(Not to distract everyone from the tour thread so I’ll try to keep it short) I am gonna go ahead and defend le don for this

I was tempted to reply to the thread too (because I disagree with it to quite a large degree) so it’s not just le don that has an issue with it but it was gonna be locked anyways due to no permission

but I share largely the same sentiment, I am not sure if you read all the discussions surrounding mew within the dpp community but if you did you would notice that a lot - I would even say the majority of active and known dpp players are heavily opposed to suspecting mew, and there is a good reason for it. I really appreciate the effort put into posting / making an infographic but imho the reasoning behind it is not sound, I think you heavily underestimated the implications behind a mon with jirachi stats getting every single move it would ever want.

For reference’s sake the argument of scarf scizor + scarf tyranitar “countering” mew is extremely flimsy at best - that’s the same as saying machamp is okay bc you can just use slowbro. (Even worse tbh I think slotting in slowbro is easier than scarf sciz scarf tar lol)
Even putting aside that please look at this calc real quick

252 Atk Tyranitar Crunch vs. 252 HP / 220+ Def Celebi: 200-236 (49.5 - 58.4%) -- 98.4% chance to 2HKO after sandstorm damage and Leftovers recovery

Which means you can literally go into tyranitar on roost / soft-boiled and lose to it because crunch into burnt crunch doesn’t kill as it recovers on your face. In fact, choice band tyranitar cannot beat it either as it will just get burnt and guess what it lives two of that too (does less than 50, can recover indefinitely). Lum tyranitar can, in fact, lose to being wisped twice as well and that’s discounting the possibility that offensive mew can run aura sphere so even wispless sets aren’t safe. So theoretically 0 tyranitar sets beat it unless you’re running like specs dark pulse lol. Idk how this sounds to you but this probably isn’t okay for me (I would describe it as a gengar that is impossible to kill which even normal gengar is a doozy already) and all this is discounting all the other possibilities. Even if you somehow know it’s coming it’s really difficult to answer.

I just want to mention that Mew can make the tier healthier by reducing paraspam to only Natural Cure users because of his ability. So in other words mons like Jirachi, Latias, Zapdos, Rotom, and Togekiss would have their paraspam strategies reduced. Most players hate paraspam so Mew could benefit the tier in this way. With Mew around players can't so easily click Thunder Wave or Body Slam without being penalized.

Also I wanted to add to my post that Scarf Latias and Rotom can work around Sucker Punch through using Trick on the Sucker Punch, which would essentially turn Mew into setup bait.

But anyway lets not get off too off topic lmao
