  • All rounds will be First to 2 Wins. You may switch teams in between battles of the same set.
  • Matches are to be played on Pokémon Showdown! or SmogTours.

General Tournament Rules:

  • Identity: I expect many battles to be completed under alts. This can be bad for tournament security, and thus I will make this clear: If I hear any whispers of identity theft (battling as someone you are not) or proxy battling (helping someone else battle through pm) I will not be pleased and I will take severe actions.
  • Timer Clause: As for taking long between moves, if your opponent asks you to hurry up, please oblige. If you are doing a damage calc for a key turn that is one thing, but prolonging every move is suspicious and annoying. Don't do it. Furthermore, Battle Timeout is a rule for a reason. If you run out of time, you lose, simple as that. It does not matter what your opponent says. Do not battle if you think you will have to leave mid battle, and instead reschedule for a better time.
  • Disconnections: Finally, in the case of a disconnect, the decision is in the hands of the player who did not disconnect. The options are: redo the battle move for move, redo the battle with the same teams but different moves, or redo the battle with completely different teams. If the battle was without a doubt over, they may also take the win. Any suspicion that a disconnect was committed on purpose to redo a match may be appealed to me, and if I feel this happened there will be severe consequences, don't do it.
This is a Type B tournament in the LC Doubles circuit. Doubles LC resource thread for resources. Doubles LC damage calculator for damage calcs.

Predictions time! One last time for this tour... Hoping for great games but more importantly, hoping for everyone of the 3 contestant to have fun and enjoy the series. Let's get into it.

#2 Neblina v. #3 Paraplegic (45-55) - Honestly this is the match that in my opinion decides it. Neblina has had a pretty impressive run and has showed to be a force to be recognised. However Paraplegic is a man on a mission and is so focused into winning this tour. Both players prepare a lot their games so it comes down to which one plays it the best. I'm giving Paraplegic the edge here because unlike neblina i don't recall him making any mistakes during the games, Neblina tho, can take it home if he gets to play at his peak and play well like he already have done at some points during this tour.
#2 Neblina v. #12 Akaru Kokuyo (60-40) - As i said above Neblina is to me the only one that can take it from Paraplegic here because while i absolutely think Akaru is at the same level of Neblina to not say higher, Akaru's lack of experience with the tier and more importantly lack of building abilities pays a huge price on him to the point that some big change on Akaru's end is going to be needed for him to win (or Neblina to have one of those poorly played games that he already had in past rounds).
#3 Paraplegic v. #12 Akaru Kokuyo (65-35) - I'm not going to go long on this just combine what i said on the above matches. Paraplegic is so much more involved than Akaru to the point where outplaying him in the builder is pretty hard. On top of that Paraplegic is actually a superior in skill level than Akaru and that just comes to show from the semifinals games where Akaru had some issues at certain points versus DuGuo while Para swept Gasai in 2 pretty convicingly.

With these said i'd be happy with any of the 3 winning and i wish the best of te luck to all 3. :quagchamppogsire: :psyglad:
