The mystical cavern at the center of Lake Acuity and Uxie's resting place. Due to such close proximity to the Knowledge Pokémon, battlers are subject to the following effects:

  • On odd-numbered rounds: Pokémon are forgetful and will not act on A1 of this round.
  • On even-numbered rounds: Pokémon's memories become sharp and remember to act. Each Pokemon gains a bonus action and will use the move they were ordered to use on A1 of the previous round in addition to their main orders. This bonus move will be used on A1.
    • Example: On Round 1, Pikachu is ordered to use Thundershock - Thunderbolt - Thunder. On Round 2, Pikachu is ordered to use Protect - Surf - Fly. On A1 of Round 2, Pikachu will use Thundershock in addition to its current orders. This means that Pikachu will use Protect at +3 priority and then use Thundershock afterward at +0 priority.
    • If the move is not able to be used (no more recoveries, attempting to use Protect consecutively, using a status move while under the effects of Taunt, etc.) then the Pokémon simply will not have a bonus move.

Profile as a Slowpoke:
Slow and dopey, Sheldon chugs along at his own pace. He has a sturdy body, so if he was attacked, he probably wouldn't even notice. He is often caught staring blankly into space.

Changes Upon Evolving:
One day, Sheldon was sitting at the beach, staring off into space with his usual blank expression when a Shellder flipped out of the water and chomped down hard on his tail, triggering his sudden evolution! Sheldon can now sit up straight, but he still finds it difficult to focus on what's in front of him. His intelligence seems to have increased a little bit, though. Just a bit. Sheldon's body is sturdier than it was as a Slowpoke and can now launch stronger Psychic and Water attacks.

How They Met:
Sheldon's original trainer was one of Doduodrio's friends who traded him in the hopes of evolving him. Unfortunately, before the trade happened, Sheldon managed to lose his King's Rock, and couldn't evolve into Slowking. Because he was a traded Pokemon, Sheldon is one of Doduodrio's strongest team members. His original trainer insists that he doesn't want to trade back for Sheldon, so Doduodrio has been raising him ever since.

Sheldon has "Shel" in it which references Slowbro's category, the "Hermit Crab" Pokemon.

Julie is very joyous! She loves flying long distances to places all over the world to learn about different cultures and people. She's the kind of person who loves mindfulness, mental health, and succulent plants. Even though she is a very nice Pokemon to be around, that doesn't mean Julie isn't tough to face in battle! :haxplane:

How They Met:
Julie and Node actually know each other because the nursery where Node's Egg came from was also the same place where Julie's Egg came from! ...Although Node is a lot younger than Julie, of course. On her travels, Julie wanted to go visit old friends and happened upon Node's barn where they caught up with each other. As a wanderer, Julie doesn't often stay in one place, but she always returns when it's time to battle!

Profile:
Lance loves getting compliments about his strength or his thick armor or just about anything, really. He can be cheerful or serious depending on his mood, but he can also be naive about many things. He likes to keep his armor nice and clean and his arms nice and sharp. When challenged to a battle, he will always happily accept.

How They Met:
Lance was found stuck to Bub one day (darn Magnet Pull), so Doduodrio had to help free him. It turned out that Rook and Lance had actually sparred together a really long time ago, so Rook invited Lance to join the team!

Name Origins:
Escavalier looks like it's ready to go jousting at a medieval tournament for knights! This reminded me of Lancelot from the King Arthur stories. I just shortened Lancelot to Lance.
