DP Research Thread #5 (Newest yet)

This is what happened recently in a couple of battles:

This all happened in ONE turn:

Peachfuzz switched in Gardevoir!
Gardevoir Traced Poliwrath's Water Absorb!
Opponent switched in Claydol!

This was another battle:

Opponent switched in Salamence!
Salamence's intimidate cut Flygon's attack!
Peachfuzz switched in Scizor!

Should Gardevoir have Traced Claydol's ability Levitate? Should Salamence have Intimidated Scizor? How is switching order determined? Is this the correct way that abilities and switches are supposed to occur?

In the SQ/SA thread, someone said that switching order is determined by the pokemon on the field before the switches. Is this how it's supposed to be? So in the first battle the pokemon on Peachfuzz's side was faster than Poliwrath?

Sorry if this doesn't belong here, but I think I would get a much more thorough answer in this thread.

I believe it was established that if a Pokemon uses 6 Calm Minds, then 3 Stockpiles, then Spit Up/Swallow, it retains its +6 Special Defense modifier. However, if that same Pokemon uses 3 Calm Minds, then 3 Stockpiles, then tries Calm Mind again, what happens? Will the game report that its Special Defense can't be increased? If so, will the Pokemon still have only +3 Sp. Def after Spit Up/Swallow, or +4?

Edit: Also, if you use the Custap glitch, can you Recycle the item that was consumed?

Spit Up and friends reduce special defence and defence levels by the amount that was gained through Stockpile. If Stockpile did not increase the pokemon's stat levels, Spit Up and friends will not decrease them.
