Diancie @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 108 Atk / 52 Def / 96 SpA
IVs: 0 Spe
Brave Nature
- Diamond Storm
- Moonblast
- Trick Room
- Protect

Diancie makes for an effective Trick Room setter in the Doubles OU metagame thanks to its offensive typing, unique among Trick Room setters, being capable of threatening common anti-Trick Room Pokemon like Incineroar and Whirlwind Zapdos as well as its powerful STAB moves, which can be further strengthened by activating Weakness Policy. Diancie's great bulk and Clear Body let it make good use of the said item. The EV spread allows Diancie to survive a Leaf Blade from Kartana as well as OHKO boosted Kommo-o with Moonblast. Pokemon with low Speed, like Mega Camerupt and Gastrodon, enjoy Diancie's Trick Room. Both these Pokemon also check Steel-types like Mega Metagross and Aegislash, which completely invalidate Diancie. Lurantis is also a notable ally for Diancie because it checks Water-types like Tapu Fini and Gastrodon that give Diancie trouble while benefiting from Diancie's good matchup against Fire- and Flying-types.

  • Hoopa-U and Tyranitar aren't really used as anti-TR Pokemon as much anymore; I'd much prefer you mention Incineroar and Whirlwind Zapdos
  • Lurantis is an important teammate to highlight; it takes on Water-types that Diancie can't break through and benefits from Diancie's strong matchup against Flying- and Fire-types
  • I think you should split up that first sentence a bit; talk about its typing and offensive prowess in the first sentence, then add a sentence about its great bulk allowing it to make use of Weakness Policy, as it's unlikely to be taken down by neutral hits alone
  • Make sure you include a 0 Spe IV
There are a few sentence changes so I'd like to take another look before I stamp, but most of this looks great as always.
