row (strangely often), extreme speed can usually two hit or three hit kyogre. It can also deal a good 40% to most pokemon. shadowforce is for when deoxys didn't counter a darkrai in the beginning and there is one later on. Earthquake for coverage and Swords Dance can sometimes be viable.
Mewtwo @ Life Orb
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Psystrike
- Recover
- Aura Sphere
Mewtwo is a great choice If I want to quickly destroy an enemy. Blissey and such walls are especially threatening annoying for my team. Mewtwo can take care of a blissey or a ferrothorn with aura sphere. Mewtwo's impressive speed even without EV's was enough to take down a darkrai with 252 speed EV's. The aura sphere won me the battle. Recover helps since mewtwo is meant to partly be a special wwall in my team. Calm Mind for the sweepiness. Psystrike can easily get rid of a blaziken. I prefer mewtwo over deoxys to take blaziken and other such fighting types on because psycho boost's special reduction gets annoying. I keep it anyway on my deoxys in case there is a wall weak to psychic.
