Disney-Themed Team

I took this idea from "the Disney" by brutal satyr. That team wasn't built with a well defined strategy, so i took the base idea to try to make a competitive team, even with the "disney" restrictions. here we go!

The idea is to take out near to three opponent's poke, with sleep, burn and Trick. Thunderbolt is for Gyarados, that can cause some troubles to this team. I don't know if i should go lead with him, but i think it's pretty good, and a Choice Specs-Trick set can be surprising. Choice Specs can help me to hit hard incoming Rest-Talking Suicune, and if I give it to an opponent Physical Sweeper, it's almost finished. Any suggestion about him are well accepted!

Mixed Attacker to take care of Scarfed Heatran. Thanks to EVE (Bronzong), that can attract Heatran and other Fire attacks, it can switch in a fire move and hit very, very hard. I was thinking about replacing Fire Blast with Dragon Pulse for more type coverage, but Fire Blast can take care of Skarmory with more safe than Flare Blitz.

I really love that thing. It supports a lot the team, especially late-game sweepers, and it can be find place in every team. In that case, he has some different role : to set up screens, to explode in face of things that are trying to set up (and annihilate them), and to attract Heatran and Fire-Type moves to activate Arcanine's Flash Fire. Gyro Ball can take care of Aerodactyl and already-set up pokes (especially DDancers).

Wish support is needed to give to Arcanine, Roserade and Lucario more durability, and Surf/Ice Beam/ Hp Electric give her a great tipe coverage, allowing her to totally wall Gyarados. Maybe i should change the EV spread because of Bronzong's screen, but i don't think it's needed.

Special Late-Game sweeper that covers Swampert (that can cause some troubles to the other team-mates), can deal with steel types such as Metagross or even Magnezone, and can hit neutrally very well with Sludge Bomb. Sleep Powder is for slower opponents that can really hurt her. My only doubt is about Energy Ball or Leaf Storm, because EB allows me to sweep without switching out after just one hit, but Leaf Storm can do ridicolous damages if it's not predicted by the opponent. I build that from the Smogon Choice Specs set, but i prefer life orb because i prefer to choise my moves, especially in late-game situations.

Physical Late-Game sweeper that can break also physical walls. I was thinking about changing his nature to Jolly in order to outspeed some annoying thing like (all max speed +speed nature) Heracross, Kingdra, Gyarados, Mamoswine, Gallade, and Togekiss, that would often go down after just one hit and outspeeding them is necessary in order to don't faint! Focus sash is here to allow him to get in also in the early game, and set up a Sword Dance without fainting. I'm not sure anyway that it's the right item, so tell me what do you think about him.


I know, this team lacks of Ground moves (barring Arcanine's HP ground), so i was thinking about changing Bronzon's Gyro Ball to earthquake and giving him an Impish nature, since some speed doesn't hurts.

I think that this team can do well, even with the theme limit. Any suggestion are wellcomed, but remember that if you suggest to replace someone, the replacing pokemon must have some similarities with disney's characters!

I started making this team for fun, but i think it can work well, so help me to find its weaknesses :D

Your gengar isn't bad, but I must warn you that Hypnosis only has 60% accuracy in Platinum (looks like your team is for the Platinum metagame) so making him a normal Choice Specster with Shadow Ball, Focus Blast, Thunderbolt, and Trick. You can lead off with him as well, but if you want to take out other pokemon in the beginning, try this moveset:

EVs: 6 HP / 252 SpA/ 252 Spd (you can mess with them a little if you want to use Explosion)
Counter
Hypnosis / Will-O-Wisp
Destiny Bond / Explosion
Shadow Ball / Thunderbolt (I only recommend T-Bolt sense you said your team has trouble with Gyara, so you can keep it)

The only reason that I might recommend Will-O-Wisp is that, you will probably end up crippling about 2 pokemon total, because you can't rely on Hypnosis's accuracy anymore. And if Hypnosis misses, your Focus Sash probably gets breaked. So you can't use counter and you are forced to DBond or Explode.

Arcanine looks fine, but maybe Dragon Pulse over Fire Blast? It seems that Skarmory really can't wall anything on your team too badly (besides EVE). So the coverage brought in by Dragon Pulse would be nice as this team lacks a Dragon move as well.

Bronzong and Vaporeon both look fine, but maybe Protect over something? You don't have to, but it would help.

My main beef about Vaporeon is that Lucario isn't going to be receiving wishes at all as he is not durable enough and they don't cover each other's weaknesses. Arcanine and Roserade could both survive a hit, but I don't think Wish's full usefullness is in this team. Maybe a Life Orb Suicune there?

Surprises your opponent and you can usually get one kill with it, most of the time 2 because people just don't understand the speed difference between this and other Suicune. (Of course Blissey still walls it -_-)

If you choose to switch Vaporeon for Suicune, then you can use a Choice Scarfer in Roserade's spot. This is quite important because you have no Revenge Killer in your whole team, so I would go with something that is mid-speed, but people don't expect to be too fast (Dragonnite, I suppose Roserade). Another problem is is that Roserade and Gengar both carry sleeping moves and sense Roserade's is more reliable I would drop if off of Gengar.

Your Lucario isn't bad, getting Two SDs when SDLuke would get one. But Hail, a weather I have been seeing more and more lately, wrecks him. I would just go with Regular SDLuke, but I suppose it is really personal preference because it is just how you play. Lucario also needs to cover ghosts, so Crunch > Stone Edge or if you want to counter Gliscor, use HP Ice or Ice Punch.

Thanks, you gave me some interesting advices that i'm going to try soon! especially Life Orb Suicune seems to be strong&surprising, that's pretty good. Also Scarfing Roserade it's an option that i'm going to try, because you're in right when you say that here miss a revenge-killer. I'll give Roserade Leaf Storm instead of Energy ball, if i give her scarf, anyway.

I think i'm going to erase Hypnosis from Gengar, since it's only 60% on Platinum, ando going with

Donno if someone noticed, but this team is skymin weak. Especially the LO or specs or scarf versions, gengar is taken care with air slash, arcanine with earthpower,bronzong is worned down by the sp.def drop of seed flare, vaporeon is easy, roserade air slash and earthpower for luke. All u can do is set up a light screen with zong and try to counter with fail. I think u should squeeze zapdos in there...
