Doom: UU RMT

So Im usually an OU player but decide to try out UU yesterday. I think my team is ok but still could use a lot of help. I guess you could call it a sunny day team but that is not the main focus of the team. My win loss ratio is about 40:60 which is pretty bad. Any help would be apreciated.

Team Building Process:

So I wanted to base my team around this guy. His flash fire ability gives Flamethrower a great boost and with Nasty Plot he makes a great sweeper.

Then I looked at Houndoom's weakness's. Water and ground were the most obivious so to counter that I went with Venusaur.

Then I went for a good defensive wall that could support the team with SR and Sunny day. Steelix was a good choice and makes a great lead.

Feraligator proves to be a good secondary sweeper when Houndoom fails. With Dragon Dance it can sweep through alot of teams.

UmbreonShinySprite.gif

I picked Umbreon next to wall and trap opponents and to provide some Wish support.

Next I needed a Rapid Spinner to get rid of those pesky SR so I chose Hitmonlee who also does a good job getting a fast hit once in a while. Now on to the team.

In Depth:

steelix.png

Impish-(Steelix) @ Heat Rock
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 252 Defense, 100 Hp, 152 SpDefense
-Stealth Rocks
-Sunny Day
-Stone Edge
-Crunch

Steelix makes an amazing lead for this team. It sets up SR and Sunny Day while being able to take a lot of hits. It also serves as bait to get the flash fire boost. Stone Edge is there to damge leads that resist Crunch and Crunch is there to kill the ever so common Mespirit or Mismagious. Usually he just sets up SR and Sunny Day and switches to a better counter but sometimes he kill a few pokes before he comes back.

feraligatr.png

Jolly- (Feraligator) @ Life Orb
Ability- Torrent
EVs: 252 Attack, 142 Speed, 116 Defence
-Dragon Dance
-Waterfall
-Aqua Jet
-Brick Break

I know two water moves is not very smart but I wanted a priortity move that could revenge some weakened pokes. Brick Break is there to kill ground and normal types. This gator is most handy when Umbreon traps a Fire or Water poke with mean look. It then can set up a few DD's and sweep from there.

Timid- (Venusaur) @ Black Sludge
Ability- Overgrow
EVs: 252 SpAttack, 142 Hp, 116 Speed
-Solarbeam
-Leaf Storm
-Sleep Powder
-Synethesis

This is where Steelix's Sunny Day comes in handy with one turn Solarbeams Venusaur almost always OHKO's any water or ground pokemon. It can also put an opposing poke to sleep and heal away the damge with synthesis. 142 Hp evs give it some extra bulk and allow it to take some more hits.

hitmonlee.gif

Adamant- (Hitmonlee) @ Choice Scarf
Ability- Limber
EVs: 252 Speed, 252 Attack
-Rapid Spin
-Close Combat
-Stone Edge
-Sunny Day

This is where I don't know what to do. Hitmonlee is ok but i'm sure there are better rapid spinners out there that would fit this team better. Overall Hitmonlee has helped me in some areas like revenge killing and getting rid of entry hazards but has hurt me due to its frail defences and average Hp. He is my main Clefable counter and can also revenge kill some ground and rock pokemon.

umbreon.jpg

Bold- (Umbreon) @ Leftovers
Ability- Synchronize
EVs: 252 Hp, 142 Defense, 116 SpDefense
-Wish
-Mean Look
-Baton Pass
-Pusuit

Umbreon is important to this team because it can trap a pokemon that does not pose a threat to my sweepers then Baton Pass, and then the sweepers can set up easily and sweep. She also provides valuable Wish Support and is a great defensive and SpDefensive wall. Without her it would be impossible for the sweepers to have any surivalibility.

houndoom.png

Timid- Doom (Houndoom) @ Life Orb
Ability- Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpAttack, 252 Speed
-Nasty Plot
-Flamethrower
-Solarbeam
-Pursuit

With Flash fire and Sunny day Flamethrower becomes a OHKO to almost any pokemon. Throw in a Nasty Plot and now flamethrower will even OHKO pokes that resisit it. Solarbeam is there to take out waters and ground in case Venasuar has died and PPursuit is there to hit things switching out, however I'm sure there is a better move I could use.

This team has been really fun to play with but could use some improvement so any suggestions would be useful.

dont reserve threat lists, just post them, if you make one I can put it as your deleted post, this is just for future reference. thanks.

I'm still new at rateing but having a choiced poke with weather seems like a bad idea imo mabey try Claydol who can not only set up rocks and Sunny Day well but can also spin just a suggestion best of luck fellow UUer

I find that sunny day is a waste for just one pokemon while being detrimental to both steelix and feraligatr.
ALSO Steelix needs earthquake replace stone edge with it and replace sunny day with crunch
Hitmonlee needs his set revamped as rapid spin and sunny day from a frail choiced attacker will only hurt you in the long run
I recommend hitmontop as a spinner or keep lee but use a earthquake stone edge CC and maybe mach punch.
