Sorry everyone, I totally dropped the ball on this one. laptops takes this... week....... ahem. Let's get it rolling again with a Pokemon that has a new tool in its arsenal!

With the release of its hidden ability, Incineroar now offers Intimidate support in addition to its combination of bulk and utility. Previously almost entirely overshadowed by Scrafty, the release of Intimidate has given Incineroar new life. Incineroar also packs a solid movepool containing Fake Out, U-turn, Taunt, Snarl, Low Kick, and decent STAB attacks in Knock Off/Darkest Lariat and Flare Blitz, providing some flexibility to whichever team on which Incineroar may be needed. How will this newly revitalized Pokemon find its way into the metagame? Show off your builds below!

Deadline for submissions is Friday, March 16th at 11:59pm EST

Just a basic squad with standard mons that make sense together.

Zygarde + Fake Out disrupter is already a proven formula (miltankmilk's Metagross and Scizor builds come to mind), and the type synergy between Incineroar and Zygarde just seems a bit tighter than Scrafty + Zygarde cores. Incineroar is also a bit better equipped to support Calm Mind Tapu Fini, since it threatens out Grass-types and doesn't take an L from Tapu Koko's Dazzling Gleam (in fact, LO-boosted Thunderbolt is a 3HKO on AV Incineroar).

Other than the Incineroar, the Pokemon on this team are pretty standard and don't really need further explanation. The one thing to note is that I wanted to keep my stealth rock weakness to a minimum, since Incineroar struggles a lot with them.

Wanted to try incineroar + gardevoir because they seem to have good synergy but TR garde has been tried and is just not very good so i went with a faster one. But garde is one of those mons that needs heavy speed control support so I added fini zap just for a solid core and kartana because it gives FWG core, steel type and is just a p good tw setter. added zygarde on the end because it also thrives off of tw support and spamming hyper voice + thousand arrows is sogood. the incineroar spread is ablasts but outspeeds mgross in tw. i think hp ice is better for this team on zap so i dont get smacked by opposing zyg since my intimidator cant pivot in on it

I really like the combo of fake out+mega aero because it allows aero to get up tailwind vs or get off huge damage vs common setters like zap and mence. Incin also beats steels for aero. Av gene is really good in the current meta and it has good coverage and lets me maintain good positioning with u-turn from it and incin. Spread ohkos lele and zyg with dump in bulk. Fini gives me a needed water resist and defensive backbone. Zyg is another steel breaker and helps me chip teams for bulu to break through. Bulu is another rain check and helps me to break waters and passive stuff. sd grassium is rly threatening.

Initially, I want to build a Trick Room team focus on Incineroar, but that was difficult. So I ended with a Tailwind team instead. Aside from the fact that Incineroar doesn't have Assault Vest and the team lacked a Grass-type Pokemon, it's fairly standard. I only post the team because I feel like building a team focus on Incineroar than anything.

Our winner this week is AuraRayquaza, congratulations! His team and description have now earned a place in the Hall of Fame. If you want the chance to join them...

... build with Politoed! This rain-summoning frog lost a large part of its niche with the release of Drizzle Pelipper in SM, but on the right team its combination of Helping Hand, Encore, and special bulk allow it to shine over the pelican. Politoed's role is nearly entirely comprised of support, but don't discount the power of a rain-boosted Scald or Hydro Pump. Even without investment, rain-boosted Hydro Pump OHKOes max HP Landorus-T. Politoed might not have access to Tailwind like its Drizzle competition, but Icy Wind provides another form of Speed control if you so desire. With three different viable rain sweepers, there's a bit of versatility, so see what you can come up with!

Deadline for submissions is Friday, March 23rd at 11:59pm EST!

ManePsyRain, pretty similar to what I brought to SPL vs MiltankMilk.
Toed here, other than setting rain, acts as a one time fast pivot with eject button which helps get frailer mons onto the field and also keep weather/terrain up. Something Manectric's Volt Switch also plays into. Helping Hand provides the extra push often needed. Icy Wind can be used to punish opponent's avoiding targetting the Poli and Perish can close out certain endgames.
The general idea for using Manectric on this style of team is for the pivoting to keep your positioning positive. Being faster than Rash Deo-A (and Ludi outside of Rain) also allows it to Volt out into Lele (or Toed) to set up the damage boost on the same turn they attack allowing for certain combo kos you couldn't get with just a switch-in. Parts of the team also benefit from Lightning Rod. The best bit though is when your opp has to use Koko to remove Psy Terrain and you push back with Elec Terrain boosted Thunders.
A bunch of stuff is slashable here, so if you're using this play around with sets and items (especially on Deo and Lele) until you find what you're comfortable with.

Surf on ludicolo is pretty cool, what was your reasoning for doing that instead of scald or a coverage move or even fake out?

Primarily I wanted some spread damage. There are a lot of situations where you can throw a Surf out to take a knock out and damage the other mon enough for something else to pick off. Particularly nice is self-ejecting Politoed after a HH or switch in, I've used that maneuver a few times.
It probably seems really counter intuitive to have Surf when it outspeeds most of my own team, which is dominantly frail mons, but I've found myself in many situations towards the late end of opposing TR or tailwind where I use Surf and an attack with the other mon simply because they either target down ludi and it doesn't go through or they targetted down the partner and I wouldn't end up hitting myself anyway.
If it where to be anything else it would be Ice Beam to slightly improve the Mence/Bulu matchups. Fake Out is something I'd swap around with Protect, I want more attack options than fewer on Ludi. Scald is just simply too weak, for single target, without a boosting item in my opinion. Though accuracy is obviously very attractive.

I really liked politoed+swampert rain back in oras and I haven't really built rain much this gen, so I thought swampert would be a fun pick for this week. The movesets are all pretty standard on the team. Swampert is the teams main wincon by sweeping in rain. Politoed is really passive and eject button lets it pivot out. The spread lets it live a helping hand crit eq from swampert and still be able to eject out and preserve rain, then a dump in spdef. Ferro is really hard to kill in rain and forms a nice defensive core with volc, whose steam eruptioins are not easy to switch into while rain is up. Without pelliper I needed another form of speed control and chose zapdos who helps the team with killing bulky waters like fini which it otherwise struggled against and gives swampert something to eq next to. Finally lele hits hard and helps chunk bulky rain checks like kyub, lets zap boost its bulk with a seed, and helps remove grassy terrain which can really hurt swampert's sweeping potential

We're tackling the offensive behemoth Icium Z Kyurem-B! The enormous power behind this set made it take off in popularity during SPL, leaving another viable alternative to Assault Vest and Life Orb sets. When paired with strong Electric- or Ground-type Pokemon like Tapu Koko or Zygarde that appreciate Kyurem-B plowing through their resistances, the few Pokemon left that could withstand a normal hit will be severely damaged by a Subzero Slammer. A Stealth Rock weakness and the lack of bulk leave it easily whittled down, so don't expect Icium Kyurem-B to stick around for long, but it can nearly always claim a KO. What team can you build that appreciates this deadly dragon?

Deadline for submissions is Wednesday, April 4th at 11:59pm EST!

Good Gentlemen, permission I'll leave my shit here

Good Gentlemen, I'll leave my shit here, The present team gives us a sample of the consolidation that can be a form competitive, as we were watching the offensive power of Kyurem with Icinium observe Setmon that can be combined with this kyubi, Celestela Misty seed to have Something with Rain and solidity to face swampert, Fini Support Set-up, Mega Tyranitar for the crazy rains of pelliper and politoed :3 Lando and Incineroar as Intimidate support and the time can give decisive blows in the Battles. The Check Competitive and Defiant, you have play very well againts it.

Shamelessly posting an SPL team since I think this is a pretty good showcase of Icium Z Kyurem. Made a couple slight changes (like dropping Knock Off on Fini since Lax is gone) but otherwise this is the team talkingtree and I built to use in week 3 of SPL vs marilli. This is pretty much just a standard Mega Scizor team with a few twists. We all know that Fini / Zapdos / Kyurem is a great core, but instead of the more popular AV Kyurem I went with a super offensive Icium Z variant with Freeze Shock. Subzero Slammer is great for picking off pretty much anything that doesn't resist and doing a huge chunk of damage through Protects (see: 60% to Kommo-o against marilli in SPL). We decided on Spooky Plate Aegislash and Choice Band Zygarde in keeping with the more offensive theme, since I think one of the downfalls of Fini Zapdos teams is overall passivity. Scizor is the standard SD set, while Fini is a pretty standard support set.
