Doubles [DOU] Suicune

Suicune @ Wiki Berry
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 HP / 48 Def / 44 SpA / 108 SpD / 56 Spe
Calm Nature
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Tailwind
- Roar / Snarl

While Suicune prefers to create auroras out in the wild, in Doubles OU it often prioritizes wind instead. Suicune stands out from other Tailwind setters thanks to the combination of Roar and Inner Focus. Roar goes before Trick Room, thus outright denying the move, which would otherwise be a massive threat to Tailwind teams. What's more, Inner Focus stops it from getting flinched by Fake Out, a tool often employed by Trick Room teams to guarantee said field condition. Suicune's EV spread lets it take a Thunderbolt from Life Orb Tapu Koko and +1 Tectonic Rage from Zygarde while keeping enough Speed for Naive Deoxys-A under Tailwind. That being said, while Suicune does have impressive bulk, its firepower is quite lackluster, so teammates that can make up for that and appreciate some Tailwind turns, such as Tapu Lele, Kyurem-B, and Mega Metagross, are great picks. Meanwhile, Mega Gengar lets allies make the most out of Tailwind, preventing opposing defensive switches.

lyd requested some QC
- you mention roar goes before TR but you don't highlight the significance of phazing TR i think. remember to mention how bad TR is for tailwind-reliant teams
- "elseways" doesn't seem to be a word; try like "additionally" or "furthermore" (or even "what's more" for a more informal tone)
- there's kind of a non sequitur between the point about ev spreads and suicune's passive nature of play - maybe something like "Though Suicune boasts impressive defenses, however, it falls short on the offensive front, playing very passively most of the time." or something like that idk
- honestly the point about mega gengar is a bit iffy because the reason you're using such a bulky tailwind support is to be able to get it up with minimal support. mega gengar is more useful in helping suicune's allies make the most of their tailwind turns by trapping relevant targets in so the opponents can't make defensive switches

Suicune's Speed is for Naive Deo-A, not Rash. Also, Zygarde's not the *best* example of something that appreciates Tailwind turns since it can boost its Speed already - maybe use Mega Metagross instead?

If this hasn't been grammar checked by the end of the night I'll probably do that
