  • Follow all rules listed here.
  • Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for me to make decisions for activity calls when I can actually see what went down with scheduling.
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to me or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.
  • Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.
  • Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.
  • Managers: Please send me your lineups in the same format that I used to post pairings. It makes it much easier to post future rounds more quickly.

Quick thoughts about some personal highlight games

SV DOU: bage1 vs Paraplegic
Matchup between two good players that constantly builds new teams. Bagel is fresh off an invitationals win where his excellent prep since the first round gave him a huge edge in the remaining rounds. Para also preps like crazy but tends to favor more niche anti-meta picks that can be hit or miss. There's like a 25% chance this game becomes Psyspam vs. Brute Bonnet sun but either way I'm excited to see what these two cook up. Giving the win to bagel cause he's had a monster season.

BW DOU: DaWoblefet vs Tman
This is the highlight game of the week to me. We all know that they're both strong players but I'm really interested in seeing what team both of these guys use. Dawob has a very solid grasp of the meta and last DPL, we saw him trying some anti-meta mons like Deoxys-A and Gastrodon. Tman is supported by zee, who also has a good grasp of the meta and is more than willing to experiment with unique sets. Dawob has been a super consistent BW performer so it's hard to pick against him but I wouldn't be surprised to see this go either way. I'm gonna be sad if I see a Gastrodon mirror tho :l

SM DOU: SMB vs Croven
SMB and Croven are arguably the two best SM players. IMO they both also have very different playstyles with SMB being a little more technical and tends to make the "correct" plays whereas Croven is more intuitive and read-heavy (aka he's a clicker) so it's always fun to watch them play. Croven has qsns support so I'm giving him the edge. I'm hoping that qsns doesn't get too caught up in playing Spire with Croven tho so we can see some new SM teams :murmstare: I don't really have much to add after that, it's two really good players in the doubles tier that I think has the highest skill expression.

SV DOU: SHIMA vs YoBuddy-Shima did well in SV recently, and YoBuddy needs to show his redemption in SV after last season

SM DOU: Charlotte vs zoe-Don’t know too much about Charlotte in dou, and Zoe will be toxic to herself enough for the W

BW DOU: Fran vs yuki-I’ve heard Fran’s a strong oldgens player.

SS DOU: Loudwinner vs Mishimono-Mishi might be a bit rusty, but he’ll still have his fundamentals. Loudwinner’s a SS newcomer, hence Mishi bold
SM DOU: Yoda2798 vs Ann-I feel like Ann is underrated still, even after going 5-2 last dpl
XY DOU: SingleThunder vs zee-Zee’s mostly dominant in XY
BW DOU: DaWoblefet vs Tman-Wob’s king of BW, though Tman has something to prove after going 2-5 last dpl so this will be a fun one to watch
