I'm OK with this for this game, since there's nothing in the rules preventing it. I do agree, however, that this sort of thing should be discouraged in the future.
This kind of outside influence is counterproductive and unacceptable.

Please save your game philosophical points until postgame where they can be addressed honestly and thoroughly without affecting the outcome of the game.

I will propose a tie again when billymills has been eliminated. I'll elaborate more on this in the postgame but you should know that a stab between me and swf is infinitesimally improbable due to a clever way we planned the juggernaut. This game will be less fun for everyone the longer it carries on. It should be ended while it still has momentum.

sorry Agape don't sue. A bit of diplo philosophy for your enjoyment;

First, Bass is correct in that absolute trust alliances ruin the game and are inherently overpowered. This is because they have the strength of two countries but act only as one, essentially creating one country with double the strength. This is especially true in the case of an absolute trust juggernaut as both Russia and Turkey are located ideally so as to geopolitically dominate if not for the other.

Second, Agape has been threatening me with the fact that if I stab him the game will be uninteresting and boring as he will put up no resistance. However, surely a game that exists will be more interesting than a game that is over. Additionally, I do not believe that he will in fact give up and if he does he will lose quite a bit of reputation in my eyes. If he does not give up, however, the game will be far more interesting than it would have been as the game is over if we keep jugging, but I will have a fun game of chess with him this way.

Third, I told Agape that I wanted to see, for one in my career, a successful juggernaut. I do want to see this, however I believe that no true juggernaut can succeed without breaking the spirit of the game, as Bass accused ours of doing (and as it would have if I had not been planning to stab from square one).

Finally, stabbing people is fun. If you want an honorable strategy game, play chess. Or even risk.

A certain sort of chaos is more important a value for me than winning. I have had fun in the game layer of this game already. Following expectations would be less fun for me than what I'm about to do ie. making one final move in the metagame layer.

Russia forfeits. As per game rules, my units will go into perpetual hold.

Edit: I was asked if I can still participate in ties. I cannot. Consider the implications of this ;)

also the tie was illegal, according to the rulebook "Players may terminate the game by mutual agreement before a winner is determined, in which case all players who still have pieces in the board share equally in the draw." In competetive diplomacy this is the case unless the NO_DIAS rule is in effect, which has to be specified.

Regarding your game swf: I think that the players should vote whether to DIAS or no DIAS, perhaps during signups posting both "in" and their DIAS preference.
