Albeit hard to fit onto a team, Ditto is one of the best revenge killers in the metagame, being able to reliably revenge kill sweepers such as a chipped Xerneas, Calyrex-S, and Zacian-C. Unless it has Substitute, Zacian-C is especially vulnerable to Ditto, as a +2 Ditto can break through Zacian-C's common check in Necrozma-DM with Close Combat. Similarly, Calyrex-S fears Ditto, as it punishes Calyrex-S heavily for coming in by threatening a reverse sweep in conjunction with As One. Ditto is an amazing user of Dynamax; after copying a boosted sweeper like Calyrex-S, Groudon, or Xerneas, it can Dynamax to break the Choice lock, usually allowing it to break through a check that switches into Ditto. However, this is only recommended when Dynamax is necessary to KO a foe, when checks are weakened enough to wrap up the game, or if Ditto needs to survive a predicted priority move. It is possible for Ditto to face an opposing Ditto one-on-one, and the EVs and IVs have been chosen with this in mind. 248 HP EVs ensure that Ditto will be able to use Struggle four times before fainting, and 252 Defense EVs minimize Struggle damage from an opposing Ditto. The minimum possible Speed allows Imposter to not activate first and therefore allow Ditto to have more Transform PP.

Ditto works best on balance and stall teams that appreciate its ability to deter opposing setup attempts. Necrozma-DM and Tyranitar work well with Ditto, as they can weaken a boosted Xerneas and Life Orb Yveltal respectively before Ditto comes in and revenge kills. Xerneas and Yveltal have noticeably higher bulk than a Ditto transformed into either, so it is important for the aforementioned two checks to pressure them to Dynamax, removing their ability to reliably win against a Ditto that can Dynamax one-on-one. Moreover, Tyranitar also doubles as a mandatory check to Calyrex-S. Checks to the ever-dangerous Dragon Dance Zygarde-C, such as Lugia and Lunala, and Calm Mind Kyogre, such as Blissey, Eternatus, and Ferrothorn, are essential, as Ditto is incapable of revenge killing them. Gothitelle is a rather niche option that helps to deal with passive Pokemon lacking Shed Shell, particularly non-Teleport Blissey and Eternatus. Ditto enjoys being at full or near full HP so it can survive potential priority moves and take on a healthy Xerneas, so Defoggers such as Yveltal, Ho-Oh, and Giratina are invaluable teammates for it.

=============

As Transform is Ditto’s only move, it has no viable other options.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Substitute Users**: Substitute nullifies Imposter, so unless the Substitute is removed by the time an ally has fainted, Ditto can not come in and revenge kill. Some Substitute users to watch out for are Xerneas, Dragon Dance Zygarde, and Zekrom.

**Imposter-proof Pokemon**: Teams may have a sweeper unable to break through a specific Pokemon also on the team in the event that a Ditto transforms into the first Pokemon. For example, a team may have a Choice Specs Kyogre but also a Blissey or Ferrothorn to prevent an opposing Ditto from reverse sweeping. Another example is Life Orb Eternatus, Imposter-proofed by Ho-Oh and Zacian-C.

**Priority Users**: While not very common in the metagame, Pokemon with priority moves such as Shadow Sneak Marshadow and Extreme Speed Rayquaza may be able to OHKO or heavily damage Ditto before getting revenge killed.

Ditto is one of the best revenge-killers in the metagame, being able to reliably revenge-kill sweepers such as chipped Xerneas, Calyrex-S, [Smogon uses the Oxford / Serial Comma] Yveltal [Yveltal is actually remarkably difficult to reliably ditto, which is compounded by the lack of firepower from scarf ditto] and Zacian, after the opposing team has used up its Dynamax. Because Ditto has a faster speed due to Choice Scarf, it is in little danger as it attempts to revenge kill the opposing Pokemon. [fluff] Notably Zacian-C is especially vulnerable to Ditto unless it has Substitute, as a +2-boosted Ditto can break through the common defensive Necrozma-DM with Close Combat. Ditto is an amazing user of Dynamax, as after copying boosted sweepers like Calyrex-S, Groudon, or Shadow and Xerneas, it can break the Choice item lock, usually breaking through a check that switches into the Transformed Ditto. However, this is only recommended when Dynamax is necessary to KO a foe, or to live a predicted priority move, as it sacrifices the speed boost which allows Ditto to hit the opposing Pokemon first, which is especially risky when copying slower Pokemon like Dragon Dance Necrozma-DM. It is possible for Ditto v Ditto 1v1’s to happen, and the non-HP EVs and IVs have been chosen with this in mind. 248 HP EVs ensures that Ditto will be able to use Struggle four times before fainting, and the Defense EVs are so that Ditto doesn’t take as much from a Struggle from an opposing Ditto. It has the minimum possible speed, so that the Ditto’s Imposter does not activate first, and therefore has more Transform PP, will not Struggle and win the 1v1. [this, while good information, is a bit clunky. If at all possible, it would be great for this to get trimmed down.]

Ditto is viable on any playstyle, but [I will fight you if you try to convince me ditto is good on HO; it isn't.] works best on balance/stall teams that appreciate its threatening presence and ability to deter opposing setup attempts by threating to revenge-kill opposing sweepers. Defensive Pokemon are great partners to Ditto, as they are able to chip defensive Pokemon and Substitute-users that Ditto may be vulnerable to; in return, Ditto checks the strong offensive Pokemon which may break through. In particular [that seemed largely like fluff to me] Necrozma-DM and Tyranitar work well with Ditto, as they can weaken boosted Xerneas or /Life Orb Yveltal before Ditto comes in and revenge kills. These two Pokemon are especially a problem, as they have a relatively high HP stat, increasing their bulk relative to Ditto. These Pokemon can also help by pressuring Xerneas/Yveltal to Dynamax, wasting at least two turns breaking through, allowing Ditto to KO afterwards with its own Dynamax. [good info but please reword it so that it is less vague since it's unclear what "these two pokemon" are referring to in each instance] Gothitelle is a rather niche option that helps to deal with passive Pokemon, in particular Blissey Chansey and Giratina [as a ghost, gira can't be trapped lol so you should come up with something else]. Ditto enjoys being at full or near full HP so it lives potential priority moves, and so defensive Defoggers such as Yveltal, Ho-Oh, (AC) and Giratina, which are able to clear hazards damaging Ditto, are invaluable teammates to it.

**Imposter-proof Pokemon**: Teams may have a combination of a sweeper which isn’t able to break through a specific Pokemon also on the team, in the event that a Ditto Transforms into the sweeper and threatens to reverse-sweep. [we need examples of some specifics and how they're self-improof]
**Priority-users**: While not very common in the metagame, boosted Pokemon with priority moves, such as Sucker Punch Yveltal Shadow Sneak Marshadow and Extreme Speed Rayquaza, may be able to OHKO or heavily damage the Ditto before getting revenge killed.

Largely good work, but you need to work on including more examples overall.

Ditto is one of the best revenge-killers in the metagame, being able to reliably revenge-kill sweepers such as chipped Xerneas, Calyrex-S, and Zacian-C, after the opposing team has used up its Dynamax -not really a necessary addition seeing as zacian-c can't dmax and calyrex is revenged regardless- .
