Doublade's excellent typing and bulk enable it to check and set up on Heracross, Mienshao, Cobalion, and Stakataka. However, Doublade struggles with its heavy reliance on Eviolite to augment its bulk and general competition with other Steel- and Ghost-types like Cobalion, Alolan Marowak, and Metagross. Doublade is also easily revenge killed because of the prevalance of Zarude, and many faster threats like Xurkitree and Noivern easily avoid an OHKO from +2 Shadow Sneak. Shadow Claw is resisted by very few Pokemon and gives Doublade a more powerful Ghost-type attack to hit the likes of Galarian Slowbro, Metagross, and Golisopod. Alternatively, Iron Head enables Doublade to threaten Fairy-types like Galarian Weezing, Togekiss, and Sylveon. Close Combat hits Steel-types like Cobalion, Steelix, and Stakataka as well as Dark-types like Zarude, Incineroar, and Obstagoon. Toxic can be used to weaken Pokemon like Seismitoad and Milotic, which otherwise check it, but is difficult to fit into Doublade's moveset. 44 Speed EVs enable Doublade to outpace uninvested Rhyperior.

Togekiss and Galarian Weezing check troublesome Dark-types like Incineroar and Zarude for Doublade. Assault Vest Reuniclus and Galarian Slowbro help Doublade answer certain Fairy- and Psychic-types that it can't adequately check like Necrozma, Gardevoir, and Sylveon as well as other special attackers that capitalize on its poor Special Defense like Noivern and Raikou. Grass-types like Zarude, Roserade, and Rotom-C threaten Water-types that check Doublade like Milotic, Seismitoad, and Suicune. These same Water-types also partner well with Doublade by checking the likes of Rhyperior, Darmanitan, and Incineroar.

Doublade's excellent (I don't think u should say excellent, I feel like ur overhyping it, but ask the ru disc if they think its overhyping or not.) typing and bulk enables it to check Heracross, Meinshao, (in the second paragraph u mention knock of absorbers, however, u just mentioned it can check 2 knock off users, either remove these mentions, or list new ones, FYI in a 1v1 heracross is gonna win. ) Cobalion, Stakataka, and Glastrier, and set upon them with Swords Dance( u rlly cant set up on em tho, only coba, I would just remove this part.) however it faces stiff competition as a setup Steel-type from Cobalion due to its much greater utility and speed. Shadow Sneak helps Doublade compensate for its poor speed. Shadow Claw gives Doublade a more powerful Ghost-type STAB to hit the likes of Galarian Slowbro, Metagross, and Golisopod and is resisted by very few Pokemon in the tier. Toxic can be used in order to cripple checks like Seismitoad, Zarude, and Rhperior Rhyperior, but is its hard to fit into Doublade's moveset (I doubt toxic should get a mention since it leads to coverage issues). 44 Speed enables Doublade to outpace uninvested Rhyperior and Golisopod, and Dhelmise. (Dhelmise isn't on the vr, also golispod is usually invested in speed, but i will leave it like that. )

As a Ghost-type and an Eviolite user, Doublade must be doubly careful of switching into Knock Off; consequently, Knock Off absorbers like Galarian Weezing and Rest + Sleep Talk Suicune make for great teammates. Galarian Weezing also answers certain Dark-types like Zarude, Incineroar, and Obstagoon. Suicune and other bulky Water-types like Seismitoad, Gastrodon, and Milotic also help out against Fire-types like Incineroar, Darmanitan, and Alolan Marowak. Assault Vest Reuniclus and Galarian Slowbro help Doublade answer certain Fairy- and Psychic-types that Doublade can't adequately check such as Necrozma, Gardevoir, and Sylveon. Grass-types like Zarude, Roserade, and Rotom-C threaten defensive Water-types that check Doublade like Milotic, Seismitoad, and Suicune.

Doublade's excellent typing and bulk enables it to check Heracross, Meinshao Mienshao (typo), Cobalion, Stakataka, and Glastrier and set up on them with Swords Dance. However, Doublade faces stiff competition as a Steel-type from Cobalion due to its much greater utility and speed, and it must also compete with Mimikyu as a Ghost-type Swords Dance user. (discussed with some members of qc, doublade's too unique of a mon to directly compare to specific mons, rework the negatives according to the points listed below) Shadow Sneak helps Doublade compensate for its poor speed. (mention some faster attackers sneak is / can be good for). Shadow Claw gives Doublade a more powerful Ghost-type STAB to hit the likes of Galarian Slowbro, Metagross, and Golisopod, and is resisted by very few Pokemon in the tier. Toxic can be used to weaken Pokemon like Seismitoad and Milotic which otherwise check it, but is difficult to fit into Doublade's moveset. 44 Speed EVs enable Doublade to outpace uninvested Rhyperior, and Golisopod, and Dhelmise although it has to be noted that most variants of Golisopod have Speed investment. (dhelmise always runs speed).

negatives of doublade
- reliance on eviolite for bulk (list this first, probs the main reason why doublade isnt better than it is)
- competes for team slots with other ghost- and steel-types (list some) -> might cause confusion due to its similarity with the pt i deleted, basically this means to not directly compare it to specific mons, but rather just have a general mention of team slot competition and list some viable ghosts and steels
- hard to find set-up opportunities because of its speed
- easily revenge killed by faster attackers (list some)

Togekiss and Galarian Weezing check troublesome Dark-types like Incineroar and Zarude for Doublade. Assault Vest Reuniclus and Galarian Slowbro help Doublade answer certain Fairy- and Psychic-types that Doublade can't adequately check like Necrozma, Gardevoir, and Sylveon. Grass-types like Zarude, Roserade, and Rotom-C threaten several Water-types that check Doublade like Milotic, Seismitoad, and Suicune. These same Water-types also partner well with Doublade thanks to their ability to check the likes of Rhyperior, Darmanitan, and Incineroar.

mention teammates that can help w faster special attackers, cuz those would generally be able to always revenge kill doublade
