There's no reason to use Geodude over Onix. They do the exact same thing, but Onix does it better. He's got the same typing, better defensive stats, access to Taunt, Explosion, Roar and other fillers, and he's got less predictability because of the Weak Armor set. 17 base speed gives Onix the ability to outspeed most of the stuff that Geodude would be using Sucker Punch on anyways. So ye, this one seems like a no-brainer.
