DP Porygon-Z

Nope I clearly meant having slashitis for the fourth slot, because the bottom line is that it can viably run any of them.

Slashitis to me is when you have so many slashes that various combinations of them can change the purpose of the set.

In this case, having the various moves for the fourth slot simply changes what it can and cannot beat; the purpose is the same.

I'm still advocating putting as many moves there as are viable.

Well, I'll put Ground back in, but Fighting lowers your maximum speed to 278. I personally do NOT want to risk a speed tie with Heatran, especially since you're most likely packing an attack that can OHKO it after you set up.

What reason is there to use HP Ground over HP Fighting? Wouldn't Heatran be destroyed by a +2 HP Fighting anyways? Are you really that worried about Metagross? We can eliminate that option completely imo.

HP Fighting is good.

Dark Pulse really isn't relevant since anything that would be hit by it (Gengar) would be destroyed by a +2 HP Water/Thunderbolt. I would scrap that too.

Thunderbolt is "meh". I guess if you really hate Skarmory and lol Empoleon....

HP Water is the best choice for the main option. HP Fighting should probably be next. Thunderbolt is a decent third option. Nothing else really needs to be in the actual set, just a mention of Dark Pulse and its awesome flinch chance. Scrap HP Ground altogether imo.

Well Jrrrrrrr, the thing is, I personally would be content with HP Water as the only option, but Aldaron says I should have as many viable options as possible. This is because the last slot depends on the other team members. If you can take out Gengar, but Metagross gives your team problems, Hidden Power Ground could be used... if Tyranitar is a major problem, use Hidden Power Fighting, if you need to take down Dusknoir or something (lol) you could use Dark Pulse.

Because there is no way to get maximum Speed with Hidden Power fighting, I scrapped it. Tying with Scarftran, one of the few faster pokemon you can set up on, is a bad thing. You can squeeze a Salac and a Sub, or a Salac and a Plot out of it if it switches in as a you used Substitute.

Thunderbolt is, as you said, pretty "meh" but it got a lot of neutrality so before I brainstormed Hidden Power Water, I was using it, as it hit a lot of the steel pokemon for neutral.

Hidden Power Water is a great move for Porygon-Z, and usually works better compared to Thunderbolt, or most of the other moves avaliable to it.
I've tried this out many times in battle, and it works wonders. Can usually pull of two Nasty Plots with the right prediction.

Switch in on something you know can't do much to you, then Sub on the Switch. If they're faster, keep subbing as they break your previous substitute until you have the boost. If not, Nasty Plot and prepare to sweep.

At first I thought this couldn't possibly work, but when I tried it, it worked wonders. You may want to swap around the EV's for more power, as sometimes I find myself coming just short of killing certain steel types.

I don't really care man just do what you want for that last slot, fix it up, and say when it can be put on the site lol.

I'm pretty comfortable with it as is. Unless you've got any objections...?

@ Chenn: I would love to pump a bit more power into it, but if I remove the SpD EVs, then you will have a harder time against Blissey. As is, it's pretty risky against Seismic Toss Blissey, but it does work. It absolutely rapes any Blissey that lacks Seismic Toss though, and this advantage is worth the slight (9%) drop in power. Have you tried it against Flamethrower Toxic Blissey? It can't break the sub in one hit!

Just a note in here verifying how badass Porygon-Z is with Hidden Power Water. Just throw Empoleon in the Counters section when you edit and you're done.

(side note I have to remember to start using Empoleon now that Kingdra is picking up popularity)

Heh, this turned out way better than I thought it would! I am proud of myself... :)

Thanks for all the input and support guys! And a very special thanks to Paranoid Drone, who reminded me about the SpD EVs. They were in the original design but I forgot them.

Few typos in there but don't worry about, I'll correct them for you and upload this to SCMS in a few hours (just wait to see if there are last minute posts).

I spell checked it, but there is probably grammatical or pokemon related capitalization errors. Thanks a lot Caelum... :)

Oops, forgot to upload this. It's on now though. I guess this can be moved to the archive?

@ skiddle: No problem.
