ORAS OU Drag/Mag Core Team

Hello, and today I will be showing you my newly-made (about a week ago) ORAS team.

Here it is.

Custard (Dragonite) (Male) @ Choice Band
Ability: Multiscale
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Outrage
- Extreme Speed
- Fire Punch
- Earthquake
url

I started out with an Idea to make a team with a Drag/Mag core, so I started with a very offensive Dragonite. I gave him Choice Band to make him a very ferocious attacker, and I gave him Outrage STAB to 2HKO or OHKO any non-resistant Pokes (Not counting Blobs), I gave it Extreme Speed so if a Pokemon is low, it can quickly take it out (once again ignoring blobs). Fire Punch is used to take out Pokemon who stand in Drags way, but can still be taken out, like Mega Scizor, or Ferrothorn (usually I'd do that if it was one of the last three mons left on the opponent team for Ferro). Earthquake is used to take out Pokemon like Heatran and Excadrill which can wall this set pretty easily. It is also very good with fairies. I gave it 252 Atk so it could become a literal attacking monster, and 252 Spe so that it could outspeed some threats. 4Def is so it can withstand some attacks. Adamant nature is for making it become the most overpowered Attacker in the battle.

Taser Tommy (Magnezone) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Flash Cannon
- Thunderbolt
url

When using Dragonite, there's always the issue of Dragons,Fairies,Rocks, and Ice. I used Magnezone to shield off those weaknesses, and take some help with ground, fighting, and fire with Dragonite in return. I gave it Choice Scarf to outspeed common threats to zone. I gave it Volt Switch so it could Pivot well into Dragonite, or whatever. I gave it Hidden Power Fire to take out other threats like Ferro, or Sciz-M, as well as threats like Serperior. I gave it Flash Cannon to deal with pesky fairies, and Thunderbolt to deal with Threats like Azumarill, and Manaphy. I gave it a timid nature to help with outspeeding, and magnet pull to trap other steels which would rather switch out, allowing me to use HPFire. 252Spe is to once again help with speed, and 252SpA is to help the Speed, Sweep, and Absorb style of Zone. 4Def is to add a bit of bulk to him.

Anti-Seismologist (Landorus-Therian) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 8 SpD / 8 Spe
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Knock Off
- Stealth Rock

url

Landorus-Therian is to help set-up and pivot, as well as handle threats to the team like Mega Zam, and act as a backup if Dragonite and Excadrill faint. I gave him a rocky helmet to dish back some damage, and Intimidate because it's his only ability. I gave him Earthquake to do some good damage to any early game rapid spinners, and other goodies. U-Turn to pivot, and Knock Off to ruin some mons, and to stop Ferro from wreaking havoc. Stealth Rock to make it easier for others to sweep. 252 HP is to make him bulky, same with the 240 Def, and 8SpD, the 8Spe is just to outspeed some mons. An Impish nature boosts his bulk even farther.

Oceans Eleven (Manaphy) @ Leftovers
Ability: Hydration
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Tail Glow
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Energy Ball
url

Manaphy acts as an alternative-sweeper with coverage. The leftovers is to help it recover from large damage-dealing attacks. Hydration is the only ability. 252SpA and 252Spe, as well as the 4Def Bulk makes it a Special Sweeper. Timid is to outspeed some threats, since Tail Glow boosts Special Attack high enough. Scald is used to burn/take out any thing that it's weak to, and is also very good STAB. Ice Beam is for coverage against Pokemon like Dragonite, and Garchomp, or Gliscor. Energy Ball is good for taking out Keldeo and others.

Bad Fashionista (Weavile) @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Low Kick
- Icicle Crash
- Knock Off
- Ice Shard
url

Weavile acts as a speedy sweep, with priority, and flat out crazy speed. Life Orb is so that Weavile also has a decent powerboost without having to use Swords Dance. Pressure is because PickPocket wouldn't make sense with Life Orb. 252Atk is for a decent boost in attack, and 252 Spe is for an essential speedboost. 4Def just adds to the sweeper combo. Jolly is for more speed. Low Kick is there to take out threats like Heatran and Exca who are heavy, if switching is a terrible move. Icicle Crash is there for essential STAB, and Knock Off is to ruin sweepers, and kill Mew and Alakazam. Ice Shard is there to overprioritize other moves.

I iz Bulldoser (Excadrill) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Mold Breaker
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide
- Rapid Spin

url

This team was in need of a spinner to help Dragonite not get Stealthed. I chose Excadrill because of it's amazing offensive stats. I gave him a choice scarf to outspeed others, and Mold Breaker for Rotom-Wash, and others. He has 252Atk to increase his amazing Attack stat, and 252Spe to increase his speed to its limits. 4SpD is just for Sweeper Bulk. Jolly is to push his speed limits even farther. Earthquake is to add a third support, and is essential STAB, Iron Head is good STAB as well as a good counter to Fairies. Rock Slide is good for taking out fast fires, before they take out you. Rapid Spin is just to support Dragonite.

Thank you for reading my RMT, and I hope you will give some suggestions.

Hi, your team is not bad, a dragmag core its a sympathic playstyle but you can improve this team.

To begin you're really weak against Bisharp, it can potentially make bigs holes on your team : It comes on a non effective move like flash cannon and set-up with Swords Dance. It really suck.
So I recommend you to put Keldeo instead Manaphy, he resists his stabs and easily kills with secret sword. For the set i think you should run Sub Calm Mind Keldeo for sub safely on a +2 sucker punch and cause a lot of problems against stall

I think you can change Weavile and put Scarf Tyranitar because he can trapp kill lati@s and other mons like Gengar, Hoopa after a Hyperspace fury
and that way you have a second mon for check Bisharp. And also because Weavile does not come one Lati@s

Now you can run Sand Rush Excadrill to facilitate the rk and beat a dangerous mon like Tornadus-T. It also offers and second win condition. For the item Life Orb looks better than Air Balloon on your team because you have a great ground immunity in Landorus-Therian

At present you do not have to switch to Keldeo and you don't have a mega, So Defensive Dragon Dance Mega Altaria is a very good choice. It can also take better Mega Lopunny and set-up on Rotom-W, Sableye, Chansey, Thundurus with Heal Bell. This move can also help Keldeo, Tyranitar, Excadrill for portential Paralyses or Burn

Altaria @ Altarianite
Ability: Cloud Nine
EVs: 248 HP / 136 Def / 96 SpD / 28 Spe
Impish Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Roost
- Return
- Heal Bell

Keldeo @ Leftovers
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Substitute
- Scald
- Secret Sword

Tyranitar @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Pursuit
- Superpower
- Crunch

Excadrill @ Life Orb
Ability: Sand Rush
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide
- Swords Dance/Rapid Spin

I hope this will help you :) and sorry for my bad english/repetition

hi,
Your team doesnt have a mega. Sure there are some teams that might not 'need' a mega, however almost ever team is benefited by having one. Considering your weakness to bisharp sticks out as the most troublesome problem for the team, I will suggest a mega that can provide a secondary check to bisharp.

with dragonite and weavile on the team. Diancie can really help keep rocks off of your side of the field. Diancie helps provide a check to bisharp, birdspam, and sableye.
manaphy has been being prepped for more and more and the fact that it needs +3 to actually deal damage besides burning doesnt help its case either. Manaphy is a great mon but for this team he holds it back as it allows latios and keldeo to come in on the revenge kill or during the set up turn and it forces you to switch into one of those two mons that you are already a bit weak to to begin with. Magnezone is a great partner for diancie as it traps scizor, magnezone, and skarmory. Once those mons are off the field diancie can use its decent speed and mixed movepool to break opposing fat teams. With magnezone as a partner diancie can hold its own versus offense and balance.

I would say that running Superpower over earthquake would be a nice choice for tyranitar, Superpower lets you hit heatran, ferrothorn, excadrill, tyranitar, and bisharp. Superpower is a really cool option if you want to hit hard without being locked into a move like earthquake that can be easily taken advantage of.

Possibly: I would consider running iron tail > fire punch but wont suggest it in case you run into a scizor that superpowers ur mag on the switch on a shed shell skarmory. Gl with the team and I hope my rate can be of some use :]
