With a lot of threads running rampant on trading boards for pokemon that have been EV trained and things like Bold Shiny Cresselias, this leads me to think people are way too lazy to make their own pokemon and instead trade something good they have for pokemon that have been EV trained. Is there anyone out there that still uses their own pokemon that they breeded/caught as their Wi-Fi team (Meaning all 6 pokemon)?

Me personally, I'll trade for good pokemon with egg moves, but then I'll immediately breed them. I also don't use legendaries so I don't need to worry about trading for that aspect.

Same here. I had to trade to get some pokemon for egg moves, but I still bred. The 6 final product pokes are all mine though

The thing with me, I have to trade all my pokemon. I don't have Ranger and I don't have RSEFRLG. Plus I only got into breeding, and it's difficult right now (stupid Ralts, sucky IVs) so I need a good pokemon to offer.

Breeding is really difficult, that's why at the first glance of a good pokemon a person will put it as a offer. Of course I am going to use the Sneasel I bred in my team, but that's it

Oh what, I can't vote on the poll, apparently. Anyway, all of my pokes have been bred and trained from scratch by myself. Maybe thats why I'm so rubbish!

I hate breeding for IVs with a passion, and thus, I slowly worked my way up the ladder to the point where I have a variety of desirable pokemon that I can trade for anything I would normally have to breed.

I'm fine with EV training and such, and more often than not, I have to adjust my pokemon's EVs if they're already EV trained from a trade; it's just IVs that irk me.

i think only 1 pokemon of my team i use was bred by me. i traded for the rest. it's so much easier then breeding your own. just breed a few things that alot of people want, and start trading.

That's also what I was thinking. Since a lot of people are demanding Gallade, I took the advantage and started breeding for Will-o-Wisp Ralts.

I traded for some parents. Pokemon I use are all bred by me. Although one has boosted EXP because I had to breed in Fire Red (don't have Emerald) and trade to my cousin's Emerald for a Move Tutor move.

I've bred everything that I plan to use so far. I've traded for a few things, but I don't know if I'll use them - for instance, a really good Celebi given to me by Lupo. I also have a really awesome Gastly, but I may just end up using that to breed since it's Modest and I'm a speedwhore >.>

I only use traded pokemon for parents or for breeding moves... I'm hardcore when it comes to my team members...

I breed them all myself, train them all myself, get them ribbon'd up, and refuse to infect them with the Pokerus...

I only use Grade A 100% Organic Pokemon on my team!

EDIT: - Rant Alert -
I guess that's why it takes me so long to set up my teams... but then again, if it weren't for cloning, we'd probably see a lot less people using traded pokemon, as most people would have kept the true gems for themselves, rather than whoring them out.

I do all the breeding for egg moves and IVs by myself. At least for all the ones I plan to use on my team.

The only Traded pokemon I have on my team is a honchcrow I had to catch in collosium, and even then I technically am the original owner.

Didn't have much of a choice to breed an ADAMANT Gible. Won't for a Jolly Electivire. So yeah. ;[

I have about 30 Pokemon that I've raised for myself, all of them with very good IVs and a lot of under useds/never useds. The breeding I do while watching anime or reading the forums, so it isn't boring. The only traded Poke that I use is a Latios that I got from GTS (the lucky guy has 30 speed IV).
This way I can also rename to their japonese name so they won't have the Caps-locked name (sadly the game has Katakana and hiragana, but we can't use them ~~).

things like my blissey weavile and specsmence (things i use alot) are from trades. things like my Dusknoir, Sceptile or Infernape are my own.

it depends on how much time im willing to spend on a certain pokemon.

Well, I technically use my own Pokemon. Back in ADV I would create a team in my other games and then start a new file with a team ready in mind, fully EV trained and with the correct natures. For instance, in my second Sapphire game I threw a L22 Sceptile and Crobat in to take on Roxanne and Brawley, respectively. Then I built an Aggron For Wattson, etc.

As Diamond is the first and only game, I haven't been able to plan like I did in ADV. However, I did meet someone in my class who had already beaten the game, so I somewhat did the same here. I caught a Modest Roselia in Ruby and raised it up in LeafGreen, had it Pal Parked, and then had it traded into Diamond. where I evolved it. So, technically, it's my Pokemon, though I did all the training in ADV.

I have OCD, so I have to have all pokémon with OT Callum. The only exceptions to this are event pokémon that can't have OT Callum. Therefore everything is either bred, soft-reset, or out.
